Mary went above and beyond to accommodate The cabin is adorable with lots of nice touches, and the outdoors areas are simply amazing. The closet kitchen is well supplied . We actually cooked all but two meals during our week-long stay. The bed is very comfortable. I highly recommend "The Bear's Den" for your stay in the Franklin, NC area.

Located in Franklin, NC, the Appalachian Tiny Home (the ATH) is an ideal base camp for every adventure, and is only 20 min. from the Nantahala nat'l forest. This tiny home has its own entrance as well as a deck, fire pit and fully-stocked wood shed. The nearby spring is a short walk down the hill, and it's the perfect place for foraging and rockhounding in the gem capital of the world.

It is a peaceful cabin to relax & enjoy the cool breezes and scenery of the Smoky Mountains.

Close to many activities including white water rafting, hiking, biking, waterfalls and scenic drives. 30 minutes to Highlands for great shopping & Dry Falls!

We are one hour from Asheville and half an hour to 45 mins to Bryson City, Cherokee, Maggie Valley, Cashiers and Highlands. Or go white water rafting, zip line or take a train ride from Nantahala.

Speckled Trout on the Tuck (Tuckasegee River)

Nearly new Park Model Cabin located on the banks of the Tuckasegee River, one of the best trout streams in NC! There is an easy access off Hwy. 107 S, about 5 miles from Cullowhee. It is close to many parks for hikiing and biking and lakes for boating and fishing. It has an all wood interior with a screened porch, picnic table , fire pit and charcoal grill. There is a nice walkway down to the river. Enjoy fishing, swimming and boating at this nice escape!

A cozy rustic hideaway with mountain valley views. it is stunning to watch the sun/moon rise from the deck or porch. Walk down the driveway to enjoy the bubbling creek or play in the field. Has a queen bed and a twin daybed. There is a cooktop, microwave, and small fridge, kitchen and a shower. I am pet friendly, but please enter them in your reservation so we can prepare for all of the guests.
