Holiday houses in Lagolio

Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit in Elodies Unterkunft. Elodie war sehr hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend und es war alles vorhanden was wir gebraucht haben. Wir durften frisches Obst aus dem Garten ernten und uns mit Elodies liebenswerten Haustieren anfreunden. Insbesondere den großzügigen und wunderschönen Außenbereich haben wir sehr genossen. Danke nochmal an Elodie, wir würden jederzeit gerne wieder kommen!

La casa rispetta a pieno l’annuncio dell’host Manos, anzi dal vivo è ancora più bella. Inoltre al nostro arrivo siamo rimasti colpiti dalla sua piena disponibilità anche se arrivati alle 2 di notte. Il frigo era pieno di prodotti tipici (non usuale) lui fantastico in ogni giorno del nostro soggiorno Che dire, un soggiorno fantastico Merita 6 stelle

One of the best places we ever stayed in Crete so far! The location is magnificent. Total privacy and stunning view. The inside of the house might seem a bit small from the pictures, but it's not. It is just about the right size for a family. We travelled with our 3 children (6, 4 and 1 year old). Antonios and his wife welcomed us at the nearby tavern Imeros in the village of Lagolio and then showed the way to the house, very easy to find. They were very kind and always quickly responded to any messages. The house is located about 700 meters from the village of Lagolio with no neighbours. This does mean you do need a car. Closest super market is in Timbaki, about 5 km away. Tavern Imeros in Lagolio serves delicious authentic Greek food, we enjoyed it almost every day. We were able to take the food to the house, after we put the children to bed. Several beaches, archeological sites, walking paths, etc. in the neighbourhood (15 - 30 min. driving). We also enjoyed the pool at the house!

This place is simply amazing. The photos don’t even do it justice. Andreas greeted us with fresh fruit, champagne, and other typical Greek specialties and was just so nice. The house is spacious and has everything you might need during a vacation and more. The views of the ocean are terrific and the pool was so nice and refreshing. Our daughter loved it and so did we. You don’t even have to leave the property to have an amazing vacation. But if you feel like exploring, the town of matala, the archeologic site of Festos and the beaches in the area are all within a 20-30 minute drive. If you think about booking, just do it! You won’t be disappointed. There are also a few nice taverns within a 10 minute drive if you don’t feel like cooking, e.g. the restaurant Imeros, which had amazing food. Everything was absolutely perfect! We had a wonderful time staying here! Niki and her family are very friendly and welcoming. The house is very comfortable, there is everything needed, and the view is stunning! Thank you for your warm welcome, we’ll happily come back if we come to Crete again! We recommend 100%

Es war genauso, wie ich es mir vorgestellt hab. Ein Haus, das seinen Charakter behalten hat und der traditionellen Einrichtung entsprach mit Liebe zum Detail und wunderschönen Kunstwerken. Da ist es gar nicht wichtig, ob es den neuesten Standards entspricht, da gibt es andere Werte. Es war alles da, was man im Alltag braucht. Danke Vanias für die Willkommensgesten, für deine herzlichen Worte, über unseren Kontakt im Vorfeld, für Olivenöl, selbstgemachte Marmelade und Honig, Köstlichkeit vom Bäcker und natürlich den Raki, den ich auch für den Zitronenkuchen verwendet hab. Stundenweise saß ich im kühlen Schatten des Zitronenbaums vor dem Haus, lesend mit Kaffee oder Wein und den Geräuschen des Dorfes lauschend. Ich mag das Dorf sehr, die lieben Menschen im Kafenion und Taverne, im kleinen Supermarket, super Bäcker, sogar eine Apotheke gibt es. Alles liegt nah! Phaistos, das Meer, der Markt in Mires oder Tymbaki, ein wunderbarer Ort, um die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Danke

The house is incredible and looks even better in real life than in the pictures. It’s a beautiful ancient oil mill that was renovated and now serves as the perfect place to relax and enjoy peaceful and quiet times in the wild south of Crete. The views from the house are incredible - especially at night - and you are completely alone; there is no one in the vicinity that can see you, so you can enjoy the highest level of privacy there. The pool is kept in pristine condition and cleaned regularly. The house also has a bbq grill and other useful items in a small shed nearby. There’s a great traditional tavern close by (30 seconds by foot) with amazing Greek food and good wine at a fair price. The hosts are very friendly and always in touch to assist with any request. When the WiFi didn’t work as it should, the hosts organised for someone to come to the house and install a new router, so we had Wifi. A rental car is recommended. Conclusion: Highly recommended!
