"De Gulle pracht" Holiday home, Friesland

Our cozy vacation cottage, originally was an old stable that we (Caroline and Jan) converted together, with lots of love and respect for the old details and materials, into this "Gulle Pracht". Through a private driveway with parking, you reach the terrace with the spacious garden, a lawn with surrounding tall trees, where you can enjoy. Through the two French doors, you step into the bright and cozy living room with the white old beams and a fully equipped open kitchen. There is wireless internet available, TV and DVD. Because of the ceiling in the living room that has been removed, beautiful light falls in from the skylights and you have a view of the roof structure with the old round hoods. The beds are located on top of the two lofts. The comfortable double bed is accessed by an open staircase. The other loft, where a third or fourth bed can possibly be made, is only accessible by flexible guests via a ladder. It is not suitable for small children because of the danger of falling, but older children find it exciting to sleep there. Please note, the two lofts share the same large open space. Under the old beams, you can sleep peacefully, where only the sound of rustling trees, whistling birds or your deliciously snoring bedmate will be heard. The room is heated by central heating, but also only the wood-fired stove can heat the cottage comfortably. You will be provided with enough wood from us to start a cozy fire. Through an old stable door in the living room, you come to the bathroom with beamed ceiling and underfloor heating. The bathroom has a good shower, double sink and toilet. With its inlaid mosaics and all kinds of funny and old details, this space is also a feast for the eyes. There are two bicycles available for nice trips in the wider area (Harlingen, Franeker Bolsward). We may want to drop you off in Harlingen for a crossing to Terschelling. You can leave the car in our yard for a while. We, ourselves, live in the farmhouse which is in the same yard. We are available for help, information and advice for fun trips in our beautiful Friesland. Your cottage and our farmhouse are separated by our garden and the big old barn (with pool table), so we both have our own space and privacy. Kimswerd, located on the eleven city route is a small, quiet and beautiful village where our Frisian hero "de Grutte Pier" was born and lived. He still watches over us, in petrified form, at the beginning of our little street, next to the centuries-old Church, which is very much worth visiting as well. You can do your shopping in Harlingen, the supermarket is a fifteen minute bike ride away. The old port of Harlingen is 10 km from our cottage. Kimswerd is located just across the Afsluitdijk. From there, follow the signs N31 Harlingen/Leeuwarden/Zurich and take the first exit at Kimswerd, 1st right at the traffic circle, 1st right again at the next traffic circle, straight ahead at the intersection, across the bridge and immediately take the first left (Jan Timmerstraat). At the beginning of this street, next to the church, stands the statue of the Grutte Pier. We live in the farmhouse behind the church, Jan Timmerstraat 6, first wide gravel path on the right. - For small children, sleeping on the loft without a fence is not advisable because of the danger of falling. It's just fun for big kids, the loft is accessible by a ladder. Please note, it is 1 large open space upstairs with no privacy.

In the water sports village of Terherne on the Sneekermeer. The Kameleon adventure park, cafe, restaurants and the most beautiful church/wedding location in Friesland are just around the corner. You sleep on the ground floor (2 bedrooms + private bathroom + private kitchen + private large living room (50 m2) with high ceilings and fireplace. Private entrance. 3rd bedroom is upstairs via the front house. Outside by the water, your own terrace. Also suitable for group work with a large work table. Vintage, so beautiful, old and cozy. But not spotless.

Unique views from your apartment and terraces. The large terraces on three sides of the house are all yours, so you can always find a space in the sun or in the shade. The west side has an amazing view of the IJsselmeer, the other sides have excellent views too. Two small beaches at walking distance. Free Wifi. Hoeve Vertrouwen

You are welcome to stay on our organic snowdrop farm all year round. From December through April you will be able to enjoy thousands of snowdrops, stinsenplants, and a free tour around the nursery. We are far from the hustle and bustle of the city but still within easy reach of local towns, villages and attractions. The farm is a beautiful and quiet spot, in the middle of the Noord-Holland countryside of the Wieringermeer polder. Our own small green piece of paradise. We hope to see you soon!

Luka's Hut, eco-cabin with sauna by the river

Luka's Hut, our beautiful eco-cabin, sits on the banks of the Ganzendiep river in Overijssel. Huge windows provide stunning Dutch views onto the river, the grass meadows with cows & sheep and a picturesque village in the distance. The river is quiet water so have a sauna & a swim, take out the kayak, big canoe or SUPboard. We have a heatpump for the floor heating, and used upcycled items such a charming wood-stove, a fantastic bath, a fully-equipped kitchen, bikes, a firepit & trampoline.

The houseboat can be rented for people who want to go on holiday to Giethoorn, discover the Weerribben-Wieden National Park or just want to enjoy the peace and quiet. It's a new double apartment. It is an upper floor, with an easy and safe to enter wide staircase and a private entrance. You have no neighbors downstairs. It has a spacious balcony, where you can enjoy the beautiful views. In front of the house is a lake. It is located near to the Elfsteden town of Workum. Partly known for the Jopie Huismanmuseum. Also for kite-surfers it is nearby the Ijsselmeer. From this apartment you can enjoy beautiful cycling or hiking,or relax and enjoy.

This lovely cozy cottage is located in a beautiful location on the outskirts of the Frisian Noordwolde, where there are many birds to be seen. Fully furnished, with a cozy pellet stove and a wood-burning stove, this is really a place to relax and unwind! The cottage has its own fenced garden and borders a forest, where you can take a nice walk, and in the vicinity there are many more hiking areas. You can also walk from the cottage to a nice swimming lake in about 20 minutes.

Forest Cabin is a cosy eco-cabin for 2 persons, situated at the edge of the forest on our green campsite. The double bed of this eco-cabin is made for you on arrival and towels and kitchen linen are ready for you. Every morning we bring a delicious fresh and extensive breakfast to your door, including fresh bread from the local bakery, organic yoghurt and cheese from the carefarm, various juices and many other good things.
