Beachfront holiday rental in Lerwick

loved this little hotel plus the staff and food were lovely!

The people and locals were so nice and welcoming. We had a great time!

Nice to see the hotel back open with a friendly welcome and nothing to much trouble. Was made to feel at home, restaurant and bar were open and although an issue with the fryer it did not stop very tasteful meals which were well presented and reasonably priced. Continental breakfast was available with a good selection and cooked breakfast on request. Thought had been put into the accommodation, the hotel had recently been decorated, bed was extremely comfortable and the room was clean with refreshments available.

Shetland is a beautiful place to visit and I suspect Sea Winds is the best place to stay if you do. The house is in the perfect spot, unbelievable views across Bain’s Beach and you can hear the sound of the sea and yet it is only a 5 minute walk to the centre of Lerwick. The photos really don’t do the house or views justice. The house is beautifully decorated with fabulous local art and there is everything you need (including all the dull stuff like a great shower, dishwasher, washing machine, etc). This is the best Airbnb I have ever stayed in and I have stayed in quite a few. And Ruth is the perfect host - she makes you feel incredibly welcome and is super quick to respond to any questions as well as offer brilliant tips on things to see and do. If you are planning a visit to Shetland you are really going to have a wonderful time if you are lucky enough to book Sea Winds. Thank you Ruth - we will be back!

Great apartment in a central location in Lerwick - walking distance to shops and restaurants. Warm, well appointed and very clean, this was the perfect accommodation to base our travels around Shetland and its surrounding islands. Thanks heaps 😀!!

our 2nd time staying here, everything you could need is provided, it's a quirky wee place in the ideal location as a starting off point for exploring everything Shetland has to offer. we hope to return again next year.

What can I say… everything about the Shepard’s hut was ideal, the location is superb! Very comfy and cosy bed. Everything was lovely and clean ready to use. Shower is fantastic. We enjoyed being able to use the gym. Everything you need for making a meal. Walking distance to many beautiful sights. Ideal location for exploring. Very friendly co host Rachael who is very welcoming. 10/10 stay. Thank you

A very spacious, discrete, comfortable and well equipped home, optimally placed to explore the full extent of the islands. The nearby CoOp and garage in Brae have all the supplies you need. Fresh mussels and scallops available daily from the shellfish farm across the bay. Amazing wildlife, including otters on the lawn. Nikita is a super host, very supportive with good ideas, such as where to spot Orcas. The nearby Brae hotel does good dinners. Thoroughly recommend staying as long as you can to enjoy a special place, people and wildlife in the British Isles. Thanks Nikita!

We were very comfortable and everything we needed was provided. Heating and hot water were excellent and the bedding,towels and furnishings were of the highest quality. Jacqueline was always on hand and always friendly and approachable. The house had a lovely welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Valerie's 2 bed apartment is located in the most scenic part of Lerwick. Bain's Beach is opposite and you could spend all day looking out of the panoramic window watching the world go by. It appears to have been recently refurbed as everything was like new. She has made sure everything you might need is there. It of course is in an iconic location if you are a fan of the TV show Shetland but that aside it is effectively in the middle of Lerwick. Shops and restaurants are a stones throw away. We will come back to Shetland - we had a wonderful trip - and would only want to stay at this location again

Jolene's place was as described, it is down town and right on / over the water , it is only 3 minute walk to great restaurants and a general store , the house is clean and very roomy with 5 bedrooms you can sit and watch the tugs , cruise boats and fishing boats coming and going, Jolene was very responsive thru Airbnb and email we will definitely be going back for a longer trip next time.
