Cabin holiday rentals in Macon County

We were so surprised and happy to have come into a winter wonderland, the access was well cleared, and very easy to get to. House was beautiful, everything worked, Kimberly was great, if she will have us we will be back in the summer, awesome place!!!

super helpful when we were trying to find it. host was worried gps would send us the wrong way and gave step by step directions. thankfully, our gps worked out fine because we came in from the opposite side of the mountain, but his directions were on point coming from the other side. beautiful view. nice and clean. within 20 min from most anything you could want to do.

The location is incredible! Stunning views from high up on a mountain. The cabin is the nicest mountain cabin I’ve ever rented. It had all the comforts and felt a little luxurious and new. Very nice kitchen with all the supplies we needed for 2 days of cooking in. The whole place was extremely clean with nice furniture and decor. We will come back next time we need a mountain cabin.

This place was exactly what we were looking for – peaceful, private, and secluded. After a day of hiking and exploring Bryson City, we decided to stock up on food and stay in for the rest of our 4-day trip. The kitchen was well-stocked with appliances, and I loved cooking while enjoying the stunning views of the Smoky Mountains. The fireplace and hot tub were both fantastic. The bed on the first floor was comfortable, though after a couple of nights, I developed a backache – it may have been a bit too soft for my liking. My son, however, was very happy with his bed on the second floor. One downside, which had nothing to do with the property itself, was the presence of dead trees, likely due to the timing of our visit. While the sunrises were beautiful, they didn’t quite live up to the pictures. Another small disappointment was the lack of hiking trails right within walking distance of the home. At least my dogs loved the daily hikes up and down the paved road.

We loved staying here! Maria was a great host--she provided all of our information in advance and if I had a question she responded quickly. We went for a weekend Valentine getaway and it was perfect! Sometimes rentals can be uncomfortable (furniture, amenities, etc) but not at Hannah Mountain! The sofa, chairs and bed were cozy and perfect for us. We couldn't say enough great things about it. We will be back!

What an amazing host. Very attentive and responsive. Also the notes, wine. and most of all the pillow with personal messages was an amazing touch. Will be back to this home in the future.

We had an amazing time. The place was in a beautiful little community of cabins but still very private. The view was spectacular and the place itself cozy but modern with everything you need to relax and unwind. It’s minutes from great hiking (river otters and a baby black bear!) and easily accessible waterfalls without a lot of foot traffic. Great for visiting both Cashiers and Highlands. Highly recommend!

This location was great for our hiking trip, close to trails and small towns. Its secluded position on a mountainside made for quiet and beautiful surroundings. Recent tree trimmings removed some nature in order to see more nature. Beds, kitchen, and living space were comfortable. If you are ok with steep, twisty roads then it is worth the drive to this place.

Amazing little cottage with gorgeous views from the front porch! Driveway is steep but plentiful parking for 2- 3 cars. Host is very responsive, friendly and the house was clean and honey ❤️ Loved our stay and we will be back!

My family and I had such a wonderful time at Hunter and Emily’s place. The location is so pretty and also convenient to downtown, which had great shopping and food. The house itself had everything you needed, and more. Our dogs enjoyed their stay just as much and were able to swim in multiple waterfalls. Thank you for letting us create lifelong memories at your place!

Wonderful time in this home, tons of space and close to everything downtown. Lovely location with a peaceful dock to sit out for coffee. Home was comfortable and everything was as described. Thanks again!

Kerri’s place was just as described, super nice and clean with no issues whatsoever. She was extremely responsive and helpful when messaged. House is very nicely put together and has everything you’ll need. Great experience overall.

Heather’s place was a great retreat! The cabin was well appointed with interesting decor and a comfortable bed. She had everything one needs for a restful stay from the snacks in the cupboard to the drinks in the fridge. The shower had good water pressure with hot water. Plenty of clean, soft towels were set out ready for you. The landscape had to be my favorite! She takes great pride in offering a variety of flowering plants in the front garden. The moss garden was my favorite! It reminded me of my childhood and playing in the woods. The moss was always my carpet in my fairy home.😁 There are lots of seating outside to accommodate your nature soaking. It rained when we were there and so we did not use the fire chimney but it was a nice feature given the right time. We definitely be back to the Locust Log Cabin whenever we want a quick getaway. We had an exceptional stay at The Nest in Franklin. The cabin was gorgeous and very comfortable. Loved the uncluttered decor. The covered decks and view…amazing. Ian and Caroline were easy to contact and responded promptly to questions. Also appreciated that check out did not involve a long list of chores before we left. We enjoyed the privacy and beautiful scenery of the cabin and our trips to area towns and attractions kept us busy. Also we scouted many streams and rivers for fishing fun. Hope to return and stay at The Nest again!

We had a great stay at Carolyn’s cabin! It was away from everything, which some may not like, but that’s exactly how we like it. It forces you to get creative and just enjoy the simple things, like the sounds of nature. She had beautiful flowers and plants on the deck, which brought in lots of hummingbirds. The beds were comfy, the kitchen and bathroom had extras for you to use, along with high quality pots and pans. (Stainless steel is all we use). The drive was steep, but our truck did just fine. Our dog enjoyed it all as well. 🐾

My family and I stay for a week and we had the best time ever, enjoying the outdoors. can't wait to go again. Judy was amazing! she give us great directions including and app that we can use to go around because signal its very week in some areas, with very detailed instructions on how to set it app and use. I recommend it 100%

It was a very lovely time we spent at Deborah and Keith's cottage. The cottage was fully equipped with all the daily needs as well as books,games to spend the quality time.We could see the star studded sky at the night from the tiny balcony of the cottage. We could also binge watch our favorite shows on Netflix.That added up to a perfect gateway that we were looking for.

My wife and I have been spending time in the mountains for over 20 years. This is the first time we have been back to the same cabin more than once. As a senior citizen with hinky knees we have found this cabin easy to unload and reload our car; a few steps and we are on the porch. The cabin has been well stocked and very clean. Thanks for being so responsive.

A cute little cabin on the creek! Our family definitely loved it and we felt right at home. It’s a fisherman’s dream in a quaint little setting. The house is almost like stepping back in time. Not a bad thing, whatsoever! Every amenity you would need is there. William is very responsive and had great recommendations. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice cabin! Had everything we needed for our week stay. Another pot would be helpful, but we made do. Only other thing is the bathroom lock is pretty low, so be mindful of that if you have a toddler like mine that likes her privacy because she couldn’t get it back open, but it taught her not to do it again.

Second time at this magical place and it’s so hard to leave. We sit on the deck and just marvel at nature in utter peace and quiet.

We booked a last minute stay for spring break. It was exactly what we were looking for, quiet, peaceful, relaxing, with a little fun for all of us. We loved the creek running right outside the cabin next to the fire pit, made for an extra fun night next to the campfire! The cabin was exactly as described, spacious, clean, and had everything you needed for your stay. We would venture out to hiking trails during the day, then head back in to relax by the fire for the night. Cynthia had tons of suggestions and there was a binder on the table with local places, things to do etc. which made it very helpful.

Carlos was a wonderful and attentive host. His well stocked cabin was beautiful and had everything that we needed. The pictures on Airbnb didn’t do the property justice. It is the perfect, peaceful mountain get away. I slept better than I have in a long time. One day, I hope to have a cabin just like this one. 💜

Very cozy, clean, fully stocked and good location. Peaceful back porch overlooking a stream and mountains. The master bedroom is On the main road so a bit noisy with traffic. Back bedroom didn’t hear the cars. Nice place
