Holiday houses in Mavros Kolimpos

Our week at the place was just fantastic. The place fully corresponds to the photos. The amenities are great and the view from the upper bedrooms is wonderful. You can also reach the bay below via a small path. Claudia was a great contact person, answers quickly and made it possible for us to have a great stay with her tips. She also reserved restaurants for us. The place is a 10/10 and we (7 girls) can fully recommend it.

This little gem is a real dream. We felt incredibly comfortable right from the start. The view is breathtaking, and we really enjoyed walking down to the pebble beach in just one minute - even without bathing shoes, no problem - and then enjoying the outdoor area to the fullest. The bathroom is small, but thanks to the outdoor shower, it didn't bother us at all - on the contrary, we were completely happy. A car is definitely an advantage, as no taverns or shops are within walking distance. Georgia was a wonderful hostess and surprised us with loving welcome gifts: fresh fruit, juice, chocolate, wine and even spaghetti. Also the wifi worked great. In retrospect, we are almost a little sad that we could only spend four nights there. The place simply invites you to enjoy and relax - and the view of the sea is wonderfully calming.

We felt incredibly comfortable and the terrace was bigger and nicer than it looks in the picture - the most important place to stay anyway. The proximity to the beach was priceless and we slept particularly well and deeply at the sound of the sea. Thank you Zampia, for this unforgettable holiday

One of the best Airbnb experiences we've had!

Beautiful place and surroundings, very privet and secluded. Wonderful view. The house has everything we needed: fully equipped kitchen, very comfy bed, very cozy furniture. We felt at home. We hope next year we’ll be come back! Katerina is a wonderful host! She was always on touch, helped with everything we needed! Also, her mum’s sweets were very delicious!! Thank you very much, Katerina!

This is a wonderful flat to stay in, you can see the sun rise every morning and it has a lovely see view. The place is very clean, tastefully decorated and with all facilities you will need. It is very spacious and has a large lounge/ kitchen/ dining area. There are lovely beaches nearby, the most practical for a swim is probably the one in front of the Gallini beach bar/ restaurant down the road (you can walk to it), but there is also a beautiful secluded beach in front of the house if you can manage the rocky path down to it. There are two bigs towns nearby, Ierapetra, which is very modern, and Makry Gialos, which is the most wonderful 70s style beach town. The food in the area is excellent, we ate very well at Kallionitza in Koutsouras, just before Makry Gialos, as well as at Stratos, just before the port of the same town. The landscape is very hilly and rocky but the roads are in great condition. Kyriaki and Georgiou (hope they forgive the spelling) are very helpful and generous hosts, and will make your stay a very friendly and relaxed one. This was possibly our best Airbnb experience so far, and we’ve had quite a few!

This was a brilliant place to stay and recommend it to anyone wishing to stay in South East Crete. The house is 10 minutes away in a car from the main Makry Gialos village resort but there are also a few hidden beaches only a few minutes away. We checked out other apartments of similar prices within the resort but none of them would compare with the quality and space provided in this house. The sea view is from each balcony was spectacular to wake up to every morning. We also discovered a delightful nature walk behind the house in the hills which gave an opportunity to discover pomegranates, lemons and other exotic fruit within touching distance. Will definitely be coming here again!

We had a lovely week at the Airbnb! The view is everything! You have to keep in mind that you defiantly need a car tho… there is a nice beach about 10 minute walk from the place, but very steep downhill. It was our first time being on Crete and this place is definitely in a very quiet area, the next bigger supermarket and towns being a 20 minute drive away. The Airbnb itself is amazing, with its 3 bedrooms with Ac, 2 bathrooms and the balcony facing the ocean. It is placed on a really nice property with an outdoors kitchen and multiple places to eat! Would definitely come again! It you’re looking for a very calm place this is it!
