Holiday rentals with a kayak in Macon County

I can’t say enough about the property , it’s secluded but not to far out , my grandchildren loved it , plenty to keep them busy outside, the trails go everywhere and are safe , Their is even a suspension walkway / bridge over a creek , we fed the fish every day and had s’mores over the campfire , the house is perfect for a large family .it has everything you would need ,it appeared to be newly decorated with all new appliances, the home was very clean and ready when we arrived , We sat out on the wrap around porch at night and just listened to the sounds of the forest , the landscaping is amazing, i highly recommend this property , we would definitely return to this property , Tim

We had a great stay at Erin's home. The location on the lake was ideal, not far from the marina and had beautiful views at all angles of the home. The outside was serene and everywhere you looked were beautiful flowers. We loved our stay here and highly recommend.

Beautiful cottage on lake. Very peaceful and close to town. The home was clean with all amenities you would need. We so enjoyed sitting on the dock taking in the lovely surroundings. We look forward to booking in the future!

Absolutely stunning inside and out. I am not a prolific writer but I do have discriminating taste. This place checked all my boxes. Beautiful, peaceful, scenic, squeaky clean, spacious, accommodating, tastefully decorated, high end amenities, and idilic for eating in and eating out. Super host is a real super host. You Will not go wrong with this home. Personal guest touches throughout the property like magazines, games, phone chargers, and oh the great blankets!

Beautiful, secluded location. Perfect ti get away from it all. Make sure you bring anything you need with you, the closest town is 25 min away. Great hiking nearby.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. Along the Little Tennessee River was very peaceful, I only wish I’d brought a fishing rod. Instructions were clear, check-in was easy, and simple requests to follow upon our leaving. You will be just outside of Franklin, NC and central to many outdoor activities and places to eat and visit. I would definitely recommend a stay here and hopefully be able to book again when I’m back in the area.

This vacation involved checking out the area for an upcoming wedding. For the house, we wanted lots of space in the house and easy parking, bathrooms for each family group, family space to hang out, easy walking, and of course access to the lake. All of these happened plus great porch space with the firepit and also the outdoor firepit. The stairs to the lake provided a work out and planning for the day. That is the only consideration for others to be aware of, is if they have a family member that has issues with stairs. The area is beautiful and exactly what we hoped for and this home with the easy contact for any issues or questions made it a great week!

My family of four really enjoyed staying at Todd's. There was plenty of space inside and nature surrounding the house, and it was close enough to the things we wanted to explore in Highlands as well as Cashiers.

Great house! Loved the layout and the feel of the house! Robbin was very friendly and proactive in communicating. I very much appreciated the communication.

This was our second stay at Lake Song. The view is more beautiful than the pictures convey. It is 12 minutes to Cashiers for restaurants and shopping. Our favorite is Whiteside Brewery which is great for kids. Mandy makes you feel very welcome almost like you are staying at a close friends place. It is a very special place and we hope to return next summer.

I can’t express how nice this cabin is, it’s beautiful. Very nice decor and comfortable beds & furniture. The upstairs loft is so cozy! The deck was spacious and well maintained, the views of the mountains from the covered porch were pretty. Parking is easygoing, no steep driveway. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming! This cabin is not far from the main highway, makes travel easy to navigate the area and explore. The cabin is a few minutes drive from WCU, which is very convenient for anyone in town visiting their college kid. I enjoyed my stay, and I recommend this place a 100%.

Absolutely beautiful and peaceful location. We could have sat on the dock for days! The cabin was clean and kitchen was well equipped. You could easily stay here for days and never want to leave the lake!! The steps back up might be challenging but we enjoyed it and used them for a workout!

It is a beautiful location, a cozy house on the side of the river, and the groceries provided were a plus.

Another wonderful stay at this Nantahala cabin. It is remote, super clean, and had Starlink internet for us to use. We will continue to return to this cabin each year because it is a special location for us. Grab your groceries and firewood ahead of your trip and escape the hustle and bustle of our everyday lives here.

Caribou is a beautiful mountain retreat, and we loved our stay there! The mountain and lake views are panoramic from the wide, modern deck. The large windows/sliding doors in the living room, kitchen and master bedroom add to the bright, upbeat ambiance. The kitchen is well designed and equipped, with new appliances and a lovely dining space. Bathrooms are quite good. Lisa is wonderful to work with - super warm, communicative and responsive. We loved her. Notes: WiFi is great. There no real cell service on AT&T. We used WiFi enabled calling and What’s App as a work around. Bedroom #2 on the main floor floor is designed well but a bit dark in comparison to the bright, open spaces elsewhere. Bedroom #3, in the downstairs “Time Warp”, is quite private, with a comfortable loft bed (and a mini loft bed for small children), a nice bathroom, its own kitchen and seating area. It’s really like a studio apartment on the lower level, with its own door to the outside. With the original paneling and little natural light, is rather dark. But our teenager loved the cozy ambiance down there. Overall, highly recommend!

Beautiful cabin with tons of space. The pictures don’t even do this place justice. Plenty of room for large families, and there’s a lot for everyone to do. Host is very nice and responsive.

My brother and sister-in-law stayed here in March and loved it. Recommended to us because we are always looking for single-level places in the mountains and they are hard to find. The view was spectacular, landscaping beautiful, and the cabin layout was perfect for us. We typically stay around Bryson City, so it was fun to explore a new neck of the woods! Highly recommend 1016 Smokerise!

As the first guests of this wonderful house I can't say anything more than that the house is in a beautiful setting, a quiet and peaceful place, a private and closed area where the house is located, clean and very well equipped with top-shelf appliances, 3-4 families can easily rest and relax, plenty of space for walks and playing with children, a lake on the premises allows fishing.i highly recommend this house and the owner Keri is very communicative.I can't and don't want to say anything bad.Good luck and a nice rest for the next guests

We're so glad we chose Kathy's house for our time in the mountains. It was clean and well-equipped. Her instructions were very clear and she was easy to reach with questions. And the views! Gorgeous !

Mark’s place was perfect for our group of 6! Some highlights: the kitchen has everything you need to cook a full meal and the property feels nice and secluded without being far out or hard to get to. We would definitely stay here again!
