Take a stroll or cycle along the famous 46km stretch of The Barrow Blueway or cast your fishing rod into the world of coarse fishing on the Grand Canal. Why not take a walk into town across the Aqueduct and visit some of our favourites such as Mooneys & Brennans or snuggle up to a log burning stove. Daars North Cottage is located in the peaceful countryside 3 miles from Straffan, Clane and Sallins Village. The cottage is compact and clean with two double rooms and a single room. The Cottage is very secure set behind our main house. As the cottage is based at our home we would be delighted to help out with local knowledge and places of interest. Easily accessible from Dublin (30 mins) by train and bus service (50 mins). We have 3 friendly dogs here so unfortunately NO Dogs allowed

Secluded cabin on animal sanctuary

The cabin is situated at our home and small self funded vegan/vegetarian sanctuary on a hill, nestled in its own small wild nature garden and developing food forest of fruit, nuts and wild edibles. We have developed our whole site into a track system or otherwise known as Paradise paddock. Meet some of our rescue animals. Sit by the campfire and enjoy the views of the surrounding countryside. It's a great place to enjoy the peace and quiet of the Irish Midlands and surrounding counties.
