Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Lake View, Chicago

We stayed for a week with 2 children of 8 and 10. The place is larger than we expected; which is nice. The street and neighborhood are both really nice. Train is close; which is very handy to visit the city. Close to Lincoln park and many restaurants and shops. This place was very comfortable, private and quiet. Brian was also also very flexible with check in and check out times. Definitely recommended !

The accommodation was a home away from home and provided a great place to stay for our multigenerational visit to Chicago.

One of the nicest places near Chicago,

Very comfy apartment in a great neighborhood. We were in town for a baseball game and it’s a terrific place for that, just about a 20-minute walk to Wrigley Field. The only thing to be concerned about is the stairs: there are two flights to get into the apartment and they’re fairly steep and small, so if you have mobility issues that would be a concern. I don’t and had no problem. Karen is a lovely host and was very helpful when I was getting into the place and unloading my stuff from my car. There are tons of restaurants and coffee shops in the area, so it’s a great place to explore and hang out.

Even more spacious than in the photos! Well-kept place, with a fully stocked kitchen, projector, BOSE speaker, and great backyard. Double shower in the master bedroom, and strong water pressure. Entry is easy with a code. Finally, the host is VERY accommodating, flexible, and responsive. Recommended!

O espaço da Janice é extremamente aconchegante. A cozinha é super equipada (geladeira, fogao, cafeteira, panelas e demais utensílios... alem de manteiga e temperos básicos). O quarto é lindo e a cama super confortável. O banheiro estava limpo e havia itens de higiene de ótima qualidade, além de um excelente secador de cabelo. A televisão era grande e a sala super confortável. Amamos tudo. Quando voltar à Chicago, será a minha escolha!!

My boyfriend and I had a fantastic weekend at Gladys’ place. She was super responsive, and check-in was easy with clear instructions. The apartment was cozy and modern, but still felt homey—like our own space for the weekend. It was clean, well-kept, and had thoughtful touches like a Brita pitcher, fresh towels, sheets, and a stocked kitchen. The layout was cute and the decor was simple but perfect—more personality than a hotel room without being cluttered. One of the highlights was the bus stop literally 10 feet from the door, which made getting into southern Chicago (via bus to the Blue Line) super convenient. We also loved walking to Dunkin’ each morning once we realized how close it was. The location felt peaceful but still had a few cute restaurants nearby. We never ran into the hosts, but it felt private even with the shared entry. This stay is in our top 5 Airbnbs—perfect for a couples getaway! Thank you, Gladys, for being such a thoughtful host!

Cozy. Clean. Quiet. Charming old building. We loved the surrounding area. Lots of great places to shop and eat. Easy walk to the lake shore. Short walk to the train station. We would definitely stay here again.

Nancy’s place was the perfect location for our trip to Chicago. We used the “L” and buses to go anywhere we wanted to go. The house was very clean and we had every amenity that we could need. I would highly recommend staying here and anytime I return to Chicago I will always stay here!

My wife and another couple had a lovely long weekend in John’s apartment. It’s exactly like the photos, in a beautiful neighborhood in Chicago. Kitchen is well stocked. Bathroom worked well, beds were comfortable, and John left a list of lots of local recommendations. The brown line is nearby; note that there is a soft whir when it passes, but it didn’t bother any of us (neither the NYC nor the suburban residents). Would highly recommend!

Paul’s place is an extraordinary choice for a Chicago stay with family or friends. It exceeded all expectations in terms of location and comfort. Paul and team thought about all needs of their guests and made us feel really at home. Not any home: a brand new one with quality appliances, fine linen, and all accessories one could ask for a comfortable stay. Not to mention the great location: a few steps away from the best restaurants and bars and yet, silent and peaceful. One block to the marina and a couple to grocery stores and supermarket. I cannot recommend it enough!

Great location just 4 blocks north of Wrigley and many restaurants close by. The bathroom was clean and updated - nice shower and hot water. Beds comfortable. James was responsive and proactive with detailed info. Hope to be back!

Beautiful bnb, tasteful decor, comfortable furniture and beds. Host was very nice-dropped off parking stickers, sent a note about street cleaning to be aware of, the bnb had evrything you could need.

I truly enjoyed our stay here! So many places to select when you’re looking to book it can be overwhelming. I am so happy we picked it his spot the location was perfect! It’s a quick walk to anything you need. The place is very spacious and comfortable, I love the modern look! Carlos and his team went way above and beyond helping us feel right at home! I look forward to returning hopefully soon!

The place was in a really convenient location, the place itself is really neat. The only downside is the noise from the train. But overall, it was good for our trip!

The Airbnb was clean, exactly as described, and in a great location. Check in was easy and we were able to get settled right away. William was very proactive in communicating instructions well before our arrival. Overall, we had a lovely time visiting Chicago and would recommend staying here!

My sister and I had a great time in Chicago. The location and accommodations were perfect! A block and 1/2 from Wrigley, yes we saw a game and the Cubs win! A block and 1/2 away from the “L” and a quiet neighborhood. The inside had everything we needed to make breakfast, sleep and relax on the backside porch sipping champagne. Would give this place 6 stars if I could. Thanks Mike for being a great host.

A Designer’s Dream – Absolute Perfection! This home is truly exceptional—every detail reflects thoughtful design and top-tier quality. It’s a designer’s dream, with stunning décor, a comfortable and beautifully clean space, and every amenity you could possibly need. The furnishings and finishes are stylish and well appointed, making the entire experience feel luxurious and relaxing. But the real showstopper? The backyard! It’s like a second living room—lush, tranquil, and designed for ultimate comfort and enjoyment. We loved spending time out there and honestly didn’t want to leave. It's so much better than anything a hotel could even begin to provide! We will absolutely be back!

Beautiful, clean unit and Will was extremely responsive and helpful. Super clean, and the beds and furniture were soooooo comfortable! It looks exactly as it does in the photos and there are so many items included, in case you forgot something! A foot massager?! Amazing 🤣The location is perfect with lots to do close by and no shortage of options for places to eat. I feel extremely fortunate that I came across this one and will definitely book again in the future. Just perfect.

The time spent here was wonderful. This place has everything you need to feel at home away from home. Everything was clean and comfortable. The area was also really nice with tons of food and drinks within walking distance. The blue line is a short walk away and the busses run on the corner. I would definitely stay here again when coming back to Chicago.

This is a WONDERFUL one bedroom apartment that is both private and spacious! The owner/host has the space fabulously decorated with an eclectic mix of original contemporary artwork and antiques. Nothing is generic about the space and it has been outfitted for guests with loving care. The host, Kaye, clearly puts much trust in her guests with her charming decor and furnishings. The amount of space, the privacy and the home-y feel make it a place we'd love to return to.

Really lovely place to stay, comfortable flat in a quiet area. Couple of minutes' walk to buses and the blue line to get into the City. Ewa was very communicative and helpful, the place was clean, and I appreciated the selection of snacks and tea on arrival. Would definitely stay again if I visit Chicago.
