It's also ideal for kayakers or walkers. The bothy is next to the host's artist’s studio which it is possible to see by arrangement. Please note: We DO NOT have Wi-Fi or phone reception at the pod (phone reception is available around 1.5 miles back along the road en route to the pod) We are situated a short 5 minute drive to the famous Morar Silver Sands and Camusdaroch beaches and 10 minutes from Mallaig village where guests will find shops, bars and restaurants.

Am Bothan - a cosy retreat on the Isle of Skye

Am Bothan (translates from Gaelic as Wee Place) is on a former croft on the Isle of Skye. This is an ideal place for couples or singles wanting simple accommodation in this beautiful part of the island. The property has a fully equipped kitchen with hob, oven, microwave, fridge and washing machine (free to use). WiFi is included. Please note that there is one bed and no space upstairs to sleep on the floor. Charging of Electric Vehicles is NOT permitted

A delightful place to stay and newly finished in May 2019 'The Wee House' can be found right next door to our own (slightly bigger) house, 'Heisgeir'. We will be on hand just next door to give you a warm welcome and to ensure your stay with us, and whilst you explore the Skye and Lochalsh area , is both enjoyable and peaceful. Being born and brought up in the area we hope our local knowledge will allow you make the most of your trip.
