Villa holiday rentals in Manuel Antonio

We had read reviews about wildlife and hoped, but it didn't disappoint. Daily Scarlet Mackaws, heard howler monkeys twice, saw a white faced monkey trying to get a lizard in the yard, squirrel monkeys in the canopy, iguanas, tree frog at night, and neighborhood dogs would visit each night randomly. Our kids loved the wildlife from the pool and searching around the property and neighborhood hikes to look for more. Not mentioned in the post- there is a washer and dryer in the basement area, along with wifi, outdoor shower to get off sand, and several grills to use. There was a wonderful gift basket when we arrived with pineapple the kids loved, coffee (so thoughtful), and local snacks. The AC in the rooms and fans worked great. The front gate was a nice feature for security (and keeping our kids in honestly). Great home and great location. Only downsides were depleted silverware for house with six people and hand washing dishes. Thanks for the flexible arrival and departure!

My family of 5 stayed here for Spring Break 2025 for 6 nights, and it was incredible! Maggy was super responsive, and Kenny the caretaker was amazing—he booked two tours for us and helped with anything we needed. The house is peaceful, private, and absolutely beautiful—set high in the hills with mango trees, hiking trails, and stunning views. The pool was perfect after a beach day or hike. We saw toucans and birds on property but missed the monkeys. The bedrooms have AC, which kept us cool at night. Downstairs can get warm, but fans and airflow instructions helped. One morning during our stay the master bedroom AC broke but Maggy got us fans and it was fixed by the next day. You’ll definitely need a 4x4 to get up to the house. Try to arrive during daylight—we were delayed and arrived after dark, which made it tricky. But we contacted Kenny and he came by motorbike to guide us the rest of the way! It’s about 30–40 minutes to Manuel Antonio. Highly recommend. Pura Vida

It was perfect! We were just 2 for a big place like but wanted full privacy and is in a gated community with a guard. It has very beautiful tropical landscaping, birds everywhere, ocean views from the pool, and we slept like babies. We only used the top floor bedroom, which also has a kitchenette, but used the big kitchen outside. It is fully equipped with gas stove, and 2 bbq's. There's a waterfall in the community with 2 natural pools to swim. Beautiful beautiful! I appreciated the easy self check in, it was simple and did not have to get through bunch of boring explanations (lol). We felt right at home, and will be back soon :)

Lorna and Frank are great hosts. House is beautiful on the side of the hill right in the tropical forest. You have your private Toucans who welcome you every morning on the Papaya tree next to the pool. Views are stunning especially early morning (6am). We loved that house is very bright, so we could spot every little bug that decided to visit us. Extremely clean. Besides toucans there is plenty to watch. No spoilers here. YES you need 4 wheel drive car. Especially in the rainy season. YES you really need it. Can you make it with 2wd? You can when it’s dry. But after rain you won’t make it up the hill. Bring the binoculars. Yes you need them. Good flashlight might be useful as well. Pretty frequent, but usually short power outages. Dominical beach is not that great - but Uvita and Manuel Antonio are both stunning. Do the Rainmaker, you won’t regret a dime. On the way up to Platanillo the first fruit stand on the right is great and with local prices. We had wonderful time!

We stayed at this property for several days and we couldn't be more grateful for the attention we received. From the first moment, the host was always available, attentive and willing to help us with any questions or needs we had. He responded quickly and with total clarity, which gave us a lot of peace of mind throughout the stay. The house is as shown in the photos: comfortable, clean, well-equipped and surrounded by nature. Ideal to rest and enjoy the surroundings. We recommend this accommodation without hesitation, especially for the hospitality of the host, who made us feel completely welcome. ¡We would come back without thinking twice!

This stay was beyond perfect. The home was spotless, beautifully designed with high ceilings and seamless indoor-outdoor living thanks to massive sliding doors. It was stocked with everything imaginable—top-notch cookware, quality toiletries, even thoughtful touches that made it feel like home. With a child in tow, we appreciated how safe and comfortable the space was. You’re tucked into the rainforest mountains, so brief water or power outages can happen—something we expected and which was well communicated. It didn’t impact our stay in the slightest. Just be sure to have a 4x4 to access the area. Karl and Ivonka have truly created an oasis—every detail made us feel welcomed and cared for. If you’re like us and debating where to stay, trust that this one is even better than the photos. Nearby, Tagua Café is a gem, and the surrounding waterfalls and restaurants made the trip even more special. Truly unforgettable. Thank you!

I have rented houses in the Dominical/ Uvita/ Ojochal over a dozen times and Roberto and Diana's place has been my favorite by far. Not only is the property extremely unique in it's design and layout, it's amenities, location and incredible view is unmatched. Typically speaking, in this area of Costa Rica, a house with a view this amazing will require a 10 - 15 minute drive up hill. This house is a 5 minute drive from so much and within 20 minutes of everything we wanted to do. This made traveling with kids so easy and allowed us to really explore the area while also relaxing at the house often. This house is more than worth it, especially for the reasonable nightly rate in comparison to similar properties. Pura Vida 🌴

I have stayed in dozens of Airbnbs around the world and this one was absolutely immaculate and quite possibly my favorite. The property itself has been curated with deep intention and an artistic eye. It was the first time I have ever stayed in an Airbnb that truly exceeded the expectations portrayed in the already beautiful photos. The views are some of the best I’ve ever seen, the house is stunning and impressive and brought together with a truly designer flair to it. Every detail was thoughtful and of quality. Pascal and Virginie were wonderful hosts and the home cooked breakfast they offer is phenomenal and as gorgeously prepared with the same attention to detail that the property boasts. I will be retuning and recommending this property to friends as family as well!

This is a beautiful place located in the jungle of Uvita. If you are scared of bugs and animals this place is not for you. With a dope open architect design you will feel like you’re in nature!

Trip Dates: 5-30-25 / 6-8-25 Our stay at the Jungle Roost was amazing and enjoyed by all members of our family, (2 Adults & 2 Teenage Daughters, 15 & 17). Ismael provided awesome concierge service and went above and beyond to make our trip effortless and enjoyable. Communication was excellent from the time of booking until the day we headed home. Ismael helped arranged multiple services and activates/outings prior to our arrival, which was very helpful. Ismael was attentive and responsive to all needs and checked in regularly to ensure everything was satisfactory, and provided assistance whenever needed. I just want Ismael to know that we appreciated his professionalism and dedication to going the extra mile to ensure that we had a great experience during our vacation. Can't say enough about the Villa, beautiful surroundings, private, wildlife galore, we really enjoyed the privacy and the daily visits from the monkeys, birds and lizards and much more. Highly recommended the Roost.

What a house!! This was 100% perfect for our group of 8 adults! The location provides a gorgeous view of the ocean as well as wildlife up close…all 3 monkey species, the macaws & parakeets flying overhead & we even had a sloth outside our front door. The location is walking distance to the super or mini markets as well as many restaurants & bars; it’s a quick ride to the National park & beach. Had a few maintenance issues, which were taken care of quickly. The only downfall is the incredibly steep driveway to the house; it’s no joke! We met our excursion transportation & Ubers at the top of our driveway ( but within our “neighborhood”.) Those with mobility issues will definitely have trouble navigating it. This house has maid & laundry service as well as a safe in most of the rooms. We had a chef come into the villa three times. Chef Tito who was the recommended chef was already booked, so he had Chef Gerald take care of us. He was excellent. Highly recommend the villa.

Really special place!! The views are incredible and we saw so much wildlife from our beautiful wrap-around deck and the pool area, including monkeys, scarlet macaws and agoutis. Loved the privacy and serenity of the villa, but was a short walk to the Mariposa hotel. Would definitely stay here again!!

This place is amazing. The views are spectacular! Jorge showed us around as soon as we arrived and was very informative. We saw Toucans from the pool area and heard the Howling Monkeys early in the morning. You will need a 4x4 to get up to the house, the road can difficult if it's raining. The bedrooms have A/C, but the main area with the kitchen does not. Because of this you will need to open the doors completely and this does cause bugs to be attracted to the lights in the house especially at night. It would have been nice to be able to close the screen to prevent spiders and flying bugs inside the house, but it was locked. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels and a washer and dryer if needed. The pool was too cold for us to get into, but that would have been an amazing experience as well. Just FYI, they have cameras around the entire outside. Front and back, so when you are outside enjoying the views they will have access to the area.

Beautiful home. One of the nicest I have stayed in. Pool is spectacular! The View is incredible. Staff is top notch. My recommendation for grocery would be BM in Dominical. Restaurants at the Marina in Quepos. And Restaurants in Ojchal. Please Note if you want to go to the Manual Antonio park you need to make online reservations. We found out the hard way and was not able to go see it plus it is also closed on Tuesdays. I would highly recommend this home.

We were staying at a nearby Airbnb when it lost power. I found Lizette’s place and messaged asking if they had power. She was quick to respond that they did. Their self check in option made our emergency last minute check in a breeze. Any time we needed something she was so quick to respond. The place itself is in an insanely gorgeous location. It’s a gated community and very safe. Beautiful sunrises/sunsets overlooking the ocean. We saw coati and iguanas. The place was incredibly clean. Like immaculate, really. It’s nearby to everything you need, about 3 minutes to town. Could not recommend this place enough it was an absolutely dream!

Mandel was a very responsive host and dealt with any issues we had, minor or not, very quickly. The area was beautiful and the view from the bedrooms was breathtaking. We enjoyed the amenities and especially the pool. For us, a group of 4 couples, the rooms being in a seperate side from the main house worked very well. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the area felt very safe, lots of things were within walking distance. Thanks again Mandel!

We just came back from a week in the beautiful rainforest villa…it was heaven on earth! What an absolutely gorgeous property. Comfy beds, wonderful space for 4 kids and four adults (could’ve fit another family too), daily macaw and toucan visits on the balcony, wonderful housekeeping and the best pool. From the moment we booked, Hazel reached out to help us seamlessly setup all transportation and activities. She was proactive, very communicative and had everything setup for us without issue. Jorge then met us at the home to welcome us and was available for anything we needed throughout the trip. Jorge and Hazel made our trip so easy and fun…thank you! We hope to return again in the near future…absolutely loved our trip!

This home exceeded our expectations in every way. The photos do not do it justice. It was my wife and I, her parents, and our two children (7 and 9). The view is amazing, it's kept wonderfully clean with daily maid service, our laundry was done daily, the pool and hot tub were perfect to enjoy the view, a great gym/workout area, the "crow's nest" for coffee, the kitchen has top of the line appliances, we saw animals and birds around daily (monkeys, macaws, parrots, toucans). The home is 3 separate living spaces, it worked perfect for our group and everyone had their own space (with kitchen and bathrooms) to hang out but the main living room and kitchen were big enough for everyone to come together to cook, eat, play cards and hangout. TONS of space outside to linger around, hangout and relax. The home felt very safe! Ownership communicated wonderfully, messages, recommendation requests or questions were quickly answered. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you!

Hillary and Johnny were amazing hosts. Very responsive and attentive to our needs. Always easy to reach and quick to respond. Helped to curate and make this one of our most memorable trips. The property is absolutely amazing. The views are stunning. The drive up the road and the driveway into the home is not for the weak at heart, but it is well worth the effort. My husband and I have stayed in Costa Rica multiple times and this is one of our favorite locations. Road was in much better condition than many of the other roads we have traveled in the past.Hillary helped arrange groceries to be delivered to the Villa prior to our arrival as well as directed us for local private chefs, and private in Villa massages. They were readily available for any needs that arose while we were there. It should be doubted that there are only curtains in one bedroom however that was not a drawback for us. We enjoyed and welcomed the early morning sunrise to allow us to explore and make the most of our tr

The stay here was great and plenty of space for bigger families or multiple families. Plenty of towels for bathrooms and separate ones for the pool. It was clean and if needed, housekeeping is available M-F daily. We requested access to the laundry room to do our own and that was great, so we didn't have so much to do upon our return home. The kitchen was equipped nicely; however, we did need to purchase our own spices/seasonings (i.e. salt and pepper), which would've been nice to have on hand. The host was very helpful in planning and arranging tours and Eddie, the concierge, was very responsive and helpful during our entire stay. We loved the window seats, but would've been more comfortable to sit in with some type of cushioning. Overall, I would recommend this place and stay here again!

Our family of 6 stayed at this house very comfortably. Mefi was great! He met us there on the first day to show us the house and the last day to see us off! He was available by messaging the entire trip. He also gave fantastic restaurant recommendations and arranged all transportation and various excursions. An added bonus was the cleaning ladies and “laundry fairies “ that cleaned and did our laundry during our stay. The location is up a pretty steep and winding hill, so I recommend taxis, but the view from the porch was worth it. My 4 teenage kids awoke most days at 5 am to bird watch the entire time we were here! The macaws put on a fantastic show! The pool was also very inviting and refreshing after a day out exploring. Highly recommend. One of our favorite vacations as a family:)
