Beachfront holiday rental in Mason County

What a beautiful location and immaculate in and out. Never had been to the area and we definitely will be back.

The Lake House was an incredible place to spend some quality time with my kids. Debbie was a great host and the house was extremely clean, comfortable, and very well-stocked. The use of the rowboat, kayaks, fishing equipment, and life jackets was much appreciated. Debbie was always prompt to respond. We got lucky and had amazing weather the first two days. We loved being on the water and even saw a bald eagle snatch a fish right out of the lake. I would love to make a stay at The Lake House an annual trip; it was that good!

Cabin was lovely and well-appointed. Had a very spacious bathroom which is often not the case for these smaller cabins. Furniture was comfy and in a good arrangement. Instructions were clear. Can be tricky to find in the dark, but host lit up the cabin so nicely that as soon as we turned the last corner, we saw it. Will seek it out again.

Our stay at the Ostrich nest was great! Right on the water, with plenty of amenities and a fantastic outdoor space to take advantage of. We kayaked around the island in about 95 leisurely minutes using the provided kayaks and paddles. A/C was available but not needed - yet good to know it was there. The kitchen had everything you'd expect from a short term rental as well. All in all, it was a good weekend.

This home is a must.....I’m already planning to book again! The stay and views were amazing at this peaceful waterfront home. One of the highlights was how quiet and serene it was, which made it perfect for my relaxing birthday weekend getaway. Sitting out on the deck, watching birds and seals, was such a cool experience. We loved having direct access to the water at low tide, just walk right down the stairs! It’s also a great spot to launch kayaks or paddle boards, but be cautious of oyster shells during low tide. The home is dog-friendly, which was a huge plus for me. My two golden retrievers had the best time playing in the water and lounging on the deck. If you’re looking for a relaxing stay with a great view, this is the place. Bonus tip: If you like a good sandwich, try the prime rib dip at the Union Country Store, it was amazing!

We had such a lovely stay here over the Easter weekend – it was everything we hoped for and more! The house is clean, beautifully kept, and the views? Absolutely breathtaking. It’s one of those rare places that feels even better in person than in the pictures. It had everything we could possibly need – and then some. The hosts were simply wonderful – super friendly, accommodating, and just really easy to talk to. They made the whole experience feel warm and personal, not distant or transactional in any way. They even let us check in early and check out late, which made a huge difference for us with kids. Our days were filled with beach walks, seafood harvesting adventures, backyard chill time, and gorgeous sunsets. It felt like a perfect little reset from our busy lives. We were also celebrating our daughter’s 4th birthday during the stay, and she had an absolute blast. Can’t wait to come back. Thank you Dale & Carol.

I came here with a group of 10 people, and we were so in love with this place that we already started talking about coming back. The home is beautiful, and it's in a magical location - we took full advantage of being on a lake! The pizza oven and the tents were really fun additions, too. This was one of my favorite Airbnb experiences I've ever had, and I 100% recommend staying here.

Andrea and Lincoln’s home was really family-friendly, clean great place. They were friendly and accommodating, making our short weekend getaway easy. Great people!

This place was great! Kids were fully entertained the entire time! We played on the beach, swam in the pool, made smores, and read ghost stories. It was perfect!

Eight friends (four couples) joined my husband and I to celebrate my birthday with a getaway weekend for pickleball and relaxation. Laura's home was spacious and more than comfortable for our group. The kitchen is well-stocked, the patio dining lovely. Saturday morning was rainy. We enjoyed relaxing on the very-comfortable deck by the fire pit with books and conversation. It was cozy and didn't dampen the weekend whatsoever as the accommodations were so lovely. We loved the pickleball court and had a fabulous weekend stay!

What a great stay at Jeffrey’s place! The check-in was smooth, and the space was huge (so much more than I was even expecting). The amenities looked inviting, and the condo has everything for cooking and keeping things tidy. I would recommend the Fred Meyer in nearby Shelton for groceries and anything fresh you might want, it seems more accessible than supermarkets in Belfair. The spot was extremely private and peaceful, and having our own walking space and beach for the resort was a really convenient touch. Thanks again for a lovely visit!

Absolutely look forward to staying here again. Wonderful kitchen to cook family meals. Large table and roomy family room with incredible view of MT Rainier while you eat and socialize. The communication was outstanding with the local host.

We absolutely loved our short time here! The home is exactly as described, one of the cleanest Airbnbs I've stayed in, and has an unbelievable view. We saw a family orcas, porpoises, and a seal from the deck! Rose is very responsive and sent all information we needed to use and access the home and amenities! The community hall is also terrific and a great place to meet other visitors/residents of the island. We will definitely be coming back! :)

Wonderful stay. Beautiful surroundings and very cozy and comfortable house and furnishings. Really nice to have a hot tub right there with a view! Great for a big family or small group. Kitchen was very well supplied. Lots to do right around the property. Hosts had everything very organized and easy to follow. Would 100% stay again!

What more could you ask for, with a place by the lake. Propane gas ready for cooking on the grill, a nice seated area overlooking the lake. And big window outside of each room for good views. Very comfortable, very easy living, by the lake.

Great place to stay on the water with a dog. Fully fenced yard with a great view of the mountains when the sky is clear. Loved that there was a covered deck with string lights plus a table fire pit — you never know what kind of weather you get in WA. Lots of seals in the area and if you keep an eye out, they come right up to the house as they catch their dinner. 🐟

Wonderful stay! Some street noise from the busy road and gas station across the street, but the location is ideal for walkability to all of Hoodsport’s main attractions, and being right on the water was amazing! The house is super clean, modern, and well-appointed. Kerry was super responsive to any questions we had.

This property is amazing! The hosts were super friendly, responsive, and went above and beyond! They made me feel very comfortable, and were a pleasure to rent from, especially for such a last minute weekend excursion. I do want everyone who rents here to be aware that it is very important to stay within the property and that includes the beach. The neighbors are not comfortable with renters venturing past the property line. But the oysters right in the backyard beach of the Airbnb were SOOO good, and plentiful! I overlooked a message with important information such as, WiFi password, the rule regarding the beach access, and sauna instructions. This is my own mistake, I want everyone to be vigilant so you don’t have any hiccups like us along the way! Again, the hosts are amazing, respectable, and kind people with a beautiful, fun rental. Understand the rules, respect the neighbors privacy, and rent this Airbnb it was amazing!

It’s a must if you are looking for a peaceful family getaway! Our family really enjoyed the beautiful views, open windows, spacious patio, kayaks and wildlife. The property was very clean, with clear and detailed instructions. Definitely returning for a longer stay!

We loved our stay at Chau's place. Right in town, so easy to walk to grocery store, brewery, winery, coffee shop, etc; but feels like you are a world a way the second you get out of your car. Pretty unique from that standpoint! We weren't even there for a true low tide but the tidelands were better than any place we've stayed at in the Hood Canal, incredible selection of Oysters, Clams, and we even got two Geoducks all with less effort than any other place we've visited or any park. House was perfect for two families. Both front and back yard were great. Kitchen had all the amenities for cooking up our seafood feasts and plenty of room to spread out. Overall awesome, thanks!

Great overall stay, definitely recommend for people looking to have a peaceful getaway. The host was fantastic and very organized. Hope to plan another trip here in the future!

Had a very quiet and relaxing 2 days here. Surprisingly I was the only guest, which made for a very peaceful visit. The ladies were both extremely friendly and helpful, opening up the store for me when I had a “snack emergency” even though it was after closing time. The location was perfect, right on the water. They loaned me binoculars so I could watch the seals and birds. I got to tour a. Couple of the other units which was great because I’ll be coming back and now I know which place I’ll stay in next. There is nothing near by so make sure you come prepared. The store does have a decent selection of things, but you’ll still want to bring your groceries with you. Thank you for a nice quiet break from city life!

What a lovely and peaceful spot! We had a great time at the house, and the lake is a great place for the kids to kayak. We would definitely go back and recommend it to others!
