Welcome to Waanrode in the quiet countryside. Beautiful views of horse meadows, fields and forests, located at the end of a dead end street. You will find us along hiking junction 304 and between cycling junctions 39 and 40. Warm bakery at 400 m. Butcher and supermarket at 1.5 km.

Hooistek is a cozy and fairly modern holiday home behind a rural, detached house, easily accessible from the Geel Oost exit of the E313. Hooistek has its own entrance, has free Wifi. The holiday accommodation includes a private sauna that needs to be booked separately. Breakfast can be enjoyed at a small extra charge. Gerhaegen Nature Reserve is within walking distance; Prince-loving De Merode is nearby, as is Averbode and Diest. Numerous cycling route networks cross the region.

Spoorweghut 'Miners' Accommodation'

Next to Racour station is the cabin of the piochers or railway workers. In the past, railway workers used this‘ barrack ’to store their materials, to eat their sandwiches or even to stay asleep. The 3-metre by 3-metre classified building was completely rebuilt in 2015 in wooden scaffolding and masonry. It is now furnished as a comfortable tractor cabin for 2 people. There are free bikes at our guests disposal!

You are staying in a new apartment on the first floor of our house. The front door (little used by us) and the hall are common. The apartment has two bedrooms each with a double bed (160cm), a living area with built-in kitchen, bathroom with shower in bathtub and separate toilet. A baby cot, high baby chair, 2 triple stair chairs and a diaper table are available.
