Enjoy your stay in this simple flat in an old house between Hieflau at the Enns river and Eisenerz, the medieval mining town for iron. Listen to the rushing Alpine river Erzbach; climb some peaks in the surrounding Alps or swim in the lake Leopoldsteinersee in a 10km bike ride on a cycle path. Update June 2025: works started to build a water power station on the river below the house. As a result there might be noise between 6:30am and 4pm on weekdays while the river bank is not accessible.

This modern cabin is located in the Semmering UNESCO world heritage area of Semmering. The first mountain railway in the world was built 1854 and is still in service. You have stunning views from the house, constantly you can observe the changing moods of nature and see how light is sculpting the rocks and ridges of the Atlitzgraben. One feels like being included in a painting of Caspar David Friedrich... There are plenty of possibilities for walking, skiing and mountain biking.

Through the beautiful large linden trees and open views to the mountains, you feel completely secluded, even though the village of Mürzsteg is quite close. Dingelberghof offers tranquility and relaxation, where deer often wander into the open garden. Despite the peaceful setting, it’s just one hour from Vienna Central Station, with good rail and road connections. The 130 sqm guest suite has a romantic courtyard on one side and a private garden with a sauna and shower on the other. The 16th-century walls, with vaulted ceilings in the kitchen and bathroom, create a unique atmosphere.

Fußläufig findet man sowohl die Skipiste der Bürgeralpe samt Skischule (ca. 3 Min.), als auch Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (Spar, Billa). In ca. 5 Minuten erreicht man den wunderschönen Erlaufsee (mit dem Auto), das Zentrum von Mariazell mit seiner schönen Basilika und einigen Geschäften schafft man in ca. 25 min zu Fuß.

From May to September, relax in the heated pool and soak up the sweeping views. Heading to the slopes? A shuttle to the Puchenstuben ski area (15 min away) is available for a small fee.
