Lake house holiday rentals in Lake Burton

This was such a sweet stay and we wish we could have stayed longer! Beautiful location - my husband enjoyed fly fishing during the day on the water and I was only 20 minutes from kayaking at the NOC. The house was very clean - tidy bathroom and kitchen with all your basics stocked to get you started. Hot tub was lovely and very clean! There is a steeper drop off next to the outside firepit so I would be mindful with little children. Easy check in and they were very flexible and responsive when we had some crazy weather pop up nearby. We will be back again and hopefully stay a little longer!

10/10 would go back. We had a great time. So sweet to leave a present when we got there. Plenty of things to do around the place. Beautiful area, wild life, and so close to the lake. We had such a blast and we're even able to do laundry before we left. They had EVERYTHING we needed. Loved the fire pit and the dock on the lake. We will for sure be back. Great location on the water. Close to grocery stores and restaurants as well. Large dock and deck with lots of chairs/tables. Large house with lots of space to have privacy when wanted, but also hang out together. Weather didn’t cooperate so we couldn’t take advantage of the kayaks, marina or hikes in the surrounding state parks. There was a binder listing local restaurants and the local waterfall hikes available.

We usually go to the beach but the lake house was a nice change. Quiet and restful. Big rooms and our group of 7 could spread out. Well appointed kitchen, several dining areas and outdoor seating. Used hot tub every day. Lots of blow up water toys and life jackets. Spent one day at the water park also, about 35 minutes away. Lake pretty peaceful on north end- a few jet ski riders were worrisome so kids stayed close to dock. Upper deck great for yoga and sunning. Lisa responded quickly to any questions. Highly recommend !

CONVENIENT FOR OUR VISIT WITH NEARBY IN LAWS. VERY NATURAL, PRIVATE AND SERENE. COMFORTABLE, CLEAN ,WELL FURNISHED. WE'D DEFINITELY STAY THERE AGAIN IF IN THE AREA. ONE CAVEAT, MOST RESTAURANTS ARE CLOSED ON MONDAYS AND BRING YOUR OWN PROVISIONS.

If you want to enjoy the most beautiful mountain lake in North Carolina, and stay in the most beautiful house on the lake, you need look no further than this Airbnb. Lake Santeetlah’s shoreline is mostly undeveloped; the water temperature is perfect for swimming; and the views are spectacular. Alisha is a gracious host. She will answer any question you have within minutes, yet she does not impose on your visit. The house is spotless; it easily sleeps six adults (3 couples) and two children (bunk beds). It is well equipped and has a cozy, family atmosphere. Be aware that the driveway can be daunting at first, but follow Alisha’s instructions for entering and exiting, and you will have no problems with any size passenger vehicle.

We absolutely loved our stay at this cozy, lakefront cottage in Hayesville! The area was so peaceful and relaxing. The view from the screened porch was amazing! From there, we watched the thunderstorms march up the lake, and were gifted with a beautiful rainbow. We were entertained by 3 Pilated woodpeckers playing on the log pile. The fish were always jumping , and were abundant around the dock! We caught many bluegills and one catfish. The home had everything you could ever need. The beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed paddling the kayaks and roasting marshmallows by the firepit. We can't wait to go back!

I couldn't be more pleased with my first AirBnB stay. The place was clean, inviting, and well-stocked. I wasn't expecting spices, dog toys, dog bowls, dog cot, etc. The fully fenced in yard, lake access, available kayaks, and privacy are the only things I wanted and this place sure supplied! the hot tub, outdoor shower, and firepit were huge bonuses. Also, met and talked with the neighbor who is super friendly 😉 I stayed alone the first half with my dogs and got my peace in. The second half a couple girl friends joined and we thoroughly enjoyed paddling out the this little island and throwing rocks, trying to fish, etc. Enjoying using the coloring supplies, games, and grill as well! It did storm most of the week, but even that was enjoyable! 10/10 experience for us all.

To start, Leah was extremely responsive and friendly both leading up to and during our stay. The house itself was amazing. Aside from being clean and well kept, the views and water access made our whole trip. Cannot recommend enough

Such a beautiful home and place. We enjoyed the stay! The pool was by far our favorite just wish we had better weather to enjoy it further. Great customer service. We accidentally set the fire alarm off one night and she didn’t hesitate to message to make sure everything was okay.

We loved the DiNardo’s place. It fit our family perfectly and had the lake right there and a hot tub too. We loved hanging out on the deck by the fireplace. And used the kayaks. We rented a boat at Nottely Marina and picked up everyone at the house. We weren’t originally going to bring our dogs, but decided to and we’re glad we did. They went on hikes with us, could go to the winery, and went in the boat too! We didn’t eat out a lot. Mainly cooked in. The Walmart and Ingles were close for groceries. The grill was good and is hooked up to a natural gas line. There is also a green egg which we did not use. The wrap around deck was perfect for the dogs and would be great for little kids too. Hope to be back again!

Mario's place is a true mountain hideaway. Rustic and comfy with enough bathrooms for a large family. Big living room to gather in, and spacey enough to get some time to yourself if needed. The place is well-stocked and clean. The vibe is clutter free and relaxed, homey and spacious. Woodsy with lots of birdsong and no neighbors within sight of the house except way down the mountain far away. There wasn't really anything we needed that we didn't find...extra blankets and pillows, toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, etc. There was even a chalk marker to mark our initials on our water bottles. Really can't say enough great things about this stay, and don't have anything negative to say. Mario is an excellent host and really flexible, with very few rules other than to respect his property. Highly recommend all the way around!

Great spot. House was clean, and the hosts were very easy to contact. House is pn the North end of the lake which is much more calm than the southern portion. Also very close to a Marina.

Tyler’s place was nice and comfortable. Clean beds and couches. We had a large group. My sisters and I planned on cooking daily. When I notified Tyler that one of the burners was not working he sent a maintenance employee to check it out. A new stove was installed for us to use. The children enjoyed riding their bikes in the neighborhood and wanted to get in the pool but it was too cold. We have to plan another trip. Christmas was fun at this house . Thank you Tyler for being such an awesome and responsive host!

My family loved our stay at Wilstone! The home is lovely and pristine, with a warm and inviting family lodge feel. And the view is amazing! My teenage children enjoyed the downstairs rooms with private bathrooms and we all had fun playing pool. It was a fantastic set up for us! We’ve already agreed we want to go back!

Beautiful house. Amazing location. The dock is perfect with the shade of the gazebo. They have too many amenities to list. It was the perfect place to stay. I would definitely come back!!

We had a great stay at Kurt’s couples cottage. The place is as described, perfect for a couple, with serene atmosphere, lovely location just off the Taccoa river. We were not into fishing, so may not have enjoyed the stay to its fullest potential but we still loved the place regardless. We were given a tour of place upon arrival as the host happened to be around. There is a fireplace, a fire-pit, lots of firewood with starter, etc., in addition to seating, hammock, and so on. Lots of good stuff. Truly enjoyed the stay.

What an amazing stay! The lake house is so unique, and there is so much to do without even having to leave. It has three separate levels with a room and bathroom on each. The upstairs has a jacuzzi tub overlooking the beautiful lake. The morning fog on the lake from the third floor is magical. The bottom floor is the perfect place to hang out with your entire family, as there is ping-pong, darts, pool, and board games. We had an absolute blast and would book again. I can't imagine how much fun it would be in the summer with warmer weather and the lake. Everything was spotless and immaculate, and the location was extremely safe and close to everything you needed. Host was excellent. Highly recommend!

Our stay at Breanna and Danielle's "Home in Sapphire" was nothing short of magical. Nestled in breathtaking surroundings, this gem is perfectly located on the water, offering stunning views that made every moment feel like a postcard. The home itself was incredibly clean, reflecting the hosts' attention to detail and care for their guests. Each room was wonderfully decorated, combining elegance with a cozy charm that made us feel right at home. The furniture was exceptionally comfortable, and the beds provided a restful night's sleep after our days of exploring. We truly enjoyed our time at "Home in Sapphire" and left with our hearts full and spirits lifted. We can’t wait to return to this beautiful haven again!

Kristy was very nice and responsive. The house was absolutely beautiful and clean. The living room/patio scenery were stunning. We couldn’t get enough of the jacuzzi (tv outside was a plus). Definitely would recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Morganton/Blue ridge area, whether you want a quiet getaway or a close spot to the lake/beach.

We loved the place! The waterfall and private cove were great! We were slightly confused about where our rental ended and others started and what the common areas were. Once I asked, everything was clear. My wife loved the Happy Anniversary card when we arrived. The amenities were perfect and up to date. The bed was very comfortable with the new, adjustable mattress and base. We loved the 2 head shower, although the time it took to get hot water was a little long. Thank you for hosting and sharing this beautiful slice of heaven to get away from "civilization"!
