The space
Originally built as a monastery centuries ago, Chalet Toit du Monde is today a world-class chalet that has been refurbished to uphold the highest standards of luxury. Enter through the majestic door and notice an ancient script with numbers carved into the beam, a reminder of this villa’s unique history. Located in Val d’Isère, one of the most famous skiing villages in the French Alps, you’ll be staying in the one of the most beautiful skiing regions in all the world.
The majestic facade of the chalet rises dramatically above the door and boasts tiers of intricately crafted balconies with outstanding views of the slopes as well as the chalet’s indoor/outdoor swimming pool. A glittering crystal chandelier greets guests entering the white marble hall, which is warmed by a dual-faced glass fireplace. Enjoy the cozy cigar lounge and a pool area with awe-inspiring views.
At Chalet Toit du Monde, there’s a perfect balance between antique and modern. From ancient studded doors leading to engraved marble wall panels, to a traditional Tibetan painted frame and a cunningly concealed cloak cupboard, this villa represents the height of style. The formality of the massive stone beams and pillars in the inner hall gives way to an eclectic and warm atmosphere in the living room, where glass, wood and soft colorful furnishings mingle with fur and antiques. Translucent marble with snowflakes carved in relief divide the living room from the dining room with handcrafted wooden furniture. A floating staircase and a small curving bridge lend mystery to the formality of this room.
Chalet Toit du Monde accommodates up to eight guests in four magnificent bedrooms. Each bedroom includes a king bed, en-suite bathroom with bath tub and rain shower, steam room, under floor heating, HD TV, heated lavatory seat, mini bar and fireplace. With fur accents and clear walls to the bathroom, each suites at Chalet Toit du Monde embodies the peak of luxury.
Val d’Isère offers a plethora of activities on and off the slopes. Enjoy ice skating, dog sledding, swimming, bowling, spa treatments, skiing and mountaineering.
