This place is super peaceful. Our cabin had a steam shower & sauna, this was so nice to have as this was a work trip. Bed was very comfortable. I Would highly recommend this place for a get out of the city & recharge getaway! Beautiful area. Thanks for hosting us Vivian.

We had an amazing time in Crestone at the A-Frame Cabin. I stayed with my husband and two kids (4 and 6). We loved the interior of the cabin, with beautiful and functional interior decorating. The outdoor space is amazing with this flying saucer wooden playset, swinging chais, hot tub, grill, etc. The Sand Dunes is about 1 hour drive and they provided sand sleds, which was awesome! We enjoyed going into Crestone to grab groceries and eat out at the small and cute restaurants. The hosts were responsive and friendly. We will definitely stay here again.

Vivian was a wonderful host! She was friendly and her hospitality was beyond compare. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others looking for a respite away from the hustle of every day life. The woods behind the cabin were fun to explore and extremely peaceful. This was even better than the description on Air Bnb. I am so glad I had a chance to unwind and reset here

Wish I could give this place an extra star. The area is just gorgeous. The hiking trails, zip line for the kids, yard games and gas fire pit made us never want to leave the property. We spent mornings on the porch drinking coffee and watching dozens of hummingbirds bulking up for migration. Lots of room for our kids, their spouses, and grandkids. It was magical. The owners are just lovely people, and super friendly, helpful, and accommodating. They treated us like friends. We’d all love to go back!

Neat, secluded, off-grid cabin. If you are there in the winter, be aware of the requirement to run a gas generator for 2-3 hours per day. This kinda eliminates the peace and quiet a bit. Also, there are many exterior cameras on the home, so it doesn’t feel super private if that’s your vibe.

Had a wonderful stay at this cabin again. Needed to get away and disconnect for a while and this is the place to go. Place looked great, was clean, and exactly as I remembered. Saw a few deer and lots of birds. Went on hikes walks around the roads here as well to connect with nature again. Loved it and can’t wait to hopefully stay again!

Great place, great hosts, and great location for visiting the sand dunes! Cute cabin just outside "downtown" Fort Garland. Well appointed for us with convenient access to Great Sand Dunes National Park, Alamosa CO which does have a few more restaurants, and the Sand Dunes Recreation hot spring pool and greenhouse. Let me tell you, the pool was a highlight even considering how incredible sledding down the sand dunes was, and how beautiful the property and views where the cabin is set. If you're on the fence for some reason, just book it! You won't be disappointed. If you plan to sled the dunes, rent local and don't bring something in my from Walmart. Heed the rental CO's instructions, especially on waxing, for the best and fastest ride. We loved everything so much more than we even expected to and we'll be looking to come back in the fall and either stay here again or in one of this host's other places.

Place was awesome! Jarad was very hospitable & helpful. Glad he was able to accommodate us with our fur babies as we had an rv breakdown & it makes having to get accommodation for fur babies that make them feel uncomfortable comfortable. We left there feeling homesick. ** other than the sulfur smell in water. It’s manageable.

A little slice of heaven couldn't be more accurate. This cabin was practically out of a dream for our big family to stay in and enjoy ourselves. I've never had such a well equipped kitchen at an air BNB and the house was equally as hospitable. Erin was also gracious enough to give us a late check out since we had a baby with us and we were trying to line up nap time.

Corinne was available to walk us through the home this was very helpful as we got in late. The beds were very comfortable, there was lots of space to stretch out. Well stocked kitchen. The entire home was very well taken care of and super clean. Will definitely stay again on our next golf trip. Highly recommended!

Quiet and peaceful setting. Nice clean house, felt at home. Horses and a giant mule came to visit. We will be coming back.

This is our groups's second stay at Carol's place. It was as comfortable and welcoming as the last time. We spent a lot of time on the deck admiring the lovely view. We walked to town (The Dog Bar!) a couple of times, and hiked the Dike Trail (trailhead is right down the street!) Carol had everything we needed at the cabin, and we had a great time again. Looking forward to the next time!

What a beautiful place. The cabin is plenty big for a large group and has great space for entertaining. There are more beds than you can count and everything was perfect. Our family was amazed and loved everything about the cabin. It is located at the end of a road and surrounded by private land. The property is perfectly remote and located in the most beautiful area of NM. We saw deer and elk on the property daily. I can't tell you enough great things about this place. Highly recommended. We will absolutely be back!

What a great place! We felt right at home and everything we needed was provided. Cuchara is a hidden gem and the Dakota house and hostess Louise was fantastic! Louise dropped off kindling for the fire on a cold and rainy day and was very welcoming! We are all ready thinking about our next visit there!

Great value for the cost. Truly is a HIDDEN escape with a fire pit, beautiful creek and lots of nature. There is next to no cell service so make sure your whole party either arrives together or has the directions on hand/downloaded. My husband and his groomsmen stayed here before our wedding and it couldn’t have been more perfect for them. It was a little dirty in the mountain cabin sense lol but everything else was pristine. A true little peaceful gem for the rye area.
