Our cabin is in the gated Riverbend community on a quiet wooded lot and is very cozy and comfortable inside and out. It is perfect for a couple's getaway from city hustle and bustle. Wildlife abounds in the area. Inside are all the comforts of home, including a very comfortable Sealy memory foam king mattress. There is a big Ingles and several restaurants nearby. Chimney Rock and the lake (Lake Lure) are under repair and closed for the season. Our private lake is open and as pretty as ever.

Bear River Lodge has everything you could want for your Lake Lure getaway. This quaint cabin is just 3 minutes away from the Rumbling Bald Resort with access to all of the resort’s amenities. This 3,000sf home features 3 bedrooms plus a den with a queen bed with sleeping accommodations providing comfortable sleeping for up to 10 guests, 3.5 bathrooms, a spacious screened-in porch, a pool table and a hot tub. Relax and enjoy the splendor of Lake Lure and the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Our sweet retreat

Our Sweet Retreat sits down hill from the main road. With a private paved parking area. The house sits approximately 12 steps below parking area with large wrap around porch. The main living area is open with vaulted ceiling. There are two bedrooms on the main floor and a full bath . Upstairs is a small loft and master suite with full bath, fireplace & private deck overlooking the lake. There is a large stone fireplace on the North end of the cabin and a covered deck on the lakeside.

Our cottage continues to host peaceful, restorative stays, but some guests find limited activities.
