A perfect place to be quiet in a natural setting. The cabin has a very California wabi sabi vibe. All details in design and furnishings are high taste and high quality. The neighborhood has a natural feel, oaks all round. Birds flourish. I checked out the dawn chorus every morning to hear the first birds. It might be the Bewick’s wren, oak titmouse, spotted towhee, lesser goldfinch, mockingbird. In my two weeks I saw or heard a total of 74 bird species at the cabin or within short drives. I recommend this spot highly, and Charlie and his wife were perfect hosts.

We rented both the main house and the Zen Studio for the family to celebrate my mother’s 90th birthday. The setting is beautiful and made the weekend feel very special. We had everything we needed, especially in the kitchen, and everything was clean and comfortable . Nice attention to detail such as cabinets with labels. Lots of places outside to rest, relax and enjoy the lovely views. Grocery store nearby.

Adam and Kerstin were extremely wonderful hosts. The space was beyond what they described in the best way. Many airbnbs lack the attention to detail but this one went above and beyond and was truly luxurious. It was perfectly placed to have peace and quiet but also close enough to town to grab dinner and coffee in the morning. Adam and Kerstin were extremely responsive and helpful but were respectful of our space. We can’t recommend the meal option enough. Nothing was as good as getting to the unit and having a fully prepared and delicious meal ready for us to enjoy as the sun was setting over the mountains. This weekend was so special to us in numerous ways and Adam and Kerstin’s hospitality was certainly one of them and something we’ll remember. This cabin has such a familiar, comforting vibe—it feels like stepping into a place your soul already knows. The sound of the creek just outside the door added a gentle soundtrack to my stay, and I especially loved having breakfast in the screened-in porch each morning. Everything was easy to find thanks to the clear directions and the helpful guest handbook, and the thoughtful touches (like fresh apples and eggs) made me feel genuinely welcomed. If you’re looking to truly get away from it all and reset in nature, this is a perfect spot.
