Cottage holiday rentals in Little River

We have stayed at this cottage multiple times, and plan on returning many more. Although I stay at other AirBnb’s throughout the country for work, nothing compares to this Manchester Cottage for vacation. The host has the hosting process done to a T. The entire experience, from start to finish was flawless. Other hosts should take note on how to do it properly. The private beach access is definitely the coup de grace of the entire experience, but the fully equipped kitchen is runner up. With 3 sons, having a functional kitchen is a must. Not to mention the gas grill on the deck near the hot tub. Just writing the review makes me want to book my next visit! We look forward to our next visit. Thank you!

I loved loved loved Mary's place. Everything was clean and perfect. The outdoor fire, hot tub and BBQ was fun. The house was super comfortable, the kitchen was easy to cook in. The surroundings were so beautiful. And to top it off they have the sweetest doggie who visited and acted like a part of the family. I hope this place is available next time I'm in Fort Bragg, because I would love to stay again.

We absolutely loved our time here. Everything was so well taken care of inside their home and you simply cannot beat the view. It's stunning. We appreciated the dog -friendliness and wonderful location as well.

Awesome, quirky, and cute. Hot tub is nice, as is the whole seating area out there. If you are a fan of creative spaces, different styles of stays, and don’t need or do fancy, this place is ideal. It is creaky and if you are over six feet tall you’ll have to duck at one spot, but that stuff adds to the cute factor not subtract. Good spot

We were thrilled to find Dan's Cove Cottage on AirBnB. My husband grew up camping at the Wages Creek campground with his grandparents every summer in the 1960s-70s. We brought our own children to camp there when they were little. Now that we're older, it was wonderful to experience the matchless beauty of this beach with every comfort thoughtfully provided for, and every glorious view framed by a window. There is even a telescope! The wood stove was very easy to use, with everything provided, including excellent instructions, but the heating system is state of the art and the fire is more for the coziness and glow than warmth (but remember to turn the heating system down if there's no fog). I particularly liked the variety of pillows available,Dan went out of his way to make sure we knew everything we needed to know beforehand, such as directions, where to shop for groceries, exactly how to access the keys, etc. When cell coverage is spotty, this is a great help to print out and bring.

We enjoyed this stay Mother’s Day weekend, not only was it quiet and peaceful with the hot tub, but it was also the perfect location. Seconds away from the beach, cute little downtown shops and food. Listening to the waves and sea lions at night in the hot tub was just an added bonus! Definitely will stay here again.

The Cottage in Little River was a beautiful cozy stop on our Northern California road trip! We would absolutely stay here again as it was a perfect spot for two couples and the location was close to many great hikes and activities.

Great experience overall!! It was amazing getting to wake up and see giraffes feeding ever day. I would definitely recommend booking a guided tour as the animals are amazing and the staff are super knowledgeable and kind! I would recommend making it an unplugged trip as data is spotty and the WiFi isn’t the best.

Our stay at Stoney Bottom was absolutely outstanding. The host was gracious, welcoming, and attentive—truly one of the best we’ve encountered. He went out of his way to make us feel at home, and it showed in every detail. The amenities were next level. The kitchen was thoughtfully stocked with fresh eggs, artisan bread, local cheese, and a bottle of wine—not to mention a Nespresso machine that made our mornings a treat. The bathroom and bedroom were equally well-appointed with high-quality linens, toiletries, and thoughtful touches that made everything feel luxurious. The property itself was breathtaking—six acres of beautifully landscaped grounds with grassy areas, garden paths, and serene spots to relax. It would be a perfect setting for a wedding or special gathering. We felt not just comfortable, but genuinely welcomed—almost like staying with family. This is a place we’ll absolutely return to. Highly recommended

I don't think I have enough characters available to describe this experience! We use Airbnb often and this was our best one! First, the host Jeffrey was fantastic. So helpful and communicative. But this home is just a magical place. If you're looking for a very private experience, but still close to the city... this fits the bill. I don't think the photos posted do it justice compared to the in-person experience. The house-keeping crew is perfection... you wouldn't know someone ever visited before you. Everything was immaculately clean. The kitchen has every amenity you would ever need. Blankets, linens, and towels were abundant. Our group had the most wonderful time... thank you Jeffrey and Trey for sharing your home with travelers. We enjoyed the added bonus of wildlife encounters each day as well! I am sharing the link to this property with everyone I know!

Such a beautiful, secluded stay. We brought all our food and cooked in the well stocked kitchen and outdoor grill. We loved the pool table and piano upstairs. The beach is stunning. And the view — second to none! Can’t wait to return.

We stayed here for thanksgiving break and it was a perfect getaway for us. Very comfortable place with all the amenities and fully equipped kitchen (We cooked entire time we were there). The surroundings is so beautiful and peaceful. Hike around the lake was really beautiful. Mackenzie was very responsive and even stopped by to help us light the fire. And invited us to campfire one of the evenings. We had a relaxing time surrounded by our nature. Didnt even get out of the property like we had initially planned to.. Highly recommend and would love to go back again.!

We loved our stay at Ashley's! She was very communicative and answered our questions right away. The location is amazing as it is right on the river and across the street from such an incredible beach! We would love to stay here again if we are in the area :)

The cottage is in a lush green dense forest surrounding. Very quiet and peaceful. Inside of the house was clean, very well equipped with kitchen utensils, and had good quality bedding. Pay attention to the instructions sent by the host to find the house as the final dirt road to the house isn’t available on google maps. The house is dog friendly. They even had a dog bowl to use. There’s also a fully fenced backyard to leave your pet off leash. Overall, it’s a beautiful place to stay. 15 minutes away from Mendocino. With proactive and friendly host. Will definitely comeback here.

I had the very BEST stay at Mark's place! Everything about the stay was magical - the cottage was quaint and lovely, surrounded by redwoods. Mark's hospitality was of the very best I have seen...he was so kind, helpful and caring and lovely to talk with during the stay. He cares so much and wants to make sure his guests have the best experience. And wow the baked goods are incredible! This was the best mini retreat I could have imagined..I will definitely be back!

Barking Rocks Cottage is a lovely home, in peaceful surroundings with a wonderful ocean view. Kelly is an amazing hostess, proactively communicating and sharing very helpful local information with us ahead of the trip. Beautiful place in a great location, really appreciated the easy access to Mendocino and Russian Gulch, yet was tucked away on a quiet road and nice property. Would love to visit again.

We had a great stay, check in and check out was very simple and easy. The property was beautiful and it’s in a great location (walking distance to town and amazing views). It was private and quiet. It had great WiFi and everything else we could need. Our only problem was it was very cold, not sure if it was our problem that we couldn’t figure out the heater, but other than that everything was more than what we could’ve asked for.

My husband and I Loved our stay at Anne's home. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer. We do plan to go back. Her home is very clean and organized. We both slept so well. It's funny how that happens when you don't hear freeway noise! I highly recommend her place. She goes the extra mile to make her guest feel welcomed. We did. I can't think of anything we would suggest she do differently. If you're on the fence about reserving I'd recommend you just do it.

Such a stunning little cottage and property! Perfect for a peaceful getaway. The hosts were very friendly, welcoming, and thorough with their responses and detailed information. Highly recommend staying here as I felt very at peace. One of the best Airbnbs I have ever stayed in!

Our stay was very warm and cozy, the place was very clean and relaxing. We will definetely rent again. Our host was very easy to get in contact with, fast responses. Easy check in and an over all comfortable stay.

If you are seeking R & R in a charming and comfortable setting this is the place! The little house is very bright, cozy and has everything you need to relax with many thoughtful touches. Town is close by and has some good restaurants to try out. Scarlett was also very helpful in giving us river spots to try. For those seeking complete quiet just be aware that a family with children does live close by and while the noise was never excessive it is within earshot. It was never an issue for us. We felt very fortunate to be able to book this place last minute on a busy holiday weekend. And if you don’t want busy… the town of Hopland is the place to be!

Ryan's place is a little slice of heaven- truly a really cute and peaceful place. The ONLY thing is the beds are basically right next to each other, which makes sharing the place a tad awkward.
