Just 25 minutes from Skövde (1h by train to Gothenburg) and Mariestad, it’s perfectly placed for exploring Sweden’s biggest lake, Vänern, and Billingen, a UNESCO Global Geopark offering great skiing in winter. Enjoy birdwatching at Lake Östen on the bird towers near by, stroll through our garden, or unwind in the yoga cottage by the water. The forests nearby offer berries and mushrooms.

The gem of Norra Vätättern

On a ridge overlooking northern Lake Vättern's beautiful archipelago lies our modern, newly built holiday home with large social areas and a fantastic ceiling height with nice light inputs. Here a slightly larger group/family can find recovery with proximity to nature yet it is only 10 minutes by car to the beautiful small city of Askersund. Tivedens National Park is close as well as the long sandy beach Harjebaden. The house was completed in autumn 2018 and has all amenities.

Sjönära stuga i Brommösund 25 minuter utanför Mariestad med närhet till Vänern på ön Torsö med bad, sjöutsikt, tystnad, vandring & båtutflykter. Mysig stuga med delvis sjöutsikt och en vacker vy över omgivande natur och ängar, 6 bäddar i två stugor, stor altan, grill, vedspis och 150 meter till badstrand. Möjlighet att hyra en mindre båt finns. Nära vandringsleder, restaurang, naturreservat och djurliv. Sängkläder, handdukar och parkering ingår.

The house was renovated in 2017 and impresses our guests with its interior design. Here, solo travelers, couples and families alike feel comfortable. There is also the possibility for befriended travelers to rent the neighboring beach cabin and Kilstrand house at the same time and thus be on the go with friends and still maintain their retreat option. Here there is peace and quiet, in surroundings that seem to come from an Astrid Lindgren fairy tale. You live next door to fields, forests and pastures, at the foot of Kinnekulle. The cottage is directly adjacent to the Vänerleden and 1.5 km away connects to the Biosfärleden. Proximity to Kinnekulle's hiking trails, mountain bike tracks and cultural attractions. Both Skara Sommarland and Läckö Castle are within a few miles.

A typical charming Swedish red cottage in lovely surroundings. Around 15 min walk to a beautiful lake Toften. Swimming, fishing, birdwatching, hiking, mountainbike ride, ice skating in the winter. Fully equipped house with all year around standards that can accomodate 6 people. It is very quiet and peaceful place. Towels and bedsheets are included ! A well-loved family house which has been home to five generations. Most of the house has been newly renovated 2013-2015. It is located on its own on the island of Torsö with a vast garden and a stunning view of lake Vänern from the spacious terrace.
