Cottage holiday rentals in Lovesick Lake

Great getaway! Went fishing by the bridge and watched our friends paddleboard on the lake from the hottub. Had a great time!

My friends and I had the most wonderful girls' trip at Darlene's cottage this past weekend. The space was spotless, cozy, and very well stocked with all the necessities and beyond. We especially enjoyed the unique game room and the hot tub. Darlene even left us a s'mores kit, a bottle of wine, and a lovely note to welcome us! We highly recommend. 😊

Wait.. there is no option for 6 stars!?! Wow, where to begin!?! From check-in to check-out, our group had a fantastic time. Our host was super friendly and easy to connect with at all times. Our group had 8; 6 adults, a teen & a child. Everyone was entertained at all times from the karaoke machine, the games, the hot tub, the firepit, the kayaks & canoes, the swimming, and the stairway to haven, which was truly breathtaking taking!!! The town of Halliburton was a short 10 minutes away where we enjoyed some shopping, lunch & coffee. We were celebrating my parents 50th wedding anniversary; 78 & 73 years young and they rocked that staircase several times! We frequent Air B N Bs often and this is by far my new favourite. There is already talk of a return visit in the future. Highland Bliss is gourgeous, loaded with all the amenities, is spotless, super comfortable and my family is so thankful to Marcia for allowing us to visit her beautiful space and create lasting memories!

from the moment we arrived we knew we had found a gem. from.the clear communication to the immaculate cottage with gorgeous views and crystal clean hot tub, we were sold !!! Highly recommend!!! will be back as soon as we are able .

Chorong was a great host! Leading up to our stay she was extremely responsive as I had a lot of questions! The house itself was stunning. Clearly it is taken care of and maintained very well. All of the beds were so comfortable. Outdoor area was a lovely space. Would definitely like to come back in the winter as I am sure the scenery is beautiful.

It is a beautiful, secluded area on Pine Lake with the back facing west (Make sure that you enjoy watching the sunsets from the living room area or the hot tub!). There was plenty of equipment by the dock for us to use and enjoy on the water. The kids enjoyed paddling and swimming in the lake. If you are looking to work remotely, the internet connection was solid as my friend decided to work. If you are looking to switch off and go analog - it rained heavily one day there, but everyone was entertained with the all of the games and puzzles that were supplied at the cottage. Our Great Pyrenees dogs enjoyed roaming the site. We had an issue with the BBQ, but with some quick messaging with Jesse, he was able to get someone out to the cottage to fix the issue. It is a bit of trek to get into the cottage by vehicle, so I recommend that you enjoy the seclusion of the site - it is worth it! However, it is easy to get into town if you need to go there. My friends and I stayed here for a winter weekend away and it was just what we needed/wanted in a little cottage. Great location for those coming from the GTA and nice and close for those in Simcoe. Once we got there we felt right at home! The hosts had cleared the walking paths and back deck of any recent snow fall which made it nice and easy to get inside and enjoy the grounds. They went above and beyond by having the wood burning stove going for us when we checked in which made CARL that much more cozy and welcoming. Communication and instructions were very clear and detailed from start to finish which made the whole rental process easy and enjoyable. My friends and I look forward to coming back to CARL in the future!

This was my second time at Rebecca's place. As always it was clean, well stocked, and so incredibly peaceful. You cannot beat the views and the walk out sandy beach. I always feel right at home there. The beds are so comfy, the couch is nap worthy, and I could sit outside in an Adirondack chair and read all day long. Thank you Rebecca for the lovely accommodations. Highly recommend!

Another excellent week at McCracken's Landing. I couldn't say enough great things about how every single person working the cabins, restaurant, and store are all so friendly and truly care about the place and their guests. It's a slice of paradise!

The house was spotless and the garden was absolutely lovely. Both we and our dog had a wonderful time during our stay. We always bring our own sheets to Airbnb stays, but we couldn’t help noticing how fresh and clean the ones here smelled — that was a really nice touch. Many of the things we brought with us were already available in the house, which made everything so convenient. Hot water was always available, which made our stay even more comfortable. The garden was peaceful, filled only with the sounds of birds and frogs — it was truly relaxing to just listen to nature. Getting away from Toronto for a few days was exactly what we needed. Before we arrived, Dylan had kindly left firewood out in the yard for us — that was such a thoughtful gesture and we really appreciated it. As a suggestion, the double bed could use some improvement — it wasn’t very comfortable. Also, the mosquitoes were really intense; despite using repellent, we were bitten all over. Katie and Craig's place was nothing short of impeccable. We were a family of 6 with 2 small kids and this place really felt so comfortable and cozy, that we definitely decided to make it our annual getaway. As hosts, Craig and Katie were so easy and friendly to communicate with. We missed a few things to grab from the store, but Katie was able to arrange to get us these items, which were much appreciative. The cabin is located in such a serene and spectacular location. The boat ride to and from the cabin was an experience in itself and whilst we were at the cabin there were plenty of games for the kids to be entertained with, a peaceful hammock which I personally slept on for the 2 afternoons we spent there, and finally the hot tub, canoes and peddle boats. This is a gem of a place with excellent amenities. 5 stars do not do this place justice honestly. It's 7 stars for sure!

I have stayed at over 130 AirBnBs, likely 40 of them cottages, and this may be my favourite. The effort and care put into making this property the ultimate lake experience is overwhelming. We didn't even have the chance to sit at every beautiful spot - there just weren't enough days! The beach - the dock - the lake fire pit - the hill fire pit - the deck fireplace - the gazebo with the full table and chairs - the perfect dining table overlooking the whole lake... And that's just outside. The beds are incredibly comfortable, the soaker tub sublime, and the main living room as cozy a spot as we've ever been. Our original AirBnB was not as advertised, and Tomek made his place available at 6 pm on a Friday night for the weekend. He didn't just save our weekend -- he made it better. I can't say enough good things. Book this spot. If you're looking for a cottage weekend relaxing outside, it might be the best I've ever seen. Thank you Tomek.

Wonderful big modern home that accommodated all 12 of us. The inside is as beautiful as the outside. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the facilities and amenities inside the home as well as the breath taking scenery outside by the lake. It was so peaceful to sip our morning coffee on the deck enjoying the beautiful nature and afterwards kayaking and sunbathing. Our hosts & co-hosts were very friendly and replied quickly to all our inquiries. We highly recommend this place.

The cottage was clean and beautiful. It was very comfortable and homey. Victoria and Ron were great hosts. We loved our stay and would surely come back. We had a super time and the location is fab.

We had a lovely stay at Navid’s place! The cottage was spotless and had all the amenities you could think to need. The property itself was beautiful, with a well maintained deck, and easy access to the water. Navid was a very responsive and kind host. We had a lovely stay and would definitely stay again!

Our stay at the Eh Frame Haus was awesome. The cabin is beautiful and private and the property is spectacular. We loved the private dock, hot tub and big living room-was roomy for 4 of us, but definitely enough space for 6 or more. Janessa was a great host and check-in and everything was easy. Can’t recommend this place enough, we had a great time!

We had an amazing time, the cottage was kid friendly while still being a fun place for adults to hang out! The sauna was great, the hot tub has cool treetop views of the lake, the dock was massive and offered plenty of space to hang out. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a cottage this summer!

We had an amazing getaway at this beautiful, brand new cottage! The place was squeaky clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. The view of the lake was so calm and serene it made the whole stay feel peaceful and refreshing. The cottage was fully equipped with everything we needed, from kitchen essentials to laundry supplies. There were fun activities for everyone kayaking, a big floating tube, a fantastic game room, and even a secret kids’ playroom that felt straight out of Narnia. We also made great use of the BBQ setup, which had all the necessary tools. Every detail was well taken care of, and it’s clear the owners put a lot of love into the space. A perfect spot for families or anyone looking to relax and enjoy nature. Highly recommend!

We absolutely fell in love with Ken’s cottage on Stoney Lake. The cottage was cozy and clean and well cared for. We love that the cottage opens right onto a dock. It feels like you’re on a houseboat! Despite there being cottages nearby it was so quiet and we also loved using the canoe he provided to explore the lake. Our favourite part by far was the private Nordic spa. It was so relaxing and peaceful to have this private space to relax in a stunning natural setting. The neighbours we met were very warm and we also love the nearby communities. It’s close to Lakefield for ammenities and small town charm. We love the care that Ken has put into this unique experience and we plan on coming back twice a year to recharge and reconnect with nature and ourselves. We will also be referring family and friends. Thanks Ken for letting us use your little slice of paradise.

Lovely cottage! Great location with good access to nearby towns while being close. Kayaks are great to have onsite and the outdoor area is lovely and large. Bedrooms are small but comfortable, and there is ample seating inside and outside. Neighbors are close but the area itself is lovely. Host is quick to respond and communicates well.

Had a wonderful annual weekend away with all my girlfriends! Although the weather didn’t cooperate for the whole weekend, there was tons of room and games inside to keep us entertained. The covered back deck and hot tub were great too to let us get outside a bit. Will definitely be booking again hopefully when the sun is out and can enjoy the dock and fire pit! Overall a beautiful spacious place for 10 people to enjoy and very clean too.
