Cottage holiday rentals in Margaree Forks

We booked super last minute so we could stay longer in town to visit my grandparents - we were beyond pleased with our stay! We had asked the host if there was any stores near by as we weren’t familiar with the area just to grab the kids some hot dogs but nothing was close nor near by and the host actually came down with hot dogs, buns and ketchup for my kids! Such a sweet gesture!!! The cabin was adorable - above expectation! Will definitely book again!

Kirk and Kelley were very welcoming and lovely. The cottage was easy to locate and had some stunning views of the mountains and the lake. Thank you for hosting us and would indeed return for another get away in the future.

My family and I had a great time at Amber’s place and would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice, clean place to stay while visiting Inverness.

We rented all 5 for a work event. Everyone loved the cottages and all want to return. Beautiful pristine cottages , excellent for accessing Cabot , which some of the group did. Cottages have everything you need and more. So cozy , modern and clean We have been fortunate enough to do many team events and everyone agrees this was one of the best. So private yet so close to all the activities the town has to offer. Do not hesitate to stay here. It is my second time and now trying to arrange a 3rd friends group in the fall. It is amazing and you will not be disappointed!

We loved staying here for one night while we golfed. The proximity to everything in town is great! We loved enjoying the hot tub overlooking the course and ocean. I would highly recommend to anyone traveling to this area, we plan to be back!

Situated meters from the water, our cabin was a perfect couples get away. Thoughtfully appointed, extremely clean and above all very private. Although there are a couple of cabins on the property, there never was a time where we felt the presence of others. The hot tub privacy and views are amazing, and our hostess was very responsive. Above all, definitely a stay we want to do again. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone wanting to experience a natural and private couples retreat.

Nice, private accommodation right on the road through town, next door to a small grocery store. Hot tub was a welcome treat after a day on the trails. Suite was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed including real cream for our morning coffee.

We had a wonderful family vacation at Macloud Cove. My niece and nephews enjoyed playing in the water. I enjoyed drinking tea on the deck. Everyone enjoyed how close it was to the Cabot Trail and Sydney. It was lovely. Highly recommend it.

Lovely location - even though it was cool, we made a point of sitting outside to enjoy the beautiful view. (Which we could also appreciate as soon as we woke in the morning). We had one very minor issue with the toilet and Janet responded immediately to resolve it.

Very charming, spotless and cozy cabin with all amenities you could wish for. I unfortunately stayed only one night as I was on my to the Cabot Trail (perfect location to start btw). Highly recommend!

Isabelle’s family vacation cottage had generations of charm; from the well stocked kitchen ( with fun cookbooks detailing Acadian recipes like oat cakes!) and child friendly spaces/activities/games. The back porch was comfortable with warming afternoon sun/ fantastic sunsets and the backyard private with a great trail for quick walks with our dog. We walked the trail to the nearby beach and collected many beautiful rocks and driftwood. The location was great for exploring the Cabot Trail. Highly recommend White Point trail at the top of the island- the best beach and views!!! Our three nights flew by!

Terri’s place was very clean and easy to find. Exactly as mentioned in ad…. I would like to visit again if I get opportunity again. She was quick in responding to any queries that we had. Thanks

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at Kim and Mark’s cottage in Lake Ainslie. Kim and Mark are attentive, responsive, and considerate hosts. The location is perfect - far enough away from the nearest town to be peaceful, but close enough to all the amenities we needed. I would highly recommend a stay at this small retreat.

We had a fantastic stay at Marcies! The cabin was cute and clean, but we spent most of our time admiring the beautiful view and wildlife from the observation deck and exploring the beach. When we did spend time inside the screen room and sun room were perfect. The location was unbeatable, and the beach and gravel road was manageable in our VW golf. Check in/out was easy and Marcie was a great host, she was quick to respond anytime we needed something and provided lots of helpful information about the area.

This is the second time we’ve stayed here. It is such a perfect place that has everything you need and more. A short walk to the beach, and close to all restaurants and to the national park. It is dog friendly which is always a bonus! Thank you for a wonderful week.

We had a fantastic time at the Doyle Beach House! Staying there was the perfect way for us to end our Nova Scotia trip as it offered a a great place to relax and as a base for us to explore Cape Breton Island and the Cabot Trail. The beach is at the bottom of the garden and was perfect for our children with calm shallows and soft sand but also with areas of stones for exploring. The location of the property is perfect for access to the beach at anytime of the day for walks and play and is also a short drive away from restaurants and grocery stores. The sunsets are amazing either from the deck or even from inside and watching over the water was a nightly routine. We couldn’t recommend this property and the hosts more and would love to return in the future.

Stop and book now, the view is GORGEOUS, BREATHTAKING, you almost don’t want to leave it’s so beautiful. This place is way bigger than you think as portrayed in the pictures. Very Very clean, cozy and comfy beds. Looks as shown but more roomier and has that modern cottage feel. All is there kitchen needs, and nice amenities as soap and shampoo. Lynette is a fabulous communicator and if something were out of sorts she’d be on it but we had a perfect stay. Best place to relax, enjoy, and explore Cape Breton. This place deserves a 5 million star review, highly recommend!!!

beyond our expectations! Really clean, tight and cozy. Never imagined such clean, cozy cottage hidden in the woods. Katherine was extremely supportive! Best 2 day visit! love it.
