In the 1920s and 1930s, Otaru, as the first port of Hokkaido, replaced Hakodate as the commercial and financial center of Hokkaido.At that time, the palace was the most prosperous area in Otaru, and various banks and pawnshops were lined up. 120 years ago, in the location of the current Brocade Hotel, a pawnshop was built. Its two stone warehouses are still in the brocade courtyard, and the lamps in the warehouse are still in perfect condition.Sixty years ago, the former owner of the homestay took over the pawnshop and built the house outside the stone warehouse, and at the end of 2017, we took over the brocade and preserved its original and quaint character, including the Showa style and the chamber, and carefully maintained the Japanese yard for over 60 years.The entire building has 6 rooms, which can accommodate 15 people or more at the same time. There are 3 toilets, 2 bathrooms are not in the room, and the toilets in some rooms are shared. It is a typical Japanese traditional building, with floor-to-ceiling glass windows on the first floor and a Japanese courtyard outside the window. In spring, various kinds of precious trees and flowers have begun to bloom. The pine trees in the courtyard have been growing for 180 years!It is a 15-minute walk from Handomiya Park. Whether it is spring, summer, or autumn, it is a beautiful scenic and unforgettable place!A 10 minute walk is where the locals go fishing and a 5 minute walk is the morning market and 24 hour supermarket.There are several buses direct from Otaru Station Bus Terminal 3, which is only 10 minutes away, and it is only 15 minutes walk to the canal. In summer, we have prepared bicycles for you. There is a 24-hour supermarket 5 minutes walk, 10 minutes by the sea, the canal, the birthplace of the railway, etc., morning market. The host lives in the management room on the first floor.

Set in the tranquil Annupuri area, the location offers the quintessential Niseko ski experience — deep powder and stunning views. The ground floor/basement has 1 × double bed. The 1F level has 2 × single beds in each of its 2 bedrooms. Please note that unfortunately the 2F is not ordinarily available for guest use; however, we can open an additional bathroom or space if needed. Please inquire about extra bedding options.
