Vicky is a wonderful host, was always responsive to messages and didn’t hesitate to go the extra mile for me when I had special requests for our stay. The location is amazing with a railway station right at the back of the lodge. Inside the lodge itself was beautiful and very clean and the highlight for me and my fiancée was the hot tub. We absolutely loved our stay there and had the absolute best time and cannot wait to return there in the future.

Our stay was quite pleasant. The surroundings are peaceful and beautiful and the lodge is amazing. Our hosts respected our privacy but made us comfortable they would be ready to help fix any potential issues. Highly recommended!

Staying at Emma's lodge was an absolute delight! We were looking for a remote getaway with a hot tub, and this ticked the boxes perfectly. The peaceful, relaxing atmosphere made it the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Nestled on a charming farm, the lodge offered stunning views and a real sense of calm. One of the unexpected highlights? The friendly cows who wandered over to say hello around 11pm, it was such a sweet and memorable moment! Emma was a wonderful host, and everything about the stay felt warm and welcoming. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind in a tranquil, rural setting.

We’ve just returned from Lapwing Lodge. Beautiful location, very peaceful and the facilities were everything we needed. The photos don’t do it justice. The cabin was spotless and the hottub was a great bonus. Arrived to a very easy check in and we were even given until midday to leave on the departure date. Would definitely be interested in returning in the future.

Anne was lovely, great facilities, hot tub was amazing. 10/10 would definitely go back. Area was quiet. Lidl 3 minute drive away which came in handy and only 25 minutes away from Sheffield city centre

This is the second time going to Duncan’s cabin, the first was a while ago but just like then not disappointed! Gorgeous little get away and the place is well stocked with anything you could need. Definitely be returning for a third time, definitely recommend. Thank you Duncan!

What a beautiful lodge, set in a beautiful place! The site was absolutely lovely. Everything you needed the lodge had. The instructions booklet was very helpful as we had 3 children with us and a dog so looking for activities to suit us all. Overall a lovely stay, we will most definitely be returning maybe just the grown ups this time lol for abit more of a relax xx

Arrived as strangers and left feeling apart of the family! Genuinely, if you could chose who owned the property you was going to stay at, you’d chose Amanda and Gerry EVERYTIME, beautiful, caring, attentive, human beings, they simply can’t do enough for you! Their property is a country bolt hole, in the middle of paradise IMO, if your thing is scenic, picturesque, rolling hills, accompanied by a background chorus of wildlife, look no further! This place has everything you need and more, for winding down and relaxing. We had our little dogs with us, and they had a great time exploring and running free, in a safe space, carefully monitored by Snowball the cat, who wasn’t a bit put out, as she spent one of the 5 nights with us, while it was lashing down. Great location and accommodation

Absolutely lovely. A real hideaway, peaceful and restful. Ruth has thought of everything to make the stay comfortable, in fact the best sleep I’ve had in ages. Highly recommend.

We headed to York for a family reunion We were delighted when we entered the property it was so clean and comfortable We had a walk round the lake which was beautiful It was even better when we found out that it was only a ten minute drive to my cousins home where the venue was being held We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it

We had a lovely little stay here. Perfect with two children and a great location to explore everything we wanted to explore in York and surrounding areas. Charlie checked in a few times to see if we had everything we needed, which was very kind. The caravan was lovely and clean and had everything in you could need for a few days away.

We had such a lovely stay! Location was great for short and long walks and we were able to make the most of the spa access on rainy days which made our stay extra special. Ashley kept us updated on things we needed and left us a few treats which was very kind. Thank you - the 4 of us had a great long weekend and would definitely consider staying again 😊

We had a wonderful weekend at Julia’s place. A lodge annexed to the farmhouse but with own space and privacy. A beautiful vista welcomed us each morning. The lodge had everything required and more. A lovely welcome basket was a nice touch. We shall return. Thank you again .

Just home from a wonderful stay! Clear Instructions, beautiful decor, spotless.. The village is lovely and Martin the host was very responsive throughout with any information l may have needed prior to the stay.. Lots of added extras which was a lovely touch.. This is a unique and wonderful place to stay. Nigel’s artistry and craftsmanship show in every detail of The Carriage which he has lovingly restored to its former glory (but with all mod cons). Nigel was also a great host. The Carriage was a highlight of our trip.

The Chalet proved to be a lovely home from home for our 10-night stay. Dan and Jemma are super-friendly and helpful hosts. And the interior design is lovely. We particularly loved the polygraph / bar, record player, amp and record collections - and Jemma’s delicious homemade sourdough loaf! This was a perfect location from which to explore the many delights that Holmfirth has to offer. And yet it’s peaceful enough to enjoy listening to the birdsong / the rain (though there was only a little!). Thanks Dan and Jemma for a lovely stay!

Can’t recommend this place enough: clean, cosy, stylish and has amazing views. Enjoyed lighting the pizza oven and log burner at night and exploring the area. Great hosts and a brilliant spot to stay, will definitely go back!!
