Family-friendly holiday rentals in Matthews

We have not used AirBnB many times, but this one stands out as the best experience yet! What a lovely, clean, tidy, quaint, attractive, simple, elegant, and comfortable lakeside property this is. We enjoyed cooking meals, grilling, soaking in the hot tub, sunset cocktails on the dock. Planning to return in the future for another stay!

We had a lovely weekend getaway at the Tini House in Concord! The space is definitely tiny but so well distributed, every corner is thoughtfully used. The bed was super comfy, and little details like the rain boots and wood logs for the firepit made the experience extra special. The eco-shower was surprisingly refreshing and added to the charm of the place. It was incredibly peaceful and the perfect spot to disconnect. The only thing we weren’t crazy about was the shared eco-restroom, but overall, it was a wonderful stay. Thank you for the peaceful escape!

Perfect and Convenient Location I had an amazing experience staying at this AirBnB! The place was exactly as described. It had everything I needed for a comfortable stay, from a well-equipped kitchen to a soft, inviting bed. I am live nearby but rented this airbnb for my daughter’s HS graduation party. Private backyard size with a pool, perfect for the occasion. The location was incredibly convenient – close to great restaurants, shops, and public transportation, yet peaceful and quiet at night. It was the perfect spot for exploring the area. The host, Marshall was excellent from the beginning, super responsive and helpful, making the check-in and check-out process a breeze. Their thoughtful touches, like local recommendations and little amenities, truly made me feel at home. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area, and I look forward to staying here again on my next trip!

Not enough good things to say about my stay here! Location was excellent, house was nice, beds comfy, host responsive and helpful. Don’t over think the complaints about noise, it’s not bad at all and to be expected when you’re 5 minutes from a major city. Plenty of driveway but it’s a little narrow for larger vehicles, that being said there’s also off street parking right out front. Loved the place!

A group of my friends and I stayed here for a weekend. I am from the area originally and the location cannot be beat. It a gorgeous lakefront property and we rented a boat/captain for dinner on Friday to take us down the river to a waterfront restaurant. We heated the pool but ended up using the hot tub instead. The furnishings and house itself are not new or “modern” but it looked exactly as described/and in the photos, and the house is even bigger overall. For the price, this was a great deal. We spent our time hanging out in the kitchen which had enormous windows looking outside, and on the deck, and it was super comfortable for all 11 of us there. Robert was incredibly communicative and always available to answer questions. We wished we could move in! I’d definitely stay there again. Great for large groups.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The location is absolutely beautiful. We loved waking up with the big windows that look right out on the lake, and the giant hot tub was an awesome perk. Steve was a great host - quick to respond to any questions, and was gracious and accommodating with our late checkout. Will definitely be coming back in the summer months!

I loved this stay. The beds made you feel like you’re right at home. And that’s exactly what I was looking for. Oh and the kitchen great for cooking all my meals. It’s in a great location. There was so many stores near by & it was just an amazing stay all the way around. I would recommend & book this stay again 🫶🏽 .

Kathrine was amazing! There was a slight hiccup when checking in, which was not her fault, and she responded quickly and handled the issue immediately. The surroundings were peaceful and we loved staying there.

Jen’s place is a gem for someone who loves animals! It was a blast to sit on the porch and watch the animals. The inside was clean, well stocked and plenty spacious.

My family was in Charlotte for a sad event and Mikes home was not only very comfortable but had lots of areas of the home we could individually escape to and be alone with our thoughts. We spent 5 nights and went for walks, watched our 2 pups play in the yard and enjoyed the fully stocked kitchen and the cozy dining room for meals. The bedrooms were all nicely decorated and beds and pillows super comfortable. Our trip was unexpected and we hadn’t packed enough clothing. It was super helpful being able to wash and dry our clothes. Mikes appliances were so nice it was a reminder I would love to replace my washer and dryer! My immediate and extended family visit Charlotte often. I am so grateful to have found this gem of a house. No doubt we will be back often. Oh and I must suggest a fabulous place to have dinner if you like seafood and sushi….New Zealand Cafe. Quaint, delicious and extremely affordable. Took an Uber in order to indulge in adult beverages!

Wonderful and beautiful place to stay! Many wonderful amenities that make the place just that much better! Check-in was easy and fast with clear instructions. 10/10 would recommend staying here if you want to be in a beautiful neighborhood surrounded by wonderful places to eat and fun things to do!

A Hidden Gem in SouthPark! Our stay at this charming basement apartment in SouthPark was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the thoughtful touches, stylish decor, and overall comfort the space provided. It truly felt like a private retreat tucked away in one of Charlotte’s most beautiful and walkable neighborhoods. The apartment was immaculately clean, spacious, and luxurious. The furnishings were high-end and tastefully chosen, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the modern bathroom felt spa-like. We also appreciated the well-equipped kitchenette, cozy living area, and beautifully crafted covered patio — perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Location-wise, you really can't beat it. The place was exactly what my family needed. I really appreciated the quality of the sheets and blankets in the rooms. Slept really well. kitchen and dining areas served our needs. Great, responsive host and comfortable, safe place to stay if you need to be close to the University. We would definitely stay again.

We rented this first floor condo unit for two weeks to be near our son and his family after the birth of their baby. It was perfectly located. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware. It was clean and comfortable. The pool is a quick walk away and quite nice. There are close restaurants and stores. Lake Norman is a very short drive away, and there are lovely greenways easily accessible for walks. There is some noise from people walking upstairs at times, but it’s not excessive and to be expected in a first floor unit. It made a comfortable and affordable “home away from home” during our stay.

My family and I loved our stay at Erin's place. The house was nice and had a big fenced in backyard which was great for our dog. Erin was very responsive and gave clear instructions for check-in and check-out. The area is great and just a few minutes down the street from downtown Matthews. I highly recommend Erin's home to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area!

Very private, safe, and quiet. Could barely hear a thunderstorm which was great as our dog is scared. Rachel's communication is on point. She was very responsive and very accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.

I booked this home so my husband and I could visit our family for the holidays who live about 30 mins away. It was able to accommodate us perfectly. I also have a baby who was able to have an entire nursery to herself which was such a blessing as we wanted her to be comfortable and unaffected. Even though the owners live at the property, the home was absolutely spotless and we felt right at home. They even had a Christmas tree up that we were so excited to gather around on Christmas morning. Very grateful to have found this listing!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay! The unit had anything you could possibly need. Was great not having to run to the store to get this or that as they already had everything available. Very clean!

Absolutely loved our stay here, we were in Charlotte for a concert at the BOA and it was a quick 9 minute drive to and from! The place is just as listed and everything was very clean and the host was very responsive!
