Being pet friendly and having a large fenced in area for them to run around in was very nice.

Wonderful place to stay. We met some less than ideal weather for adventuring with our 2 year old and couldn’t have picked a better spot to lay low for a couple nights. The space is beautiful and yet the setting steals the show. The team is working very hard to ensure the experience of staying at Ridge on the Chimney is a once in a lifetime.

We stayed for long term due to work in the area and Paul was an excellent host. Would highly recommend this place to stay in the area. Very comfortable and clean.

Beautiful place, really makes you feel like luxury living but total privacy & incredible views. Pictures don’t do justice. So happy we found this place to enjoy our relaxing weekend !

The Islander Lodge was everything we could have wanted for our stay. The location is very rural (42 kms outside Antigonish in mostly cottage country), the "cottage" is really a log house ( a beauty), modern, immaculate and pristine. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck under the stars and listening to the hoots of owls nearby. We didn't use the kayaks but they are provided along with life jackets. The beautiful lodge is exactly as described,inside and out. It's magazine gorgeous and had everything we needed. We had loads of privacy and were reassured the host would be around if needed. My only two suggestions would be to bring your own drinking water as this area has very hard water. And don't forget your security code instructions (ha) so you dont inadvertently get locked out. ( my wife has a good memory thankfully ha). We HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend these exceptional accommodations in West Lochaber.

We loved our stay at Paul’s place. It was clean, comfortable, and close to beaches and places to eat. He answered any questions or small issues we had promptly and was very communicative.

Very Beautiful & Clean Cottage! We enjoyed ourselves a lot. My 5 year old was very say to leave.

The cabin is one of four cabins - probably very convenient if traveling with a group. It overlooks a water inlet. The cabin is well kept up but fairly basic in terms of dishes, etc. There is a beach nearby but we didn't visit it due to the mosquitos.

Great spot that the humans and dog enjoyed! They have everything you need for a weekend away.

Can't say enough about Jay and this place - this has been one of my favourite AirBnb experiences to date. The property is expansive and stunning, with beautiful walkable charming footpaths through the woods to the ocean, and a real sense that Jay stewards over the land with love. The little cabin feels spacious, cozy, uncluttered, homey, and private. Attention to detail like the tone of the lights/ambience, woodland themes while maintaining a fresh, clean and tidy space. I can see how this place would be a welcome reprieve at any time of year and look forward to returning. Jay's hospitality is second to none as well!!

Absolutely lovely spot to stay. Very unique experience with picturesque surroundings. Seems very well managed with a very helpful / personable host. We could absolutely see ourselves selecting Sally's Brook again on another Cape Breton adventure. 100% recommend if your looking for a cabin experience!

Absolutely stunning - my husband and I stayed here for three nights and couldn’t get over the view. We watched the sunset from three different locations each night … all beautiful. That alone would make this place a must stay, but layered on top are gorgeous accommodations with all the modern touches! Can’t wait to visit again.

We had an amazing stay at this cozy Airbnb in Cheticamp, Cape Breton! The location was perfect — just minutes from the Cape Breton Highlands National Park entrance, making it ideal for exploring the west side of the park with our two young kids (ages 3 and 5). During our stay, we explored Cheticamp Island and walked to the lighthouse (we even saw cows grazing by the water!). We visited the La Mi-Carême Mask Museum, which is nestled in a beautiful scenic area. We spent a couple of days hiking family-friendly trails in the national park like MacIntosh Brook, Le Buttereau, and Mackenzie Falls — all very doable with young kids. We also made a day trip to Inverness Beach, which was a perfect spot for the kids to play and unwind. We ended our trip by doinf the Gypsum Mine Trail. Also, do not miss baked goods at Aucoin Bakery The host went above and beyond, providing us with personalized local tips, including handwritten maps that helped us find the best hidden gems. The home was clean!!

We loved our stay! The location is amazing - right on the Cabot Trail and super close to so many different hikes! The view out on the water was the perfect way to start every day and end every night. Would absolutely recommend?

This home was everything I could have asked for. It was cozy, private and the views were outstanding. Mabou is a beautiful area. Perfect place to rest and slow down from a busy life. Dave was very very responsive and helpful with suggestions. I would highly recommend staying here. Best bnb experience we have had.

This is a little sanctuary with tranquil surroundings and a very lovely cottage. It’s better than the photos can capture. It felt immediately welcoming. The kitchen was perfect and the bed was gorgeous. I didn’t want to get up. The balcony is a great addition- a beautiful view.

It’s a beautiful spot. It’s quiet and private. We enjoyed the string lights that added a nice touch. The cabin was very cute and very comfortable and everything was super clean. There was a beautiful short walk down to the waterfront which was stunning at sunset and you could see up the coast and see the highlands which were also beautiful. All around it’s a beautiful spot that I’d definitely recommend.

We enjoyed our stay at Keith's cabin. It was comfortable and stocked with salt & pepper, dishwashing soap, cooking oil, paper towel, shower soap, body wash which were all very nice to have and were a surprise. It was a cool, rainy 10 days for us but the cabin is heated with a heat pump and kept the cabin at a comfortable temperature. Keith was very responsive to any questions or requests we had. Easy access when we arrived late. They turned on the lights and the heat pump so that when we walked in, we felt very welcome. The internet worked great. We recommend staying at Keith's cabin.

Our stay here was absolutely fantastic. The view from the property is beautiful and we throughly enjoyed watching the sunset from the patio each night. It was the perfect destination if you are travelling with a partner, friends or family. The neighbours next door are phenomenal people and the property still feels very private even though it is on shared land. The only thing that was more challenging was the access to the water. You have to climb down a bit of a hill to access the water since the stairs have been damaged from the winter. We were able to figure it out with a 3 and 8 year old in tow but it definitely took two adults to assist. My children did find that part exciting though. The beach is beautiful and rocky, so be sure to bring your water shoes. The cottage is beautiful and newly renovated. They make it feel like a home away from home. 100% would stay here again and we were very sad to leave when our trip ended.

Great location with an absolutely breathtaking view over Chedabucto Bay. The home is a very traditional style cabin with some very unique carpentry that made it feel special. We used the location as a base to conduct some work in the area and were always happy to get back to start a cozy fire.
