The Garden Room is bright and spacious with lovely views to the south across the Lewes Brooks. There is a well equipped kitchen area, and you have your own front door. Coffee, tea, milk and some breakfast provisions will be waiting for you for your first morning. We are close to Lewes but with open fields nearby. It is a ten minute walk to a pub, for local beer and food. There is space nearby for a small car to park; larger vehicles can park about 20m from our driveway, on the Kingston Road.

The Garden Room

The annex is a detached building with a key safe and separate entrance situated in a very quiet part of the historic county town of Lewes. There is very little passing traffic and as we’re on the outskirts it’s about a 20 mins walk to the centre of the town but are very close to the South Downs, a 5 minute walk away and the gateway to the South Down way and the National Park. (Smoking only allowed outside) Close to Brighton and good access to public transport and a main line to London.

Kenningham

This is a detached converted garage with a bedroom and a shower room in a lovely part of town. It is 10 minutes walk from the centre of Lewes, 15 minutes walk from the train station, and 10 minutes walk from the South Downs. There is a private entrance around the side of the main house, with a key safe box by the door. It is not appropriate for people with mobility issues however, as there is a step at the entrance. Guests can use the offstreet parking in front of the house.

Alistair’s place was very clean and tidy with a comfortable bed. The little extras made the stay really comfortable; tea, coffee, fruit, yoghurt and milk. He was super communicative and made for a very easy stay. The location is very central and close to the train station.

Felt right at home. Had a great welcome. Great location. Everything was very close and in walking distance, yet in a quiet and peaceful side of town where one can regroup comfortably. I attribute most of my first experience of England being amazing to finding such a comfortable place with lots of support from the hostess. Beautiful town with so much history (including a local castle) and respectful people. Convenient transportation to get to Brighton, Gatwick and London. Highly recommend for first time travelers to see the England away from the main cities' hussle and bussle, but also close enough to drop in to the cities. Nice to be able to cook homemade meals in the nice kitchen. Lots of privacy. Nice and warm cabin feel and the heating was great too! Tessa is very attentive. She made sure I was taken care of, especially when my flight changed airports. Can't recommend enough. If you're staying in Lewes, stay with Tessa. Worth it and great price!

We had a lovely stay at Hannah's home. It is beautifully set up and very comfortable. We loved the location, as it was easy to get to all the key spots in Lewes. There were really useful maps that helped us really explore and make the most of the local history and the South Downs. Would highly recommend.
