Cottage holiday rentals in Melides

An exceptional secluded paradise. We stayed there for a week to visit the Algarve and were there as a couple and with our dogseta who was delighted. Silvia provided us with instructions to get to the house properly (not following the gps). The place is very quiet, secluded and is reached by a flattened dirt trail between vineyards. The house is wooden and very big and spacious. It has a large enclosed deck ideal for being read there or playing board games. The house is well finished and secluded and has screens on all windows. The kitchen is very well equipped with all the utensils and some basic ingredients. The garden is wide with a very clean pool, of which Silvia takes care of daily without disturbing. Silvia has made it easy for us any needs and we are very happy about it; we repeat the stay without a doubt.

It's been a wonderful vacation - the place is perfect for rest, and the photos don't do it justice. The property consists of four houses, one common (with pool, treadmill, etc.) and several lounging areas around the pool, clean and good size, as well as a pond full of fish. In the area there are several villages with supermarkets and good restaurants; Évora is 40 minutes away. It is a perfect place to get to know the Alentejo and spend the day for example in Lisbon or Évora. The owners, Mathieu and Martha, are absolutely lovely, attentive, polite and respectful. They have been attentive to our needs without being invasive. We are sure that we will repeat it, and we highly recommend it to everyone.

Very spacious house with pleasant terraces and a lovely swimming pool. Carlos and his wife welcomed us with open arms! They were very friendly and very flexible with check-in and check in. Absolutely recommended!

Maura is an excellent host and ambassador for the region. Nothing was too much trouble, even delivered breakfast to our room that evening, as we had to leave before breakfast was commenced in the dining room. The accommodation was exceptional and spacious..quiet and peaceful. Would be a nice getaway if we had longer!

Nice place with an insanely beautiful beach nearby. House is nice with lots of places around the house to always sit in the sun or shade. Also nice that the space around the house is shielded with vegetation and a fence ( due to small kids). House felt very clean and thoughtfully decorated. Nice arrival with lights on and a drink in the refrigerator, plenty of towels and nice smell and soap everywhere, etc. Wonderful stay in the hammock and porch porch. but the breathtaking beach so close to the house was really the best.

This is a special spot in a gorgeous part of the Setubal peninsula. It's extremely quiet and even though there is a house behind and next to it, it feels very private. Even when people were enjoying the pool in the house behind this one, I could barely hear them as I sat out on my peaceful front patio. The completely fenced-in yard was a great spot for my dog to explore. The kitchen is completely stocked and the rental even came with paper towels (a true rarity), and a complimentary bottle of wine and water. The bathroom had plenty of soap and toilet paper -- something that's not always a given here. The beds were comfortable, the windows were new and solid, and the outdoor shower was a nice way to cool off after a ride using the included bikes. The region is gorgeous with many beautiful hikes and vistas everywhere. Perhaps the best part of it all though, was Joao's communication. He was always quick to respond and had great local recommendations. Can't wait to come back!

We stayed here for our honeymoon two years ago and couldn't wait to come back. the area is so beautiful and the traditional Alentejo house is lovely. There is a good walking & cycling route along the ecopista, with lots of nature to see and hear. In the main town there are some excellent restaurants and the town market on Saturday is excellent. We love it here and we'll return!

Nice stay over Easter. Great for dogs - we went on nice walk down the quiet lanes. 25 minutes to the beach.

We had an amazing weekend at Maria’s property in Alcácer do Sal. The place is stunning – vast, walkable, and full of character. We loved spending time with the three friendly dogs, two horses, and the sweetest donkey – a real highlight. The house was spotless, with all the essentials, comfy beds, and great linens and towels. The welcome basket was a lovely touch, and the hand-drawn map of the property made exploring so easy. But the best part was Maria and her husband. They were so welcoming, responsive, and genuinely kind. We even got to visit their motorbike museum – a totally unexpected and super impressive experience. All in all, a fantastic stay – can’t wait to come back. Thank you, Maria, for a wonderful weekend♥️.

The grandmother's house corresponded exactly to the photos, it was very well equipped, well cared for and was very welcoming, in which we felt as if we were at home. It has a nice outdoor space and you can park on the premises. In addition, it is well located about 10 minutes from the beaches of Sesimbra. From the beginning, we felt well received by Gonçalo, who always responded whenever we had any questions, as well as by Mr. Afonso, who received us in a very friendly way and was always available to help us. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to spend a few days in Sesimbra, whether you go as a couple or with small children!

Even though it rained during our stay, we really enjoyed our time at Antonio’s house. The location is absolutely stunning – right in front of the ocean – and the house itself is very cozy, especially with the fireplace. The kitchen is perfectly equipped, which we really appreciated. With five people, it felt a little tight indoors when the weather wasn’t great, especially around the small table. On sunny days, I’m sure it’s twice as beautiful with the outdoor space. Antonio was very proactive and checked in with us several times – a very thoughtful host.

The view was absolutely amazing! Loved having coffee on the patio every morning and beautiful sunsets at night!

We had a great stay in the cabin among the orange trees. The place is very private and the place charming, with everything you will need. We stayed 5 nights which allowed us to visit the beaches/surroundings by car. Go with your eyes closed! And don't miss the sunsets on the beaches of Porto Covo.

We stayed at Daniel's place for a little more than a week. It was a very restful experience for us in a beautiful rural setting. There are services like restaurants and grocery stores within a close distance at Montemor-o-Novo. It is easy to make meals at the house if you want, the kitchen is well equipped. The house is nicely renovated in a way that blends new and old. It feels very spacious even though it is a modest size. There is an outdoor eating area shaded by a trellis and a large tree that provides a great space for outdoor dining and relaxing. The house interior stays at a comfortable temperature even when it is quite warm outside. Daniel was very helpful with suggestions about things to do in the area and where to eat. We would definitely return again if possible.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We went on beautiful walks, both locally and at various locations along the coastline. The scenery is breathtakingly beautiful, especially at sunset. The cottage is well equipped and we had everything we needed. Eric and Alexandra were helpful and kind. It was not as private as we originally believed. There are other guests on the site. The pool is shared, and is located by the owner's house. This was fine with us, just not what we understood from the ad. Thanks again for everything
