We are located 30 miles, an easy country drive, to Brookings/SDSU.Our farm is on a paved highway and you can enjoy a quiet walk to a beautiful country church just 1/8 mile away. We have an unattached garage that you can have access to use for a fee,

The Otters Den

The Property: Camping under the stars by the lake without the hassle! Cozy up around the Solo Stove smokeless fire pit while looking at the views of Tranquility Bay of Big Stone Lake. The Otters Den is centrally located adjacent to the lake on the South Dakota side between 2 public boat launches and close to Hartford Beach State Park. This private property offers a fully furnished camper with everything you need for a memorable adventure. This area is renowned for its fishing and hunting.

The Summer Kitchen

The Summer Kitchen is a restored building on our historic farm place. This open-concept space has a kitchen with a gas stove, and bottled water. 2 Beds are upstairs in a loft area. We are a real farm, no curtains on windows here! Nestled along the edge of the farm yard with a wooded area & trail. Propane-heated shower, and boat toilet. A farm experience can allow guests to help feed animals, gather eggs, or work in the garden, please ask. Deck/Firepit/seating with firewood nearby.

Cornfield Country House

Welcome to Cornfield Country House. 𝙎𝙀𝘾𝙇𝙐𝘿𝙀𝘿 & 𝙋𝙀𝘼𝘾𝙀𝙁𝙐𝙇 The Cornfield Country House is a newly remodeled 2600 square foot five bedroom, two bathroom farm house located in Westcentral Minnesota situated in the middle of a 640 acre. Located between Madison, Appleton, Milan, Dawson, Bellingham & Louisburg Minnesota. There are several attractions nearby, some of which include; Lac Qui Parle Lake, Appleton OHV/ATV Park & Lac Qui Parle County State public hunting ground.

Little Mill Road House

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. You can jump on a bike or take a walk on the tarred path located right across the road that leads into the Big Stone Refuge. Ortonville has Big Stone Lake great for fishing and our area is also awesome for hunting. We do allow pets but if left by themselves in the house please kennel them. There is one bedroom with a queen size bed and a murphy bed and futon in the living room. Plenty of parking for boats, trailers, etc.

Come enjoy our charming 19th century house on Big stone. One block off downtown Ortonville with lake access! Quiet bay 100 ft away from city park/ swim beach or city fishing pier. Come fish from your dock, swim on beach. Relax on one of 3 decks enjoying a sunset with friends and family! Take a kayak for a ride along the shoreline. Sit along shoreline with a campfire or relax in your spacious living dinning room with multiple windows to view the lake!

Lovely farmhouse out on the Tallgrass Prairie, surrounded by prairie habitat and wetlands. Large kitchen, dining room, three bedrooms, pullout couch. Fireplace, firepit in the back, and known for the dark night sky and star gazing. Nearby bike trails and a water trail for kayaking / canoeing nearby. A known 'stepping stone' for migratory waterfowl across North America. Peaceful, quiet, wide open spaces and great kite flying.

This has been a wonderful undertaking, preparing my rental house into an Airbnb. I saw lots of potential and need for guests to be able to have a clean, comfortable and super private, spacious living space for their stay while out and about on whatever they might be doing, whether it be visiting with family, out hunting, or on their road trip just exploring what Western Minnesota has to offer!
