Raven Cottage

JoanneRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Raven cottage was wonderfully quirky, full of character with slightly rustic charm. The bed was very comfy and after a day walking along the beautiful beaches and headlands I slept really well. The kitchen was appreciated with everything you could need.

Handa pod in scottish highlands.

IanRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This pod was an amazing find and one of surprisingly few options available in this area. Everything was as expected from the photos/description and overall very well equipped. A radiator plus a separate AC unit will keep the pod comfortable no matter the season. Enough appliances for basic cooking if required too (though if you're only staying a couple of night, no real need to). We stayed with our toddler (brought our own travel cot) and there was just about enough space to make it work. Our advice would be try to avoid staying in this area on a weekend as a lot of stuff locally is closed e.g. the Handa Island Ferry and Crofters Kitchen restaurant are both closed on Sunday plus the Shorehouse kitchen is closed Saturday and Sunday. The Campsite in Scourie is the closest amenities including a shop that sells freshly baked pizza and a bar. Lots of amazing walks, beaches and views close by. Overall, would recommend for anyone coming to the area.

Lodge with private hot tub.

JessicaRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
We thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay at Ishbel and Angus's place. The lodge was very comfortable, clean and bigger than it looks in the photos. The hot tub was a welcome respite in the evenings after our hill walking adventures, and you never tire of the views, they are outstanding. We mainly did hill walking and scrambling in the area. We booked a two day scrambling course with a local guide which was fantastic. We walked/ran to and from Scoraig, and we enjoyed a two hour boat trip around the summer isles from Ullapool. We definitely recommend the Sea Shack in Ullapool for fresh seafood! The area is remote, peaceful and quiet, a perfect getaway from it all. You can truly switch off here and enjoy the natural world.

The Gate Lodge

KaiRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Great new addition to AirBnB! Everything as described and better. Perfectly and very welcoming prepared for our arrival. Bathroom is brand new. Everything has been spotless clean. Overall very cosy. Easy communication with a very friendly host. Potential proximity to NC 500 wasn‘t a factor at all, it was so quiet. Would love to stay here again!

A lovely place to stay either foe a few nights touring the NC500 or longer to explore more. Its comfortable, warm, spotless and well equipped. Jacqui was very responsive and the instructions for check in and check out very clear. We stayed around the area walking and beach hopping. Enjoyed Stoer Lighthouse and the walk to the Old Man plus Clashnessie waterfall and beach. Would love to visit again
