Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Lower Saxony

We were with two adults and three children for a short trip to Cuxhaven and had an all-round beautiful time in the cozy cottage. We were even allowed to check in a little earlier and the communication was super friendly and uncomplicated at all times. Everything was fine for us. Here's how to make Airbnb fun! ;-)

The cozy little cottage, overgrown with fragrant roses, was just the thing for a break. In the morning you wake up to the sound of birdsong, in the evening hedgehogs run across the terrace. An idyll with super lovely hosts who live next door. Lake Ratzeburg is about 15 minutes away by car.

From the simple check-in to the departure, everything was great. The house was very clean and equipped with everything you might need. Beautiful garden, cozy seating areas and plenty of privacy. Since the garden is completely fenced, the stay was also great for our dog, who was greeted with a filled water bowl. Shops, bakeries, restaurants, etc. within walking distance. Many excursion destinations in the nearby area. We enjoyed it very much.

We felt very comfortable at Alfred's. The house and property are super nice and very suitable for a large group. Everything is insanely well maintained and super clean. The amenities also left nothing to be desired. We were very kindly received and said goodbye and also in between we were asked if we needed anything. The area is beautiful and you can be in nature a lot. We will spend our family reunion there again next year, if possible!

The stay with Ingrid and Jürgen was all around successful :) The accommodation corresponded exactly to the description – very nice, quiet and surrounded by nature. It is furnished with great attention to detail, which immediately conveys a feeling of home. Communication was also always warm and helpful. If you are looking for a break and want to enjoy peace and quiet, I can definitely recommend this accommodation!!

Our stay at Arne's was really great. We were very satisfied with the house and impressed with the amenities! Communication and check-in went smoothly. It's really as beautiful as in the photos!

Pia is a very pleasant, friendly and reserved hostess. We were there for three nights as a patchwork family (9 adults, 2 toddlers and 1 dog) who had come together for a few days from Berlin, Hamburg and the greater Aachen area. We had to rearrange a little so that we had a place to sleep for everyone and yet everyone could have breakfast and eat together, which is easily possible in the old school on the 1st floor. Since we had rented all the living areas, there was a retreat for almost everyone. The environment is very quiet and rural, but in our case, that was also intentional. A few kilometers away in Schweiburg there is a very good bakery as well as a small supermarket. One morning, we did a guided mudflat hike with the whole family, which was fun for everyone and also educational. So all in all, a nice get-together!

The apartment is very spacious, modern and tastefully furnished. The equipment is absolutely complete, nothing is missing. Uta welcomed us warmly and we immediately felt comfortable. We can fully recommend the apartment.

The few days at Volker's were very nice. We felt right at home after we were very warmly welcomed by Volker. The apartment is the perfect place for a break, and we got numerous tips for beautiful excursions. Volker was always a helpful point of contact and impeccable host. My child was able to feed Volker's chickens and collect the eggs, we were allowed to help ourselves in the spacious herb garden and pancakes were fried for us by the common campfire. Thank you for the wonderful time! We will hopefully come back. :-)

We had a few nice days in the great, listed house. We and especially our dog found the terrace and the garden particularly beautiful. We would have liked to use it a lot more, if the weather hadn't thrown a spanner in the works. For this, we were able to relax in the barrel sauna and even got bathrobes (for an extra charge). That was great. Dajana and Frank were very friendly and accommodating. Although they were not present during our holiday, they invited us for a coffee at their stand in Boltenhagen. In the apartment, we lacked nothing, the cleanliness was also great. Special plus: there was coffee! We will be happy to come back! :)

Rita was an absolutely amazing host. She was extremely kind, communicated very well, and made sure we had everything we needed. The place is beautifully furnished, clean, and very well kept. We really enjoyed staying in the house, as it had many great amenities and the room was very open. One thing to note is that the location is not the most accessible to the city center and station. Regardless, the nature was beautiful and the walk didn’t bother us. Overall, the home was of extremely great value and I would highly recommend it!

Cathrin is a great host. Very responsive and ready to help. Her place is very nice. And the garden is breathtaking. I would describe it as a two bedroom apartment with a nice beautiful loft that can function as a third bedroom. The space that is listed as a third bedroom is a couch in the kitchen area. If you are traveling with little kids this might function well for you but we were three adults and everyone needed some privacy. We solved the problem by using the beautiful loft area as a third bedroom and all was good. Overall, good experience.

Very nice cosy place, feels just like home. The area is a bit remote, it is nice to have a car to go around.

Top Airbnb! Beautiful garden with so many places to chill, swimming in the river on a hot day was so refreshing and perfect to reset from city life. It’s very peaceful, the apartment has everything you need, very spacious, clean and cozy. Dorothee was super friendly, communicative and thoughtful, we enjoyed meeting her as well! All in all great place to get in the nature and recharge.

Nice banana lodge. Good location for a stopover. We enjoyed the animals and the space of the premises. Nice little cottage, good for two or three people.

We spent four nights in Claudia's small oasis in the countryside with our dog, and 🐶 everyone felt right at home. There is a large garden with many seating options as well as by the lake. You can hear the birds chirping all the time, and you can only relax there. 🕊️ Our highlight was the outdoor shower. In the house, nothing was missing, and you could also relax in the rocking chair next to the fireplace. The Baltic Sea is not far away, so you can also spend a day at the beach. There is a baker nearby. With the dog, you only need to go out the gate and can walk directly through the green. 🌳 Claudia was very friendly and open-minded and makes a lot of effort. Behind the house, a pair of swans are brooding. Unfortunately, we were not able to see the little ones hatch 🦢 We can only recommend the place!

Very cozy 'cabin in the woods', it was amazing staying there.

We had a wonderful short break at Katja's cozy cabin in Thale. The cabin was very clean, lovingly decorated and perfect for a little getaway. The quiet location and the great view of nature were particularly beautiful – ideal for relaxing. The little one had plenty of space to play, and we were able to enjoy the time together to the fullest. Thank you, Katja, for the warm hospitality – we will be happy to come back!

The cottage is on the outskirts of the property and offers a lot of privacy. At the back, there is a beautiful veranda, with a wide view of beautiful nature. The cottage itself was also fine, with on the lower floor a 2 (single beds)person bedroom and and toilet, otherwise it has a good and complete kitchen, including oven, microwave and induction hob. On the upper floor there is also a bedroom and the shower. On the property there are various playground equipment for children and there is a swimming pond.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a wonderful stay in the camping barrel! The accommodation is idyllically located in nature. Perfect for switching off and relaxing. Our child was thrilled with the small fireplace and the lovingly designed play area with swing and sandbox. The outdoor kitchen, which was equipped with everything necessary and made the camping feeling perfect, was particularly practical. The chickens on the property were a real highlight for our child. The camping barrel was clean, cozy and ideal for two adults and one child. Everything was decorated with a lot of love for detail. The hosts were very nice, warm and always helpful. We felt completely comfortable. We will be happy to come back!

A beautiful house in a quiet neighborhood. Kitchen especially well equipped. Awesome places outside to spend time. I highly recommend this place 🙂
