Stone Cottage in Grounds of a 16th-Century Castle

The cottage sits on the grounds of a castle dating back to 1543 offering an authentic stay. The interior retains a decor that matches the historic charm of the area with modern comforts added and a shared pool in the stunning gardens outside. This is our smallest cottage and cannot take an additional bed or cot. The other cottages are all larger and can do this. All 3 cottages can be rented separately or together. They are in the grounds of a 16th century castle with beautiful gardens and large swimming pool enclosed by stone walls. The lower salon and summer kitchen in the main chateau is available to share. Access is by the side garden gate and all cottages are accessed by stone steps- sadly not suitable for wheelchairs. We will most likely be present living in the main Chateau and available to help and advise about restaurants and things to do in the area. We will share the pool and gardens. The old village is in a beautiful part of France that is has retained its iconic beauty through the centuries and still feels untouched by modern life in many places. Experience true local dining and bakeries with scenic walking trails all around. parking is in the church square below the Chateau. There is a local taxi service in the village and bus service to Avignon, Banyols sur Ceze and Uzes but car hire is recommended. We are 20 minutes from Avignon TGV rail station and about an hour from Marseille, Nimes or Montpellier airports. The cottages are completely private and tranquil.

Bastide d'Andréa house for 12

The Bastide is situated in a charming Gardean village, calm and peaceful in the South of France. This magnificent mansion offers a generous interior living space, propitious for resting and serenity. La Bastide d’Andréa is a nice mansion of 280 m², with a second floor, having the possibility to welcomes 12 people. A dining-room and 2 living-rooms of 50 m², independant kitchen and a fireplace. Gym with air-conditioning with a treadmill, body-building bench, bike .Piano. The villa has 6 bedrooms :3 bedrooms with double bed of 160, 3 bedrooms with single beds of 90. Heated private swimming pool,the swimming pool is heated from April to October. Garden of 3000 m2, covered pool-house of 120 m² with entirely equipped kitchen. Clear view, no neighbours. From the mount Aigoual to Port Camargue, the Gard offers highly contrasted landscapes and exceptional place of interest to visit. Nîmes the Roman, Uzès and its duchy, the Gard bridge, Anduze and its bambouseraie (bamboo plantation), the small steam train of the Cévennes, the medieval village of Vézénobres, the Camargue, Aigues Mortes and its ramparts. To the North, not far from Martignargues, the National Reserve of the Cévennes shelters an extremely diversified patrimony, to the South the Mediterranean coast offers with the fauna and flora of the Camargue another vision of the Gard.

Within this wonderful and calm environment, you will also be given the opportunity to spend some relaxing moments around the outside swimming pool and its pool-house.
