Our family had a wonderful stay at this cottage. It was clean, it had a well-stocked kitchen and comfortable rooms to sleep. The check-in process was easy and everything was easy to find in the home. Our kids loved the ping pong table. The hot tub was especially lovely as the weather was a bit cooler than we had hoped for! Again, a lovely visit and we would highly recommend. This is an excellently kept AirBnB and a really kind and thoughtful host. We had forgotten some belongings behind and were quickly notified and he offered to ship them back to us, making our life so much easier and solving a problem that could have been a headache! We will be back in the future!

Our 4 party group had an amazing getaway at this charming cottage. The space was super cosy, with a central open space and large windows that offered direct views of the lake— so wonderful to wake up to. We also enjoyed the book collection and interesting art. Just a quick tip for future guests: if you're visiting in winter, make sure you have a 4WD vehicle—the last slope can be quite steep. Despite the host living on the first level, it felt super intimate. We were grateful for his quick responses and consideration of our requirements throughout our stay. All in all, we had an incredible time at this chalet and would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat! Thanks Karl

We had an amazing time at Pete’s. The location was perfect, we had our own private beach. The kids enjoyed the provided kayaks and water toys. Our dogs lived in the water for 7 days. The house is much bigger than it appears in photos, and has ample room for a large family or group.

We had such an amazing time. Never a moment of "what to do next". The house was very clean and well equipped. Really all you need is a toothbrush, and you're good to go. 😆 Our nights of sitting around the campfire, playing pool, board games, and paddle boarding will forever be a memorable vacation. The amount of board games is incredible! Though to me the paddle board was everything. Laying on that board out in the middle of the water in complete silence..there's nothing like it. Such a peaceful spot. Highly recommend, and will absolutely be visiting again. Also, downtown being close, was key. Our first day was spent walking throughout the city enjoying all of the amazing architecture, Museums and visiting the ByWard Market. The amount of food and shopping is fantastic. Another must see is the Diefenbunker. We spent 3 hours touring the 4 underground levels. You have opened our eyes on just how beautiful Ottawa is, and we look forward to our next journey there. Some places are just houses. Others hold space and pause. From the first moment we walked in, "The River Retreat" welcomed us like a warm hug. My siblings and I came here to honour the one-year anniversary of our mother’s passing, and it ended up being exactly what we needed. Peaceful, cozy, and full of thoughtful touches. Every room, view, and amenity gave us a chance to breathe, reflect, and spend quality family time together. We tried all the amenities, including the hot tub, canoe, kayaks, fire pit, and pool table. But our favourite pass time and location was definitely the home cooked meals around the round table overlooking the river. We left feeling full in every sense. Thank you Marlene and Morgan for being such fantastic hosts! We’ll absolutely be back.

We had a really nice stay at Nadia and John's cottage. The deck was fantastic, and the cottage was really clean and comfortable. The week went by too quickly.

Beautiful place to relax. we did not go on the water but did use the hot tub. House main floor has an open concept which is nice for kids.

An amazing stay! This place was perfect for a weekend getaway, not far from Ottawa, the lake was amazing! The only thing that was a shame is that there were only two kayaks, but the neighbour was SO kind as to let us a few more, (and maybe the smell of water, but to be expected..!)! Overall, it was very relaxing time, the home is beautiful and the hosts were very kind!

It is a beautiful place and just like the pictures wonderful owners and were very open to our special needs. Open communications and they check in to see if there is anything else you need or if something is missing. Great location and private. We have referred this location to other members of our family and will look and see if it is available the next time we come this way

We were very pleased with our stay! The cottage was exactly what we had hoped for — cozy, well-equipped, and comfortable. Although the weather wasn’t ideal on our first day, we made the most of it and still had a wonderful time. The views were absolutely spectacular. Everything worked perfectly, and Ashley’s clear instructions made the entire experience seamless. We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Ashley’s cottage!

My family had the pleasure of staying here for the first week in June 2025. We had a fabulous week enjoying this fabulous cottage and its surroundings. The inside offered us all the comfort and things we needed, including an awesome hot tub "tub" complete with rolled towels, clothes pegs and plastic glasses! Everything was exceptionally clean and there were lots of great books and games to keep us entertained as we lazed around the beautiful property. The kayaks and paddle boards were so much fun as we explored both directions on the river. Honestly the property was SO nice we hardly wanted to leave it but we did manage to get out a few days to visit Ottawa and the cute towns of Perth & Almonte. Two fabulous restaurants we visited and recommend is Joe's Italian Kitchen (In Almonte) and Michael's Table in Perth. It was so nice to be able to bring our dog Russ who had the BEST time all week enjoying the water, boats and watching the wild life from his little fur rug in sunny bay window.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this sweet rustic cabin to catch up with an old friend, and it was an experience to remember. Nestled near the maskinongé river, the cabin offered the perfect blend of tranquility and charm with its warmly lit outdoor seating area and hot tub, which was undoubtedly a highlight of our stay. Soaking in the warm water while gazing at the stars made for a nice appreciation of the present moment. The cabin itself was cozy and well-equipped, featuring a teleprompter. Going through old DVDs and using the screen was a blast. The many vintage architecture magazines scattered around the cabin also made for interesting reads, and really added to the warm feel of the place. Overall, this cabin is a gem for anyone looking to unwind and disconnect to enjoy nature's beauty. Highly recommended!

This was my second year staying at Guy's, you can be sure I'll keep on making that 3.5 hour drive from Montreal every year. We found out that there's trout lakes in the area that are stocked yearly. I've yet to try their charted fishing service, but it's on my things to do list. Guy is quick to respond to any of our question, you will be in safe hands on your stay. I'll probably try and book a second trip up before the summer is over, hoping the schedule isn't all booked up.

We stayed at La Belle Denis cabin and it was literally as presented in the picture. The cabin is warm in winter with hot water ! Perfect for a weekend gateway. We love the quietness in winter and the trail on the property. We hope to comeback in Summer to check out the lake! Shu

We had a very fun and peaceful stay at Stephanie’s place. Stephanie was a great and always responsive host. The cottage was very spacious and had all the listed amenities, meaning it was exactly as advertised and exactly what we were looking for.

We loved it! The cottage is located in a private area on the lake, well-decorated, and has 4 levels making it very spacious. The hottub and sauna were awesome - perfect for our winter stay. We liked the couch in the downstairs living room as it was big and comfortable, and we appreciated the Roku for easy streaming. We had no issues driving to the cottage even after heavy snowfall - the private road and driveway were cleared. Walkways, stairs and decks were also cleared. Plenty of room outside for walks with a dog and other activities. We would highly recommend Siobhan’s cottage!

What a gem! Beautiful space, quiet and serene. The hosts made the space special, warm and inviting. Definitely worth the trip!
