Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Lilongwe

The house was clean and tidy, not cluttered or unnecessary bits about. Chizaso send a pin of the home and lt was easy to find the house using this. The beds were well made and good size in all the rooms, plenty of storage space. the kitchen was also clean and tidy with a nice smell. Although I didn't use the outside space much ( including the veranda) it was very big and suitable for kids and little ones as it's in a gated area. The water was always hot and chizaso made sure there was hot water in time for our arrival which was lovely after a long trip. The house is located close to local enemities both by foot and by car. Mrs Jean who gave us the keys was lovely and was available in person also for anything we needed. The living room especially stood out, the deco wa simple and nice and made the place feel very very homely. I would definitely recommend for a long or short stay in lilongwe.

The place is amazing! We really enjoyed our stay. The house is beautiful, offers a lot of space as well as things to do and is clean. We particularly enjoyed the kitchen, after having open fire kitchens for the most of the time in Malawi. Daniele and Angela are great hosts, easy communication and they are there for you when you need them. We can absolutely recommend this place!

Happy to stay with Nicola and her family again on a work trip to Lilongwe. Just as comfortable, convenient, and welcoming as the previous two times I have stayed there.

A perfect home away from home! With a lovely pool and great garden and hot water and a huge generator to sort out the regular powercuts.

Sera was a superb host with a dedicated staff to make our stay feel comfortable. She quickly dealt with any of our concerns and made us very welcome. The guest house felt like home after just a few days and we settled in rather quickly, the beautiful compound was just the respite we needed from the busy city.

What a great place this is! A home away from home, with both management and staff very friendly and approachable. They were always there for us and attended to our needs instantly, be it socket adapters or anything small - or something we struggled to get working. On some occasion when the management noticed us getting uncomfortable with anything out of working hours, they were there for us to explain it and got it sorted at the earliest of the next morning. Great hosts, good location, beautiful compound and very executive and clean with top class security, we did not have to worry about anything. One of those places where great quality service is more they provide and not just there to make money. Highly recommended and will definitely return next time.

Lovely new building. Furnishings are lovely. Some finer details need to be worked on, but overall a very nice unit. I believe this is a newer area and therefore the distance, lack of presence of other community members, and unstable wifi left my family in the need for a different rental. The owner, and what seemed to be the management team, went above and beyond to accommodate our many very last minute requests.

My stay at Becca’s place was lovely. The home was decorated nicely, very clean, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Becca was a wonderful host, and her property manager, Yusuf, was so kind and helpful throughout my visit. He made sure I had everything I needed and went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. The location was quiet but close to everything. I would recommend staying here.

This is a great option, especially for those who are in Lilongwe for extended work, as I was. The apartment is big and comfortable in a really leafy and green section of Lilongwe, about a 45 minutes walk from the Central Business District. There are great restaurants about 20 minutes walk from the apartment. The apartment is in a small compound where the owner lives--their support was excellent, though it being Lilongwe expect some periodic power outages. The house is in a huge garden. Overall, I would stay here again and highly recommend the house.

After 5 weeks of travelling in East Africa we wanted to upgrade from the very basic places we'd been staying. Mohammad's place was just what we needed before our long trip back to Canada. I have stayed in dozens of Airbnb's, ran my own in Canada for 7 years and cannot say enough about this place. If any of you have travelled in East Africa before, you can probably relate to the usual problems at most of the accommodations. In my 17 trips to EA & even in comparison to Airbnb's here, this place was one of my favourites. It was tastefully decorated, spotless, had a great design, beautiful, peaceful surroundings and supplied everything you might need and more. My favourite part of the stay was meeting and getting to know Mohammad and his family. Truly, outstanding people who were hard to say goodbye to. We walked into town for groceries, walked to the local market and enjoyed some great food in the area. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone travelling to Malawi!!

I have nothing but praise for Michael and the accommodation at Wines & Wings. Even though the accommodation is adjacent to their wine shop and tour guide agency, I always felt very comfortable and totally undisturbed by the activities. The room is an open plan with a fully fitted kitchen and a living room area (with TV) and was always kept cleaned. Same for the bathroom. The room opened out to a generous terrace overlooking a tranquil garden. Michael was out of town, but very responsive. Nevertheless the staff at Wines & Wings were super, very well organized and extremely friendly. I highly recommend Wine & Wings and will certainly stay there again next time I pass through Lilongwe.

Modern apartments in a calm oasis with everything you need. Lovely pool area. Everything was super easy, Roland and Clara are really welcoming and kind hosts.

Our stay was lovely! Perfect for a big number of guests, and the staff there was so helpful! We had everything we needed, and some! The location was in new 43, so there is a short dirt road to take, but most of the way is paved. Would definitely stay here again!

The pool area is beautiful, and the space is comfortable and decorated in a really stylish fashion. Jam was really responsive for anything we needed. We enjoyed our stay!
