Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Lake View, Chicago

We stayed for a week with 2 children of 8 and 10. The place is larger than we expected; which is nice. The street and neighborhood are both really nice. Train is close; which is very handy to visit the city. Close to Lincoln park and many restaurants and shops. This place was very comfortable, private and quiet. Brian was also also very flexible with check in and check out times. Definitely recommended !

What a lovely home! We and our two daughters had a great stay. The master bedroom is quite spacious, the beds are comfortable, there was ample closet space, and the kitchen is fantastic! The Roscoe Village neighborhood more generally is charming and walkable to any trips for essentials (multiple grocery stores and pharmacies within half a mile). While the Cubs were on the road during our trip, the house is an easy 20-minute walk to Wrigley Field. And Sharleen was always prompt and very helpful in answering the questions we had. We would happily return!

Even more spacious than in the photos! Well-kept place, with a fully stocked kitchen, projector, BOSE speaker, and great backyard. Double shower in the master bedroom, and strong water pressure. Entry is easy with a code. Finally, the host is VERY accommodating, flexible, and responsive. Recommended!

Such a great place to stay

Was a very nice and relaxing place to stay after spending time in the city! Really close to multiple bus stops which made the public transport really easy to access. The inside was very clean and nice, the bed is extremely comfortable! Would stay again!

My boyfriend and I had a fantastic weekend at Gladys’ place. She was super responsive, and check-in was easy with clear instructions. The apartment was cozy and modern, but still felt homey—like our own space for the weekend. It was clean, well-kept, and had thoughtful touches like a Brita pitcher, fresh towels, sheets, and a stocked kitchen. The layout was cute and the decor was simple but perfect—more personality than a hotel room without being cluttered. One of the highlights was the bus stop literally 10 feet from the door, which made getting into southern Chicago (via bus to the Blue Line) super convenient. We also loved walking to Dunkin’ each morning once we realized how close it was. The location felt peaceful but still had a few cute restaurants nearby. We never ran into the hosts, but it felt private even with the shared entry. This stay is in our top 5 Airbnbs—perfect for a couples getaway! Thank you, Gladys, for being such a thoughtful host!

Not our first time here. Jessica is always quick to respond to our questions and requests. If just the 2 of us, will always look to see if Jessica’s home is available. And close to our grandson!

Dean was the best host my girlfriend and I have had! He is proactive, friendly, great with communication, and provides everything you need for a great stay. Not only this, but the place was extremely comforting and beautiful! We had an amazing stay and would love to stay here again! Not to mention this place is an amazing price for how nice the stay was! Cozy. Clean. Quiet. Charming old building. We loved the surrounding area. Lots of great places to shop and eat. Easy walk to the lake shore. Short walk to the train station. We would definitely stay here again.

Exceptional stay! A gem for any Chicago trip. We fell in love with Nancy’s place & her neighbourhood. Such a gorgeous home, tons of character and charm. All six of us were comfortable, enjoyed some local frozen custard on the patio. Located near transit and walking distance to tons of great restaurants and pubs. Could not have found a better stay if we tried!

Great space. Very clean inside and safe neighborhood outside. Pleasantly surprised by the bed, even though it looked so thin in the photos.

My wife and another couple had a lovely long weekend in John’s apartment. It’s exactly like the photos, in a beautiful neighborhood in Chicago. Kitchen is well stocked. Bathroom worked well, beds were comfortable, and John left a list of lots of local recommendations. The brown line is nearby; note that there is a soft whir when it passes, but it didn’t bother any of us (neither the NYC nor the suburban residents). Would highly recommend!

Great location just 4 blocks north of Wrigley and many restaurants close by. The bathroom was clean and updated - nice shower and hot water. Beds comfortable. James was responsive and proactive with detailed info. Hope to be back!

I truly enjoyed our stay here! So many places to select when you’re looking to book it can be overwhelming. I am so happy we picked it his spot the location was perfect! It’s a quick walk to anything you need. The place is very spacious and comfortable, I love the modern look! Carlos and his team went way above and beyond helping us feel right at home! We loved our stay at Danny's place! This was our first time visiting Lincoln Park, and the location of the home was perfect. We walked to restaurants, the Lincoln Park Zoo, and the beach. We appreciated being able to have our dogs with us and found the area very dog-friendly on our walks. Danny was kind and thoughtful with all the extra touches and responsive communication. He even caught us in person to make sure we had everything we needed. Our family felt safe walking in the neighborhood day and night. We even took the bus to downtown Chicago, which is only a few miles away. The house itself was very clean and large - our family of 4 plus 2 dogs had plenty of room to spread out and feel comfortable. We highly recommend the home to others and hope we can return again someday!

The place was in a really convenient location, the place itself is really neat. The only downside is the noise from the train. But overall, it was good for our trip!

The Airbnb was clean, exactly as described, and in a great location. Check in was easy and we were able to get settled right away. William was very proactive in communicating instructions well before our arrival. Overall, we had a lovely time visiting Chicago and would recommend staying here!

A Designer’s Dream – Absolute Perfection! This home is truly exceptional—every detail reflects thoughtful design and top-tier quality. It’s a designer’s dream, with stunning décor, a comfortable and beautifully clean space, and every amenity you could possibly need. The furnishings and finishes are stylish and well appointed, making the entire experience feel luxurious and relaxing. But the real showstopper? The backyard! It’s like a second living room—lush, tranquil, and designed for ultimate comfort and enjoyment. We loved spending time out there and honestly didn’t want to leave. It's so much better than anything a hotel could even begin to provide! We will absolutely be back!

Beautiful, clean unit and Will was extremely responsive and helpful. Super clean, and the beds and furniture were soooooo comfortable! It looks exactly as it does in the photos and there are so many items included, in case you forgot something! A foot massager?! Amazing 🤣The location is perfect with lots to do close by and no shortage of options for places to eat. I feel extremely fortunate that I came across this one and will definitely book again in the future. Just perfect.

The time spent here was wonderful. This place has everything you need to feel at home away from home. Everything was clean and comfortable. The area was also really nice with tons of food and drinks within walking distance. The blue line is a short walk away and the busses run on the corner. I would definitely stay here again when coming back to Chicago.

This is a WONDERFUL one bedroom apartment that is both private and spacious! The owner/host has the space fabulously decorated with an eclectic mix of original contemporary artwork and antiques. Nothing is generic about the space and it has been outfitted for guests with loving care. The host, Kaye, clearly puts much trust in her guests with her charming decor and furnishings. The amount of space, the privacy and the home-y feel make it a place we'd love to return to.

Really lovely place to stay, comfortable flat in a quiet area. Couple of minutes' walk to buses and the blue line to get into the City. Ewa was very communicative and helpful, the place was clean, and I appreciated the selection of snacks and tea on arrival. Would definitely stay again if I visit Chicago.
