Emmanuelle’s place warrants all the 5* reviews, including my own. It is an incredibly comfortable and beautiful house - they have really thought through everything a guest needs. For example, a storm caused some electricity microcuts and not only had they shown me the breaker box, but everything is clearly labeled so it was a 2 minute fix. They really think ahead. The house is also in a spectacular setting and it is an amazing house to relax with family. An added plus is the AC - you don’t need it most of the time, but when you do, you do, and it’s refreshingly powerful. Emmanuelle and her parents are so welcoming, they brought us a gorgeous box of their own veggies from their garden as well as some local treats, and they were responsive to any questions or concerns. I really can’t say enough positive about this house, the area and the hosts. 12/10.

perfect host and a great stay!

Sandra was a fantastic host greeting us by producing lovely meat, cheese, wine and beer in the bar area. She was contactable throughout our stay and has been helpful sorting out something for me since we left. The property is amazing with 5 bedrooms and several bathrooms/WCs. We used the pool and hot tub every day along with the games room containing a pool table and bar with a fridge and dishwasher. The rear garden is huge and the is a petanque court and table tennis table. There is generous outside space to eat (there were 9 of us) helped by a good sized gas bbq. The kitchen has loads of space with many of the cupboards full of items to be used. The nearest supermarkets (Intermarche & Carrefour) are both a few minutes drive with Carrefour offering low costs fuel. It is a relatively short drive to Bayonne which is a lovely town astride a river with plenty of restaurants, bars and shops with pretty good car parks available. Overall a lovely villa with a fantastic host.

Five star review for Elena (host), the house and location. Prior to our visit the communication from Elena was excellent. She kindly provided details of local routes, places to visit and recommendations for restaurants etc… We had arranged to meet Elena on the day of our arrival but due to an unfortunate incident, we were delayed. Elena was so understanding and offered to help in anyway she could. Upon our late arrival, Elena made numerous phone calls to ensure we could eat at a local restaurant and had also left a lovely selection of food and drink items for us at the house. The house itself is fantastic and provided all that we could have wished for in our stay. I would thoroughly recommend this house and a big thank you to Elena for making us feel so welcome.

Relaxing and soothing stay in the middle of nature. Nearby beach, about 40 min walk because the nearest is for naturists. There's everything you need to have a good time. Thanks again.

Communication and hospitality was perfect, very appreciated kindness and kindness. The location is amazing, once the suitcases are packed, everything is easily done on foot. The view from the deck is fantastic. The quality of the bedding is very good and the place is tastefully decorated. EVERYTHING comes together for a very pleasant stay and create wonderful memories.

A short stay but could not fault the hosts and their accommodation at all.

Very pleasant stay at Aña's who was a very good host, always available and attentive. The accommodation was clean and the kitchen very well-equipped which is rare. Sare is a very charming village with pretty walks and hikes starting from the village.

Delight of our stay, beautiful house with open views over the mountains. Beautiful garden, peaceful with sheep around. Very well equipped, we lacked nothing. Perfect place for the kids, plus dog friendly! Thanks for your hospitality.

The house worked well for us. We were a group of adults and kids. The kids found the (small) swimming pool enjoyable. There was space in the garden to run free. Also there was a grill which we didn’t try. The kitchen had everything you needed for basic holiday cooking. The location is quite good. Quiet area, supermarket is close by(by car). The beach is about 4km away. We had car, but the bike paths go everywhere so you can also move around with bike. There are some minuses. The house gets quite warm and there is no aircondition or fans. There is a noticable smell of mold. Some of the places need renovation but with kids it’s a good place since it’s not brand new… All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would consider coming back.

We had a wonderful time at Villa Sama! Very nice welcome from Audrey and Martial who are also very responsive. The house was very clean and perfect for a family holiday. I recommend it without a second thought so I can enjoy the Basque coast.

I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed this home. Perfect for groups or families and the house had everything you could want to make you feel at home. The location is perfect if you plan to visit multiple French and Spanish cites. Very great location close to beaches and restaurants. We would definitely like to come again!

Fantastic house!!!! Very attentive Albert and Helene, solving anything at the moment. Upon our arrival they welcomed us with homemade jam, a very good pate and eggs from their beloved chickens that sipped our puppy... I recommend this history-filled home with a fabulous setting, surrounded by charming villages. The house and setting are much better than the pictures. We will definitely repeat. Best regards.

We had a really nice family holiday at Annie's place. The house and town are perfect for hiking in the area and short day trips to e.g. San Sebastian and to the sea. We've enjoyed it very much.

A just perfect stay! The villa is ideally located in Capbreton: close to the beach, shops, bike paths... everything is within reach. The house is superb, very well maintained and equipped with absolutely everything you need — you feel at home from the moment you arrive. But what really made our stay exceptional was our host: incredibly kind, always available and attentive to make sure everything went well. Her warm welcome really made a difference. We would recommend this villa without a second thought and hope to come back very soon!

We had a wonderful week at this lovely place, full of 70s charm. Everything has its own style — slightly dated, but very well maintained and in great condition. We stayed with four children under the age of two, and they truly had the time of their lives. The garden is a highlight, with both sunny and shady spots under beautiful old trees — perfect for little explorers. The pool was still a bit cool at this time of year, but ideal for a refreshing dip. We also brought a small baby pool, which worked perfectly for the toddlers. There’s a barbecue, and the location is fantastic: great for walks, stroller-friendly, and just a 15-minute walk to the beach with 2 nice beach restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come back in a heartbeat.
