Really nice place to stay. Very quiet, peaceful, and pretty. Great view of the Au Sable both from the house and dock. Big farm table that easily sits eight and was fantastic for playing board games on. Rochelle offered a great variety of amenities to choose from-too many to list. She had a nice work desk with a keyboard and monitor in the walkout basement with a view of the river if you need to work remotely. She has a nice selection of linens/blankets. Beds were extremely comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans/dishes etc. I know many people love their coffee in the morning-she had a regular coffee pot and what appeared to be a Breville espresso maker (we don’t drink coffee so I’m not an expert on the fancier machines 😂). Although we didn’t bring our dog, the place was dog friendly. Short jaunt to Hartwick Pines. About 25 minutes to get to a town if you are looking for a selection of restaurants or shopping. Great stay, would recommend! Hope to be back 🙂

The chalet is beautiful, even in the winter. We were able to kayak the river and fish, even in the snow. This is now my son's favorite stay on Airbnb, and now I wish I had a chalet home, nice design and very spacious. The interior is decorated very nice and has every convenience and impeccably clean. You won't regret your stay, excellent value, and we hope to return. The host, Darlene, was in touch with us a week ahead of time with concern about the possible road conditions which turned out to be good. There was two feet of snow on the ground, (very pretty time of year by the way), Darlene had the parking and walkways shoveled free of snow, and she also made sure our check in and stay went smooth. Great place to get away for the weekend. Good surroundings and very private.

This is a perfect little cottage for a peaceful retreat with the family. It felt like home with a well stocked seasoning selection and plenty of warm blankets and towels. There’s also a bathtub which was great for young kids! It’s about 2-minutes from a small gas station and a restaurant with great food. This was a last minute booking for us due to weather and I am so glad we stayed here. I highly recommend this place if you enjoy the outdoors and a cozy place to sleep.
