Absolutely fabulous stay, such stunning surroundings, Judith and family were accommodating, helpful, non intrusive. Would definitely stay again if I need to stay in the same area. Accomodation was clean, clutter free, warm, quiet and when I mentioned I was vegan Judith put oat milk in the fridge. Thoughtfulness like this goes a long way. Thanks so much, made my weekend. A lovely place and it made for a smooth stay and convenient for the rural drive along to Duxford (about 10 mins). There are peaceful walks on the doorstep and it’s about a 10 min. walk to The Pheasant pub (good food/drinks). It was a hot week and the little room did get very toasty but the fan helped (and was quiet enough for night time use). Also the park & ride was ideal (the Trumpington one) and stopped at the beautiful botanic gardens in Cambridge which we’d highly recommend for a great picnic and a relax. Would recommend this place…Jemma & the little dogs were lovely hosts and we’d like to return sometime.

David and Leslie are the kindest and most welcoming of hosts. They made me feel at home immediately, and nothing was too much trouble for them. They were very willing to accommodate my requests, and it was lovely to enjoy their hospitality in the garden. Their generosity was evident in the LWH - ensuring there were things for breakfast and a drink (even ice cold water in the fridge) to lovely cosmetics in the bathroom. And the LWH was spotless, beautifully kitted out and the bed was very, very comfortable. I had everything I needed for my short stay, and if I had needed something, I was reassured that all I should do was to ask. The LWH is a great place to stay to explore this part of Essex and is highly recommended. Thank you David and Leslie for all that you did to make my stay a memorable one.

We had an amazing stay! Beds were VERY comfortable! Host was incredibly hospitable and cottage was quaint and scenic views and sunset from the garden. And we had an amazing Sunday lunch in a local pub (about a 15 min walk away). Highly recommended! A gem in the countryside!
