Our stay at Luís's place was unbeatable. The place is very clean and tastefully decorated. It is not missing any detail and it is all as and how it is shown in the pictures. We enjoyed a lot of the pool and the good weather. Luís is a 10 host, very attentive, willing and friendly. We will definitely come back and do not hesitate to recommend it! The house is spacious, beautiful, well decorated and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The garden is very pleasant and provided some good evenings playing cards with the family. The location is quiet, but close to beautiful areas to visit (if you are by car). An excellent choice for a few days of rest, with the beauty of the green and the river.

There are accommodations that leave a mark. This is one of them. Starting with the warm welcome from the owners who welcomed us in person. They explained everything. The house is beautiful and comfortable. A house that has been in the family for 200 years but renovated and very well preserved. Exquisite decoration of precious family objects. A beautiful swimming pool and diverse spaces to enjoy the house. The pool room is a spectacle. The chapel is a beautiful surprise. In addition, the orchard and the garden with various fruits and vegetables give that feeling of being able to feed yourself naturally. The tours and trails around the extensive property allow us to have healthy moments. In addition to the sheep, chickens and rabbits that are part of the countryside experience. A cozy space to have comfort among friends and connect with the tranquility of nature. We intend to return.

The house has a beautiful view, it was clean and they even left us some treats. The communication was excellent, super responsive and friendly. The neighbors are also very friendly and helpful.

Everything perfect, great quick host to answer and clarify all doubts, during the stay she was very attentive (booking in the restaurant to eat, giving us coffee capsules etc.). The house is equipped with everything you'll need. Fantastic pool. Very large farm, our dog also really enjoyed it. Highly recommended, if we come back to the area someday.

The place is very nice, the house is very nice, comfortable, spacious. The kitchen is very well equipped. We were very comfortable. The only thing I could say is that it would be good to have shampoo and bath gel in the bathroom, even if it's just for the first day. But, we talked to the host and he solved the problem immediately and kindly, which is to be thanked. In short, we would not hesitate to return.

Thank you for this stay was lovely, we drove our car to the property accompanied by Rui and Isabella, only because our car is 4WD, the house is just beautiful, there is no one nearby and very quiet. There are also two bathtubs that need to be heated and enjoyed, it's very cool and relaxing! The house in person is much more cozy and beautiful than in the photos, it is a delight. It was especially nice that when I received a burn through my own fault in the bathroom in the closet there was a burn remedy, this is a very safe and cozy house.

The stay went very well, we were very well received. The spaces were very pleasant and suitable for socializing, playing and enjoying the pool and the entire surrounding environment.

Peter is a charming host; attentive, cares about you, adorable while being discreet. He offers good advice. Regarding the accommodation, nothing to complain about, everything is impeccable, clean, and the view is breathtaking. It's ideally located. Ines and her mother looked after us incredibly well during our stay. We were welcomed to the property by the friendly face of Ines' mother and she showed us around all of the property and grounds. Once we had the tour and knew where everything was, the hosts vacated the property and left us in privacy. The property is stunning and the pictures truly do not do it justice. The pool was a sun trap, the grounds we beautiful, we even forgot to buy lemons for cocktails but the property even has a lemon and orange tree to solve our problem. There is nothing that this property doesn't have. If it's not there, you don't need it. Thank you so much to everyone at Quinta de Gatao for looking after us. We will be back for sure.

The stay was great. A big old house, full of history and unbeatable views. Alexandre offered us a lot of information about places to go and eat, but we opted to enjoy the house, its garden and pool. Julia was also very friendly and a good cook.

A great house in a beautiful location where you can unite with the mother nature. Américo and Rosalina are very nice hosts. They waited for our late arrival at 10pm to greet us and show the place, making the check-in process as smooth as possible. The house and the yard are very cozy, having a lot of lovely little details. The surrounding nature is gorgeous; the pictures do not show the real beauty. You can see the Milky Way in the night sky, and the morning fog covering the mountains is just stunning. We got the fresh bread in the morning at the gate, which was very delicious. Driving to Porto, Pinhão, and Guimaraes, is about one hour as part of the road goes via a serpentine road with amazing views. We were a company of four adults and two kids, and everything was great. The kids had fun swimming in the pool. I wish we could stay longer at Américo's place. We definitely highly recommend his house!

Host was excellent to communicate with . Views were spectacular and the garden and surroundings were very tranquil . An abundance of fruit to pick from the orchard and the Pool was clean and maintained. A great place which is so pet friendly. The only downside is the barking of dogs around the property which at night may disturb the light sleeper . Overall a superb place to stay .

Antonio has been very kind and responsive attentive. The house was clean, tidy and full of details. We leave the refrigerator medium full of useful things. a great trip in a good place.

Very nice house with everything you could want for a quiet and comfortable stay in a beautiful surroundings and amazing view. We were a group of 7 people and we enjoyed every minute staying in the house, making good use of the pool, outside area, kitchen and bbq. Jose Manuel and Sofia were great hosts, providing good and swift answers eveytime we needed. Short note regarding driving. The roads in this side of Portugal can be curvy with a lot of hills, so we recommend taking good time and drive slowly. Apple and Gggle Maps can be a little tricky in this side of the world as sometimes it can take you to narrow streets only because it makes the route shorter by few meters so usually it is best to stay on roads marked as national roads (N***).

Our stay in this house was really fantastic! The house itself was amazing and offered incredible tranquility. The hostess is one of the friendliest people we have ever met. Upon arrival we could easily park our car in the driveway of the hostess's house. She was so thoughtful in helping us get our luggage to the vacation house. To get to the house, you walk through a beautiful vineyard. This walk is an experience in itself, the surroundings are breathtakingly beautiful. Once we arrived at the cottage, we were treated to an amazing view of the vineyard. The house itself is cozy and comfortably furnished, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. There is a swimming pool within walking distance of the house, located on a hill. The pool is beautiful, surrounded by nature, and it was wonderful to spend time there with the family. All in all, this house was really a highlight of our first holiday in Portugal. We can recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet place to stay!

We had a perfect week in Nogueira. The house is spacious, large, quiet. The vegetation is lush, flowers, trees, fruit trees. And what to say about the view and the pool ... I can only highly recommend this rental. Thanks to Benedita and José for their availability and advice. We'll be back I hope to come back!

The listing was as pictured and described It's absolutely stunning The setting is exceptional with this incredible view of the Douro. The house is very well maintained. Very well equipped. A lot of character with its large windows. A stunning garden and pool. Amazing calm too If you have to visit the most touristic places such as Porto you are on average 1 hour from everything. But it's clearly stated in the listing that we are far away so it was no problem for us. We were able to take advantage of every day to explore the surrounding area. Our host welcomed us at the indicated time. There is a lot of flexibility for check-in and check-out times. Thank you so much to our hosts who took time to welcome us and respond to our needs and questions. To summarize, we hope to be able to return to this beautiful area and this beautiful house one day. We were delighted with our stay. The house was clean, the view of the Douro Valley is simply fantastic, from the veranda, from the pool, from the pergola facing the kitchen… heavenly. Some neighbors, but the vegetation isolates well, the garden is large. When the vegetation has grown a little at the end of the pool, it will be really perfect!

1st off, wow wow wow! what a beautiful villa. We Landed wel ahead check-in time & Jose rang on route and was very accommodating to allow to get in early. The Views when we got out the car were breath taking, the villa itself is beautiful too, so spacious, traditional Portuguese deco and you could tell this home is loved so much. We felt at home. So peaceful, we hired a car and the Intermache supermarket is worth a trip to stock up, only 13 mins drive. So many beautiful walks too. The local wine is a must too! We will absolutely return. My stay at Francisco and Clara’s beautiful home was truly memorable. The stunning views of the Douro River from the multiple terraces, combined with the peaceful surroundings, made it a perfect getaway. The house is well-equipped, with spacious rooms and a fantastic pool area that we enjoyed throughout our stay. Francisco and Clara were incredibly welcoming, even providing a thoughtful welcome basket and daily fresh bread delivery. Their hospitality and the charm of the house made us feel right at home.
