Ukima-kan Bettei Guest house is a new facility of the Japanese painting studio, Ukima-kan. This is a retro-modern guest house surrounded by large pillars, beautiful glass windows, and antique furniture, where you can spend a relaxing time. There is a spring just to the east, where you can enjoy the natural flowers and water birds that bloom from season to season. The living room, which has a gallery on the first floor, is decorated with Japanese paintings, so you can spend time in a special space. In the bedroom on the 2nd floor, you can sleep like a lord while looking at the beautiful plant painting on the ceiling with the shine of gold foil. You can also experience Japanese painting at the Japanese painting studio on the same premises. You can trace picture scrolls, easily enjoy Japanese painting materials, and create small works. The grape vines that have been brought into the atelier (indoor) are also a must-see.

This private cottage is in Gokase Town, which is located in the middle of Kyushu. You can enjoy nature and spend a relaxing time while being along the national highway line, which is convenient for transportation. This guesthouse that my father renovated it that was originally a warehouse. Although it has a calm atmosphere, it is also an exciting space like a secret base. You can use the wood kitchen stove during the winter. Watching the shimmering flames warms your body and soul.
