Skipperhuset

🏡 Skipperhuset is the oldest house on our family farm Birkenes located in Farsund municipality. The Skipper House was built in the 19th century and has been rehabilitated several times, most recently in the spring of 2021. In collaboration with a local painting company, we are working to make the house as authentic as possible, including wallpapering the living room, kitchen and hallway with skipper house wallpaper and linseed oil paint to preserve wood, etc. The Skipperhuset has a natural place on the farm and is located wall to wall with the brewery house which has a renovated baker's oven.

At the boathouse there is a jetty with a bathing ladder. The house has two bedrooms. Double bed in one and double bed with bunk in the other. Parkering inni garasjen og foran garasjeport. Det er stor terrasse mot vest, og beleggningsstein rundt huset igjen ved inngangspartiet. Noe av uteområdet er fortsatt under opparbeidelse.

The place offers a large outdoor area with a large lawn, a lovely Jacuzzi/hot tub (which can be rented from NOK 1000) terraces and more. Here there is plenty of space to unfold both indoors and outdoors. If you want to visit "civilization", it is only 45 minutes to Kristiansand Zoo, and 40 minutes to the southern town of Mandal.
