Perfect for a long weekend biking in the mountains with my husband and young kiddo! The space provides everything you need in a beautiful setting. James and Colleen made sure I had all the necessary info. It was a hot weekend in Quincy but the combo of the fans they provided and open windows did the job! The kitchen was also lovely as we mostly ate in.

Another stay at John's Pine Hill Retreat went great. Peaceful setting, clean space, responsive host. Can't ask for much more than that.

I couldn’t have asked for a more magical stay at Luci and her husband’s cabin. From the moment I arrived, I felt transported into a serene snowy retreat. The cabin itself was impeccably clean, cozy, and filled with charming touches that made it feel like home. Nestled in the beautiful woods, the surroundings were breath-taking—a perfect winter wonderland. Luci and her husband were exceptional hosts—welcoming, attentive, and thoughtful. They went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed for a comfortable and memorable stay. Whether it was the warm ambiance inside or the tranquillity of the snowy landscape outside, every moment was a joy. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful escape into nature. I can’t wait to return and experience its magic all over again!

Jesse was a great host! We truly enjoyed our stay at their place and the peacefulness of the town. We love Downieville, all the people are so down to earth and very nice!
