Holiday houses in Les Salles-de-Castillon

Our holiday was everything we could of hoped for and more. We arrived to a delicious welcome basket and Jon made us feel immediately at home. His house is absolutely stunning, with ample space to chill and relax. The kitchen is like home from home, it is fully equipped including coffee machines, juicer and even a waffle machine! The private pool was a massive highlight which our two young girls loved. They loved exploring the garden, playing badminton and they learning to play boules too. Close by there was an incredible bakery, supermarkets and restaurants. The beach at the Lac du Garson was another winner, not forgetting the markets too. We ended the trip on such a high, hiring Jons boat to travel up the Dordoyne which was truly a memorable experience! Jon is an exceptional host. He did everything to make our holiday perfect. From all his recommendations to being on hand if we needed him. Total legend! We cannot wait to come back next summer.

Beautifull house had all the things we needed clean and comfortable, nice pool and beautifull yard

Stunning location, great view of Saint Emilion spire, and that of 3 other towns. Peaceful, within a few kilometers of vineries and restaurants. We loved it, and definitely would stay again. The key box is on a tree! Not easy to locate but once you know it is simple. Location is surrounded by vineyards. The stove is induction stove top which could use instructions. Linens very nice. Beds very comfortable. Excellent choice.

We've just spent a lovely two weeks at Emmanuelle's place. Emanuelle was very responsive and helpful when recommending restaurants and places to visit. The house is well equipped and a travel cot and high chair were provided for our daughter. The pool area is sunny with enough areas of shade. Emmanuelle was kind enough to give our daughter a donkey ride and let her see the other animals too. As others have said, the WiFi is very temperamental but it wasn't a problem for us, in fact, a nice break from reality! Emmanuelle and her husband gave us some fresh home grown tomatoes and plums which was a nice gesture. Overall, Emmanuelle was very welcoming and helpful and we really enjoyed our time here. A big thank you to Benoît for his welcome and sympathy. We had a wonderful weekend with the family in Saint-Émilion in this beautiful house! Everything was there for a perfect moment: a peaceful setting, a very comfortable house and above all… a superb heated pool that made everyone happy, especially the children! The welcome was warm, the premises very well maintained, the house has as much charm as the vineyards that surround it. We leave with very beautiful memories, we will try to come longer next time. This place exceeded my expectations! The room was super clean and very stylishly decorated. The property was big and surrounded by vineyards, and the garden was so beautiful. Our host, Patricia was the best! She was so friendly and attentive. She made us feel special and made me the best cannole for breakfast!

My family & I have just spent a perfect week at La Closerie and we all wholeheartedly echo all that was written in the very first review (March 25). There is, quite simply, nothing negative to say. Marilyne & Jeremy were the perfect hosts who could not have made us feel more welcome. Marilyne told us that their dream was to create a space where several generations of the same family could gather and create beautiful memories and, my goodness, they have achieved their dream! We truly could not have enjoyed our stay more. Blessed with beautiful weather, we spent the majority of the week enjoying time in the garden, be it by the pool, long lunches and evening meals around the table, or just marvelling at the rolling hills that surround the property. Marilyne and Jeremy write about La Closerie being a haven of peace; a refuge where one will find rest and relaxation and this is absolutely the case. Each member of my family sincerely hopes to return one day… A very special stay indeed…

Beautiful setting amid vines. Large house well equipped and well heated, appreciable in winter. The two very close studios are spacious and very comfortable. The same goes for bedrooms that are mostly equipped with a shower room. We were there as a family to celebrate Christmas and everyone was very happy with this stay. There was even a decorated tree when we arrived. In short, experience to renew. A special mention for the person who welcomed us with warmth and kindness.
