Aris und seine Familie haben uns vor Ort super freundlich begrüßt und uns alles im Haus gezeigt. Es gab zur Begrüßung sogar Wein, Wasser, Raki, Obst und eine Karte von der Umgebung. Das Haus ist perfekt ausgestattet, alles in der Küche, im Bad, Gewürze, genug Handtücher, gutes Internet, sogar heißes Wasser in der Aussendusche. Das Bett im hinteren Schlafzimmer war extrem bequem und alles schön dunkel und kühl. Die Badezimmer sind sauber und wir haben sogar eine Sonnencreme und After Sun gefunden. Nichts was wir vermisst haben. Das Haus liegt in einem abgelegenen Dorf auf der Hochebene von Kreta (ca. 35 min mit dem Auto hoch) - also einen Mietwagen benötigt man auf jeden Fall! Der Gastgeber war zu jeder Zeit erreichbar und hat uns sogar noch eine zweite Flasche Wein und Kirschen bringen lassen. Die Nachbarn sind lieb und es gibt Restaurants, Tankstellen und einen Supermarkt in der Nähe. Absolute Empfehlung, wir würden wieder kommen. Danke für die wundervolle Zeit! Eugen & Pauli

We can highly recommend this accommodation. It's tucked away in a very secluded spot, which makes it wonderfully peaceful. At the same time, you can reach restaurants and a mini market in just a few minutes. A car is essential! The garden is stunning. The biodiversity is incredible. There's always something new to discover. The house is quite small and simply furnished, but that was absolutely fine. Everything was clean, and that's what matters most. The long driveway leading to the house can be a bit intimidating—it just slopes down without any railing or guard. But that’s just part of the Cretan charm. Giannis was always very friendly and helpful—thank you for everything! We also got to know the neighboring family and even visited them. Such kind people. And the animals! Aphroditi the horse, a peacock, chickens, and turkeys—our daughter loved them. Overall a great experience. We were very happy and would definitely recommend it. Who knows—maybe we’ll be back in a few years!

My stay at the beach house in Pachia Ammos felt like stepping into a quiet dream. The house was just as shown in the pictures — and somehow even more beautiful, embraced by the serene rhythm of the sea and the gentle charm of a peaceful neighborhood. Each morning, I woke to the whisper of waves and a view so breathtaking it felt like time stood still. The warmth of the locals made the experience even richer, and our host Marilou was the soul of it all — gracious, generous, and sincerely kind. I left a part of my heart by the shore, and I know I’ll return someday

Snorkelling paradise! Nikos and the Stone House were both great. The house is small, but has everything you need, with the pool and BBQ area where we spent most of our time, and the steps down to the sea lead to a perfect spot for snorkelling, where we saw all sorts of types of sea life. Nikos was there with everything we needed, including recommendations of beaches / restaurants etc. Ierepetra is a much nicer town than people say and the Stone House is a 5 minute drive into town. You could walk, but we didn't. Would highly recommend!

We were met by Harry who showed us around and he was super responsive. Absolutely loved the house, even better than described, and the pool was so welcome after a day out. We particularly liked the sound of the goats on the hillsides too. The beaches at Xerocampos were wonderful and we really enjoyed Liviko View and Kostas tavernas (also in Xerocampos).

As a couple staying here, we can recommend for a quiet and relaxing stay. Everything is as advertised: simple but clean. The terrace offers privacy and is surrounded by olive trees. Restaurants are on walking distance, as is the beach (20 min) if you can cope with the steep hill. As almost everywhere in Crete, a car comes in handy for any other trips.

Sehr ruhig gelegene Unterkunft mit wahnsinnig toller Aussicht. Wir haben die Zeit dort sehr genossen. Das Haus ist super ausgestattet und hat alles was das Herz begehrt. In den umliegenden Ortschaften sind sehr schöne Strände, welche kaum besucht waren sowie kleine Tavernen mit super leckerem und günstigem Essen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Nous sommes venus en famille pour quelques jours et nous avons été accueillis par la maman de Lefteris. L’accueil a été plus que agréable cette femme, respire la joie de vivre outre le AIRBNB on voit qu’elle fait ça car elle aime les gens. Nous avons pu discuter à plusieurs reprises avec Lefteris qui a toujours été hyper réactif, tout comme sa maman sur place. Nous avons adoré notre séjour et si nous repassons dans le coin, on hésitera pas à revenir. Encore merci pour tout et pour les prochains voyageurs. Profitez bien et réservez sans crainte.

Maria is an excellent host and we had a lovely few days in Plaka. The apartment was immaculate with a beautiful view of the sea and Spinalonga. We very much appreciated all the delicious treats and wine left for us - a lovely touch! It is a 10 to 15 minute walk down the hill to the lovely pebble beach and pretty town of Plaka. We highly recommend a stay here.

Le gîte est une authentique maison restaurée et décorée avec amour. Fanis et Niki nous ont accueillis chaleureusement : panier garni, conseils, appel d'un restaurant pour vérifier son ouverture effective (souvent internet dit que c'est ouvert et en réalité c'est fermé), invitation, etc. Nous avons passé un séjour exceptionnel et garderons le contact !

Alles sehr gepflegt - die Lage fussläufig zum Stand ist unschlagbar. Freundlicher Empfang der Gastgeberin, sehr zu empfehlen!

Our three day stay in Alexandros' place was amazing. First of all, everything is as described in the page and even has more! Alexandros and Sofia left us a lovely note and welcome drinks, fruit and snacks! Comfortable beds, modern renovation, close free parking and very close to the centre of the lovely village of Kritsa, a great base to explore the surrounding area for those who want a smaller place to do so. We were lucky enough to be in Alexandros' place during Easter, and could experience fully the festive atmosphere of Kritsa, with processions, bonfires and celebrations, and Alexandros was so kind as to invite us to an Easter barbecue, which was a great experience for which we will be forever thankful. Highly recommend for those who want a quiet, beautiful yet central base to explore the Agios Nikolaos area.

This was our favourite stay of the trip. The place is idyllic, with a private swimming area only a few steps away. The house is decorated tastefully and gives a really nice indoor-outdoor feeling with the large patio and sliding doors. The kitchen is extremely well-stocked with everything you might need to cook, including well-sharpened knives! Manolis brought us some fresh vegetables from the farm, which were delicious. Everything about the place is thoughtful and we loved our stay there. It is ideal for a trip where you want to spend a lot of time relaxing at the house and hanging out, it is so nice we barely wanted to leave!

What a find this place was. Beautifully restored traditional house in an amazingly beautiful village in the hills above the Pefki Gorge. The house is well provisioned and very tastefully decorated. Great ventilation and insect screens on the windows. We were there for a week and the temps were very hot, but we didn't need to use the AC at all. Wonderful local taverna - we went three times. Don't miss the Sunday night music and traditional dancing. Fanis the owner is very friendly and absolutely hilarious. A great local kafeneio - don't ask for a menu, just ask what's for lunch. Great views to the Libyan Sea - it is just 10 minutes down to Makry Gialo. Search around and you will find quiet beaches without rows of sunbeds if that's not your thing. A great base to explore East Crete, there are awesome mountain roads with cute villages and amazing views. Elina gave us great recommendations for restaurants and was very helpful. We loved this place. Would give it 6 stars if I could.

Der Aufenthalt im Haus von Maria und ihrem wundervollen Ehemann war einfach überwältigend. Der Ort Charaso ist ein wunderschönes Dörfchen in den Bergen und unglaublich für Erholung. Das Ehepaar begrüßte uns genauso herzlich wie die Einwohner Kretas einfach sind. Wir haben uns in das lokale Gebäck verliebt das uns bereitgestellt wurde und die Empfehlung für das Restaurant Gia mas war wirklich Gold wert. Nirgends auf der Insel haben wir so liebevolles Mezze für so wenig Geld bekommen. Auch die Nachbarn waren so unfassbar Gastfreundlich. Ganz besondere Grüße gehen an Eleftheria (ich hoffe das schreibt man so), wir vermissen dich sehr. Außerdem hoffen wir, dass jeder Besucher etwas Katzenfutter mitnimmt. Abschließend können wir nur sagen: nirgendwo hätten wir den echten kretischen Lebenstyle besser erleben können als in unserm gemütlichen Haus in dem tollen Dörfchen Charaso. Wir haben uns einfach verliebt.

Wonderful location. Lively apartment. Only warning is - be prepared for lots of stairs! This is essentially a 4 floor apartment, with bathroom at the entrance floor and bedrooms on the 3rd. Equipment is top notch and the view is fantastic. Would highly recommend

Wir waren 14 Tage in dem alten Dorf Sykologos und haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Es fehlte uns an nichts, die Einrichtung ist geschmackvoll und hochwertig. Kurz nach unserem Eintreffen , wurden wir von Andreas freundlich mit frischen Brot und Gebäck begrüßt. Er hat uns durch sein Haus geführt und uns alles gezeigt und erklärt. Im Kühlschrank standen leckere,lokale Köstlichkeiten. So was hatten wir noch nie! Wir kommunizierten während unseres Aufenthalts immer mal wieder mit Andreas . Er ist sehr aufmerksam und bemüht das es seinen Gästen an nichts fehlt. Man muss sich bewusst sein, dass man immer ein Auto braucht, um an die schönen Stränden und zu den Tavernen zu gelangen. Aber es lohnt sich! Wer die Ruhe ,die Einsamkeit und das noch echte Griechenland mit seinen Menschen und Gewohnheiten schätzt, ist hier genau richtig! Wir kommen wieder!

Die Wohnung liegt sehr Zentral im Ort , zu Fuß ist man in weniger als 10 min am wunderschönen , etwas vollem Sandstrand; oder am wunderschönen naturbelassenen Strand mit Stein -Sand -Bäumen und Palmen; Chris ist ein super guter Host, immer da wenn man ihn braucht und trotzdem hatte man seine Privatsfähre. Gerne wieder

Super Unterkunft welche ich unbedingt empfehle. Wir haben uns wie zuhause gefühlt. Den Strand hatten wir sozusagen für uns. Eftychia war immer gut erreichbar, mega hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Als Willkommensgeschenk hat sie uns frisches Gemüse, Früchte und Wein bereitgestellt. Alles war perfekt.

Enjoyed my stay at Petros residence. Very private and peaceful location. The scenery is beautiful. I was working majority of the time while here but the WiFi was great, had peace and quiet, enjoyed amazing hikes in the Istro area and beach every morning. The room is clean, way more spacious than the pics even seem, had amenities that you need and overall comfortable. Close to some restaurants and markets. Definitely recommend.

We loved our stay! The apartment is located just on top of the Taverna and about 15 meters from the beach. Within 5 minutes walk there is also a yoga location offering amazing drop in classes. From the moment we drove into the town we were warmly greeted by the lambros family. We spent the next 5 days at the beach and taverna relaxing. It was a great experience and we truly felt part of the local community for the short period we stayed. I highly recommend it if you want to relax and do less rather than more! The apartment is spacious and provides all you need for your stay, including a washing machine. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of space to chill.

Wir waren zu zweit für insgesamt fünf Nächte vor Ort. Die Unterkunft ist traumhaft und liegt direkt in einer schönen Bucht mit einem schönen Strand. Für zwei Personen ist die Unterkunft vom Platz her völlig ausreichend und gut ausgestattet. Am Strand befindet sich ein Restaurant mit leckerem griechischen Essen zu fairen Preisen. Die Bucht eignet sich super zum schnorcheln und zum schwimmen, da das Meer die meiste Zeit sehr ruhig ist. Möchte man mehr erleben, als den Tag am Meer zu verbringen, so ist man definitiv auf ein Auto angewiesen, was für Kreta aber normal ist. Christina als Host war sehr herzhaft, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Hatte man Fragen, so wurden diese umgehend via Textnachricht beantwortet. Ich kann die Unterkunft und Christina als Host nur jedem empfehlen.

The place was great just a few metres from the beach and within walking distance from everything. It was clean, tidy and well furnished and equipped. The only drawback of this location is that it is not always easy to find parking nearby. This is not an issue for couples but for a family with 2-3 little ones it might mean a great deal of carrying from and to the car.
