Family-friendly holiday rentals in Lake Nicaragua

This was our second time staying at *Casa de Campo*, and once again, our experience was excellent. The home was very clean, and the patio was beautiful and well maintained—perfect for relaxing. The staff was great and very helpful throughout our stay. The air conditioning worked perfectly in all the bedrooms, which made our stay very comfortable. The only small issue we encountered was with the Wi-Fi. The reception didn’t cover the whole house, and we had to stay close to the kitchen to get a decent signal, which occasionally dropped. Aside from that, everything else was wonderful. We highly recommend this place and look forward to staying here again.

A+ book it don’t hesitate. A dream home in a dream location. We had such a wonderful stay at this jungle hideaway! The property is absolutely stunning—completely surrounded by lush greenery and peaceful nature. Waking up to the sounds of the jungle and the breathtaking views each morning was honestly magical. The space was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. It felt like the perfect escape from the busyness of everyday life. We had a great time relaxing, exploring, and just soaking in the beauty around me. Would definitely come back and already recommending it to friends.

Wonderful place, with a spectacular view! The statue of Christ is super close to Malibu and the host was also super helpful in recommending local restaurants with a 20% discount :) They’re super attentive when it comes to any inquiries or maintenance questions. However, I will say that there were a lot of bugs outside so I recommend bringing repellent. Its location is not that inclined like most places in San Juan, so that was another upside to it. Great location, great staff, great place ❤️

Equilibrio was all that I hoped for and more. The owners, James and Gabriela have put much thought into the experience, anticipating what might delight their guests. There was plenty of space to relax, create, read, meditate, play, and enjoy the jungle, river, and beach. The casitas are fenced off from each other to create large, private jungle "yards." The 15 acre retreat is near town, but secluded, and each large casita has its own sizable part of the whole. I loved our "Guitar" casita which brings the best parts of the outside in -- the jungle view, the bird sounds, the breezes, and leaves out the bugs and rain. Heaven. The mosquito netting walls simply disappear. Our casita had plenty of bottled water, a refrigerator, coffee maker, coffee and tea, a closet room, and a large bathroom with a door that leads to a spacious, private, luxurious, solar-heated outdoor shower. We also had a private palapa with hammocks and rocking chairs. Outside our fence, down the trail was a larger shared space with more hammocks and rockers that was also the main gathering place/dining room/performance space. The staff is nearly invisible, but always there when you need them, smiling and helpful, serving food and drinks. The food was outstanding, featuring local vegetables, fruit smoothies and juices. The resort is not directly on the beach, but a short, bird-watching boat ride from the beach. Canoes and kayaks are available for exploration of the river estuary and trips to the beach. Daily yoga was included in our package and was not to be missed. Three days of the week we were at the studio on Popoyo beach where we could listen to the waves and gaze at the horizon. The beach is huge, beautiful, and empty. The lovely yoga studio at Equilibrio was a large palapa with a wood floor and mosquito netting all around that can be unfurled, if needed. Our teacher, Brook was wonderful, tailoring classes to our needs. We loved her classes and also managed to squeeze in some private sessions. Equilibrio is a treat, far away from the touristy parts, with nature all around and thoughtful service. Many thanks to James, Gabriela, and Brook for creating such a serene retreat experience and for the fantastic yoga. I hope to return soon.

We were lucky to book this place in San Juan. A real gem a short walk from town with great access to everything. The house is incredible with everything that you need to have a great time - jacuzzi, BBQ, amazing kitchen all surrounded by incredible views. if you book with Tanguy, you will not be disappointed! Corrin e Jacq foram anfitriões excepcionais. Sempre presentes e super diligentes. A casa, por sua vez, é perfeita: excelente localização, equipada com tudo com o que você precisa (e mais um pouco) e extremamente confortável e agradável. Foi uma experiência incrível, que recomendo a todos (especialmente a quem surfa, tendo em vista as duas ondas “world class” localizadas dentro do condomínio).

Todo bien, una ubicación muy conveniente, relación precio súper. Recomendación hacer un par de mejoras: las puertas del baño no cerraban bien, colocar un poco más de utensilios ya que son limitados, por lo demás lugar muy hermoso para desconectarse y llenarte de energía.

Mi familia y yo disfrutamos de unos días de descanso y paz. Agradecemos mucho las atenciones a todos los detalles. Brígida y el personal de la villa fueron muy atentos a nuestras consultas y solicitudes. Definitivamente volveremos. Gracias !

Nuestra estancia en la villa fue maravillosa. El lugar es acogedor, limpio y muy bien cuidado, ideal para descansar y disfrutar de la naturaleza. La vista a la laguna es espectacular y el ambiente es muy tranquilo. Miriam fue una excelente anfitriona: siempre atenta, amable y dispuesta a ayudarnos en todo momento. Se nota el cariño con el que cuida cada detalle. Sin duda, nos encantaría volver.

We had a wonderful stay in Oscar’s home. The house was very clean and had everything we neeed for our trip. Close to everything, yet still far from the noise of the city. Very safe and well kept. Oscar and Jacobo were amazing hosts. Made sure we had everything we needed and even suggested places to see and eat in Managua! Will definitely be back!

Excellent séjour ! La piscine au milieu du salon nous à vraiment étonnée dans le bon sens ! Très original et atypique. De bons restaurants et points d’intérêts à proximité. Julio était très réactif à nos messages et nous donner des bons plan pour que notre séjour se passent très bien. Merci beaucoup ☺️

Great place to stay, close to everything you need.. Apartment was well stocked and comfortable!! Extremely helpful with letting me check-in early and checkout late. Would definitely stay again!!

The house is amazing, you have access to the beach right in front of you, only recommendation for anybody is to bring your own food from a local supermarket as there is an hour drive off road(4x4 recommended) after reaching san juan, the place is very private, you have the beach for yourself, the house is very clean, enough rooms, and spacious. Local housekeeper was very useful as he can go buy you items at extra cost while you enjoy your time, final score 10/10.

Estuvimos muy agusto, todo se corresponde como está descrito en la información. Es un lugar absolutamente precioso delante del mar. Conseguimos la tranquilidad que deseábamos y Roger se mostró muy amable y comunicativo desde el momento de nuestra llegada.

Unbelievable location. Right on the beach in front of an amazing break. House is open and beautiful. Perfect indoor outdoor living. Just absolutely beautiful. We had an amazing week and fell in love with the community there. It’s a very special place and James is an excellent host- very responsive. We hope to be back!

We loved staying at Antonio's beautiful home. Well stocked kitchen & living room, super comfy bedrooms & the AC worked great. Great location to wander & shop and loved the dipping pool to cool off at the end of the day. The layout was great because the bedrooms were in the back away from traffic and the kitchen area is separated at the front so you can be noisy in the morning if everyone else is still sleeping!

Maria’s place was amazing, the view of San Juan del Sur bay was absolutely beautiful! She was incredibly communicative and attentive, always making sure we were comfortable and well-informed. We especially appreciated her guidance on electricity use, which helped us stay within the daily budget, very helpful given how energy costs work locally. Her recommendations for places to visit were spot on, and she was always ready to help. Thank you, Maria, for being such a thoughtful and welcoming host!

El mejor hospedaje en el que he estado en Granada todo fue excelente super recomendable para visitar esa bella ciudad si buscas seguridad y tranquilidad, muy cercano a sitios de atractivo turístico y excelentes restaurantes

Casa Yula was a wonderful place to stay! The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable, each with its own private bathroom. The air conditioning worked perfectly, which was a big plus during the warmer days. We felt right at home from the moment we arrived. Eveling, our host, was incredibly responsive and attentive—she made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The location is also a highlight. There are convenience stores and local restaurants within walking distance, which made it easy to grab meals and essentials. Since my family is originally from Granada, the location was ideal for us to connect with relatives and explore familiar places. Overall, we loved our stay at Casa Yula and would absolutely book this place again. Highly recommended for families or anyone looking for a welcoming, well-located stay in Granada!
