Beachfront holiday rental in Mason County

We immediately felt at home with the cozy and welcoming decor. The personal touches made it feel more like a family cottage than a rental which was a major plus! The kitchen had everything we needed - including condiments, baking items and spices. We cooked most of our meals at the cottage so we could maximize our beach time and watch every sunset. The grill was so clean we figured it was brand new. The cottage was clean and had lots of extra towels, pillows, linens and other essentials. Our only regret is that we didn’t book another week!

We loved staying on Vacation Lane! What a quiet, sweet little neighborhood right on the water. the beds were comfy and everything was clean and cozy. We especially loved putting our paddle boards in to Lake Hamlin and floating around, looking at fish and birds. Stix is really close and was our favorite place to eat. We'd love to come back again! We originally booked a different cottage in Ludington….only to find out we accidentally booked it for the wrong date. We cancelled that reservation and booked this location instead. Host responded immediately- huge relief to us since we were already on our way to the area. Directions to the house were spot on, which made it easy to find. Even though this was a last minute reservation, the house was ready for us. Yes, the furniture is dated but that was fine with us. There is so much to do in the area that we were gone most of the time. However, we did spend some time at the house to do some fishing out on the lake- they have a boat and canoe onsite that we were able to take out. Our last night there, we sat out by the fire pit and stargazed while we fished. It was perfect! Communication with host couldn’t have been any better. They checked in with us to make sure all was going well and responded right away when I accidentally locked ourselves out of the house. Would stay again.

We had a fantastic stay. The house was clean; very nicely updated and decorated. The beds and pillows were so comfy. The screened porch with a view of the trees and lake with the lake breeze rolling in was so relaxing. The neighborhood is peaceful. We brought a small fishing boat we tied up to the dock and fished every day. There are 50+ stairs to/from the lake. The driveway angles downward toward the house. Julie and Mary Jo were friendly and available for questions. We had a great time and would stay there again.

A perfect stay for me, all of my expectations were met. Lake access a super fun bonus!

Great place to stay for a few days in Ludington! It was within 15 minutes of walking downtown and right across from Stearns Beach. We loved watching the sunset every night.

Great place. The price is just fine. I'd like the heater a little bit hotter, but... the same happens in all motels. I would return.

Great area of town, walkable to beach and restaurants.

Perfect fit for us. Beach & Park across the street. Walked to town for dinner @ Hamlin Restaurant, only place to eat on Sunday evening, exceptional food. Early in May 2025 cool winds but a sunny 2 days. Got a super picture of the sunset across the street from our room. Chairs outside our room, benches & picnic tables to enjoy the outdoors, friendly people walking & look @ the stars on a clear night.

Excellent location. Steps from the beach and a short walk to town. Ben was super nice and responsive. We can’t wait to stay again next year!

This is a great spot - right across the street from the beach, breakwall, a mini-golf course, and skatepark! Short walk to downtown as well. Everything was clean and straight forward.

The perfect location for beach, biking, and shops. everything was exactly as described and Ben was very responsive to our questions. We only stayed one night, but we were happy to have chosen this location.

Great place with great location! Very clean and quiet, with a welcoming feel. Very close to the beach and within 10 mins of a drive to the state park beach. Walkable to downtown Ludington. Would definitely return!

This was a solo trip for me, so I was looking for something close to the beach (which is right across the street) as well as being in walking/biking distances to downtown. The room had all the basic amenities that I needed. The room was perfect - not too big or too small. It gave me the beach vibe and after a long day of being out when I walked into the room it was always so bright, vibrant, and relaxing. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom even though it is small - the shower was nice. I would definitely stay here again and maybe stay in a bigger unit.
