The villa was spotless, and everything was in perfect condition. A bit out of the way but with a car was the perfect spot; overlooking the sea and a 10 minutes drive to the nearest village and supermarkets. Really close to Kourtaliotiko gorge and waterfall. Overall was really impressed with this villa and would happily visit again!

The house commands a fantastic position high on the hill overlooking a wild boulder strewn landscape down to the sea. The small traditional village of Karemes sets the scene with some decent tavernas close by down by the sea. The traditional Crete house has character and charm with hammocks to ponder the fine splendour before you. Our one bit of feedback is there was no information booklet. This is helpful if you want to know things like days of a local fresh produce market, where the nearest doctor is, local walking routes or a breakdown of the best tavernas in the area. The owner did say to contact him should we need info however you don’t want to have to get on your phone when on holiday, and sometimes just want an information booklet handy.

I can’t say enough good things about Amalen. I found it on Air B & B and so I expected almost no interaction. Our stay was 5 star in every way. Jacob and the rest of the staff cared for us. They were so helpful. The breakfast was amazing and each day they knew we were headed out, they packed us a to go box…even on our day of departure. We had the best time and if ever in Crete would only stay with them again.

The house is in a very nice location, for those who like it a little quieter. The surrounding beaches were almost deserted in June. The house is simple but sufficiently furnished, we bought a few basics (salt, sugar, toilet paper). From the terrace you have a beautiful view of the sea. A very relaxed host, always available and friendly. We will be happy to come back.

I highly recommend the apartment of Ginter and Anet to anyone who wants to live in a renovated old Cretan house. The apartment has all the necessary amenities (even more) and from the terrace there is a beautiful view of the beaches of Ligres and Triopetra. Also the village of Kerames where the apartment is located is a typical quiet peaceful and charming place. Local Kafeino is worth recommending where in addition to coffee you can eat typical homemade Cretan food. Once again we recommend the apartment with all our hearts. Best regards Aneta and Tomek 🌞

Absolutely stunning Airbnb - the views are as pictured. Loved waking up to the sea. The rooms were cleaned and beautifully maintained by the cleaning lady. We were just two in this two bedroom so we had space to spread out but it could easily accommodate four. Loved having breakfast on the balcony with the view of the village and the ocean.

We had a wonderful stay! The room was clean, well equipped and pleasantly cool thanks to the air conditioning. We especially liked the warm atmosphere in the tavern directly below - we had breakfast there every day and also ate in the evening. The food was very tasty, plentiful and the service was extremely friendly. The beach right on site was also clean, quiet and almost deserted - ideal for relaxing. We felt completely comfortable and can highly recommend the accommodation. Thank you, Amalia!
