Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Lorain

What a lovely surprise this property was! We’ve been coming to the area for years, but not to this particular location by the river. Right outside our favorite little town of Vermilion, the home was in a quiet, walkable community. The Loft was lovely - perfectly furnished with comfortable seating, bed, and decor and thoughtful touches for our Aussie.

The home was nicely remodeled, very clean and close to relatives we were visiting. The hot tub was a nice amenity. We would happily book it again when we return to the area.

We stayed at Lorrie's house for the weekend of our child's graduation from Oberlin College. Lorrie was so responsive and flexible when I asked for an earlier check-in and whether we could host a small gathering of our college student's friends one evening. The house was perfect for the 7 adults we had in our party and could have easily accommodated more! There are many indoor spaces for mingling and relaxing, the kitchen is very well appointed and the bedrooms are so comfortable. Our weather was divine, so we were really able to utilize and enjoy the amazing backyard with it's wonderful seating areas and awesome Lake Erie vista. We had a meal outside and enjoyed s'mores around the fire pit. There were many extra chairs and tables conveniently located in the garage for our outdoor fun. We made many trips to and from Oberlin, but the house set up made us feel like we were really on vacation. Thank you for your hospitality Lorrie and we would highly recommend a stay in your lovely home!

This is a really wonderful home that is clean and spacious. Beds were comfortable and the game room was great for my teenager. The gas grill and fire pit made the evenings very special. The location was excellent and the hosts were exceptionally kind, welcoming and accommodating. I could not recommend this home my highly!

Rick’s home was perfect for my nephews and me. We flew in to celebrate my son’s birthday at Cedar Point, and this place was exactly what we needed. Everyone had their own little space, which was great. After being outside all day, it was nice to return to a semi-off-the-grid and quiet environment. The location was convenient for everything else we needed to access. Thank you, Rick!

Excellent house and amazing hosts! For my family it is very special: it was the first place we stayed in Ohio when we brought our daughter to college. The wonderful, very friendly owner of the house, Rob allowed us to bring our cat with us and we had a perfect restful time by the lake, watching amazing sunsets and meeting bright sunrises.Four years later, our daughter graduated from college, and we, of course, again chose Rob's house to stay and celebrate in. The house has a delightful atmosphere. I love the little dinette right next to the kitchen — it is so cozy to have breakfast there. Dinners in the living room, by the huge windows looking out onto the lake, were an absolute feast for the soul. Everything is very well thought out in the house, the needs of guests are anticipated by the large amounts of extra bedding and towels.The beds are comfortable. Thank you so much, Rob, for your hospitality,diligence and willingness in making sure that guest’s visits are always enjoyable

This cozy home was the perfect retreat during our trip! From the moment we walked in, we felt completely at ease—the space was clean, welcoming, and thoughtfully decorated with little touches that made it feel like a true home away from home. Whether we were relaxing in the evening or just enjoying some downtime, it offered just the right blend of comfort and charm. The host was kind and attentive, and everything we needed was right at our fingertips. Truly a lovely place to relax and recharge—I’d absolutely stay again!

The house was absolutely beautiful, easy to find very clean and she was so easy to communicate with. It felt like I was at home.

This Airbnb was a great place for a quick weekend getaway! The area was quiet, and close to different activities around. Public parking right by the building was definitely a bonus!

My son and I stayed there for a little family reunion get together. We were 10 minutes from my family. Apartment the apartment was so cute. The area was really nice and quaint. The best part was coming back home and sitting on the balcony. And just enjoying the neighborhood.. it was really hard to leave. There are a lot of stores and places to eat and walking distance. A melting pot of history in that area. Even if you wanna go downtown, you could take the train. The station is maybe five minutes away. Absolutely gorgeous stay, we didn’t spend much time in the AirBNB as my group was there for an event but Cathy was extremely responsive, accommodating, and friendly!! The views and neighborhood were amazing and the house is so unique and beautiful! I absolutely recommend this stay as it’s close to many attractions in the area as well and is super comfy to wind down from a long day at. Amazing stay!

Host Mama’s place was fabulous! The house had everything we needed and more. It’s in a perfect location close to everything. Host Mama was kind and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. We’ll definitely be back!

Cozy, charming, very clean place. Perfect for my solo getaway. Excellent location for walking to coffee and restaurants and for enjoying the public square. Love to stay here again.

Fun space that was in a perfect spot for a show we were going to at the Roxy / Munhall’s. The apartment was walkable to many other businesses in the area. The host kindly left us small surprises, like great snacks and a coupon to the restaurant directly under the apartment (highly recommend taking advantage of it, great burritos there). We would definitely love to stay again if ever in the area!

We had a great one-night stay at Lee’s place! It was perfect for a quick stopover in Cleveland - easy to access, safe, and in a super neighborhood-y area that felt really welcoming. Lee was responsive and made check-in a breeze. We were able to park right on the street with no issues, and everything felt very safe. The location was great for getting out and exploring - we even went for a morning run in Edgewater Park, which was absolutely beautiful. The space was comfortable and had everything we needed. Would stay here again!

I stayed at Brian’s place for a few nights where I attended a concert at Huntington Bank Field. The area is very nice and close to many restaurants. Only a short uber to downtown Cleveland! The unit was very clean and I loved the aesthetic! Communication was super easy and parking was easy as well. Would definitely come back and stay here again!

We booked on short notice. Jonathon was very accommodating. The condo was clean, comfortable, and perfectly located on the lake.

Amazing little place to stay, perfect for our mini vacation. The area was super walkable and parking was easy to find. The condo had all the amenities you could need and as a bonus the water pressure was great. I would definitely book again.

All great things, all great things! This was one of our favorites that we stayed so far and we've been in several at this location! Also, this was the first time we fished right there on the water, and it was great fun! Ross was very responsive on a couple quirky questions, nothing impactful, all great! Would stay, again.

Great location for us. Reasonably close to where we were going. It allowed us to avoid traffic. Unit is exactly what you expected based on the pictures. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Tanesha is a wonderful host. I hope we’re lucky enough to stay there again for our next visit.

This was our 2nd time at Paul and Colleen’s condo. It was again the perfect spot for a week of relaxation and the condo was perfect for us. It was exactly as described and the patio was our favorite spot to sit and enjoy the pier next door. We recommend the spot and look forward to coming there again.

Spent a month in this very comfortable condo! Great location to walk and get around Ohio City and surrounding neighborhoods (Hingetown, Duck Island, Tremont). :its of restaurants within walking distance along with easy access to the West Side Market. Quiet, friendly and safe neighborhood. I would definitely stay there again...highly recommend!

Host was responsive, friendly and helpful. The place was clean and organized. Plenty of towels, good bedding and all the necessary kitchen necessities. They provided good information and made sure our needs were being met.
