Chalet holiday rentals in Lake Huron

What an absolute "gem" in the woods. We couldn't have asked for a better host. Jennifer was very receptive and periodically checked "to make sure" everything was okay. The house was in a secluded and quiet wooded neighborhood. There is something to be said about enjoying a hot cup of coffee sitting and the porch and taking in the sights and sounds of autumn and the smell of the fallen leaves. The dogs had a great time exploring the fenced in yard. I have a passion for cooking and found the kitchen supplied with an abundant supply of cooking utensils and pots and pans with a large kitchen table to sit down and enjoy those dishes. Quiet time in the evenings were spent watching movies in the family rooms. The house is centrally located and never more than an hour away from our daily adventures in various areas in the state. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation and would gladly stay here again.

Great communication with Shawn from start to finish, the home was what we expected and equipped with almost everything we needed. Lots of parking available, great spaces for groups to hang out, easy to host team meals. We were there for a ski trip and got pounded with snow, burying all sidewalks and making the walk to villages and chairlifts more difficult - but doable.

Tamara’s rental was perfect for a girls weekend! Great sleeping arrangements. Hot tub was nice and clean. The whole canine was spot less and clean. Only 10 min uber ride into blue mountain. Great location. Would definitely recommend staying here.

We had a great stay at Vivian's place! The chalet was very clean, exactly as described, and fit our group of 13 comfortably. We especially liked the big dining table that was great for meals and games together, and that the kitchen/living room area was on a separate floor from all the bedrooms as this made it easy to accommodate different schedules within the group. One thing to note is that the kitchen didn't have some cooking items like tin foil, cooking oil, and a baking sheet, so be sure to bring those if you'll need them. There was coffee however which we really appreciated! Vivian was very responsive to all messages and sent clear instructions for the space. Definitely recommend for a big group trip, would book again!

Sara’s place was absolutely spectacular! Every little detail was thoughtfully considered, making it perfect for a big group or family. From an abundance of towels, blankets, and dishes to a well-stocked kitchen with spices—you name it, they had it! Our family frequently rents large homes, and it's usually hard to please everyone, but this time, not a single person had any complaints—only praise for how much they enjoyed the stay. The amenities were top-notch! We made great use of the sauna, red light bathrooms, and hot tub. Plus, the home offered plenty of gathering spaces for both adults and kids to relax and enjoy. It was truly a comfortable and welcoming experience. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a well-equipped, thoughtfully designed getaway!

Our host was very respectful, responsive, and helpful throughout our stay. The cottage was well-equipped with everything we needed and offered great amenities. The location was also convenient and pleasant. Overall, we had a wonderful time here and would definitely recommend this place to others!

Greg and meagan are extremely great host they helped with couple things during my stay as the bathroom door was staying open they came right away to service , i told them toaster was broken they went to buy a brand new one and replaced it right away, also prompt with stove problem we had There are quick responsive at any time of the day The home was very clean and neat washrooms were very nice Loved the indoor hotub could use it at anytime !! Close walking distance to the village nice for a walk on a nice day Bbq was very clean and ready for use Overall my stay there with my family was great and i definitely would stay here again Thank you guys for everything

Enjoyed our stay very much! It was the perfect place to host our 11 person bachelorette. It had all the amenities and was walkable to the village (20min). It was a close drive to collingwood as well! Host was responsive and helpful - overall a great stay for us!!

This house was exactly like the pictures, great hot tub and sauna, big rooms and comfortable beds. Right at the base of the mountain close to all amenities.

Our group of 12 women were very well accommodated in this chalet for our spa weekend. The number of bedrooms, beds, and bathrooms was perfect. The size of the unit allowed for everyone to have their own space. The layout allowed for us to gather as a group of 12 or breakout into smaller groups . The chalet was clean, the kitchen was well equipped with utensils, dishes , barware etc. There was more than adequate seating in the living areas and at the dining table/island. Location was fabulous- minutes to Scandinave Spa, walking distance to Village and easy drive to Thornbury and Collingwood for shopping, dining and takeout. A wonderful weekend getaway.

I had about 15-20 people coming to a get together for my wedding, everything was clean and well prepared. Even though it rained it was still a very pleasant time at the hot tub.

Lovely place. Had a country feel but was close to everything we needed.

We had a lovely stay. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and bake. All rooms were neat and clean. The linens were lovely, right down to the comfortable pillows. Every bedroom was decorated and comfortable as the next. The house has amazing natural light. The house is a close car ride to restaurants, shopping and hiking. We were a group of four and we all agreed that we would return.

Me and 9 girlfriends had a blast celebrating my best friend’s Bachelorette party here! Oksana was helpful and responsive, despite having a very busy day of her own, and being proactive in letting us know beforehand when to expect a response from her/giving us an alternative for quicker communication. The space was clean, perfect for the amount of guests, and the already-supplied firewood was a great bonus. Would recommend both home and host!

The house was very clean and a cool layout. We loved the sauna, the fireplace and the were able to use the pool table. The house had everything we could have needed. It was the perfect cozy winter weekend getaway. Close by to the highlands if you will be doing activities at that resort. About 40 minute drive to Boyne Mountain. Very pretty and a quiet peaceful area. Would definitely love to stay here in the summer months next time. Would highly recommend for a family!

Michell was an amazing host! The place was amazing and we’re extremely satisfied. Definitely recommend this place to others looking for a nice getaway from the city! Plenty of amenities and a nice space all round.

Amazing cottage and stay. Has everything you need and then some. We loved the pool with our little ones and the property and cottage is beautiful

5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I stayed at this cottage in Tobermory for 2 days and had a wonderful experience. The place was very clean, cozy, and had a beautiful view. It was a perfect spot to relax and enjoy nature. The host was friendly and helpful, making everything easy from check-in to check-out. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. I would love to come back again!

I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a relaxing getaway. It was just like the pictures, if not, better! We had 11 people in our group and we absolutely loved every part of the place and the location! There was more than enough sleeping arrangements, kitchen appliances, and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The binder full of instructions was very helpful as well. We enjoyed the kayaks, paddle boat, and play set in backyard! We even met some of the neighbors’ dogs that passed by throughout the day (so if you like dogs, that is a bonus)! The guys all golfed at the nearby golf course and they came back for some billiards and games in the basement! The ladies and I enjoyed everything the place had to offer, especially the hot tub (which also had clear instructions on what to do and how to handle it). It was a chilly and VERY windy Memorial Weekend for us, but it was still loads of fun for my group!! ❤️

This home was exactly what we were hoping it would be: peaceful, quiet, secluded, and absolutely breathtaking views. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind. The hosts were awesome to work with, responsive and helpful. Looking forward to hopefully returning!

We had a lovely stay with our family at this home. The host was super accommodating and we appreciated their communication. The lake and surroundings are beautiful. It was so nice waking to bird song and light breeze. The shared space, indoors and outdoors, is wonderful for a large group of adults. The hosts are generous re. fire wood, coffee, and watercraft use! Everyone slept comfortably in the various bedrooms.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Blue Chalet. The house was as described, roomy enough for our party of 8 adults. The lakefront was very nice with the house close to the water with few stairs to get to the lake. The house had some extras like ample bath towels and beach towels for all. Communication with Eric, the host, was great. He was prompt with his responses and gave good instructions for check in and out. There's an ice cream and coney shop within walking distance which we frequented several days. Unfortunately there was a mechanical issue with the pontoon boat we rented from the owner and we were unable to use it. However Eric gave us the names of a few companies in the area that rent pontoons and were able to rent from them.
